Why Write About Hot Teachers? by Wendi Zwaduk (@wendizwaduk)

I want to thank Lucy for having me over today. I’m a big fan of her work and love getting to hang out with her. This should be a blast.

My latest release, Drawn Together, features teachers. Now, someone asked me if I was uneasy writing about teachers. I asked them why would I be? “Because teachers can’t do anything bad.” I shrugged. Yes and no. Teachers are people, too. They want love and affection like everyone else. They just have to be a little more…tightlipped about how they go about finding a potential mate.

There are some teachers who have done things that aren’t cool. I won’t go into details, but those aren’t my teachers. Most teachers are great, selfless people who work to help their students succeed.  They are expected to behave in public and act like…well, teachers. That isn’t to say they don’t have moments where they aren’t the most upstanding. Everyone has those moments. But teachers are held to a higher standard.

So back to that question: why write about hot teachers? Tessa and Graig are normal human beings who want love. Plain and simple, they want to find that one person who makes them whole. Can they get mushy in front of students? Nope. Park next to each other in the same parking lot? Sure. They work in a high school—even if they didn’t share a hallway, EVERYONE in a secondary school talks.  Once Graig and Tessa started talking to me, I had to write their story.

Tessa is one of those people who has a true potential but hasn’t found it. She’s been knocked down a lot and is still getting her footing.  She teaches art and has a secret wild side. Graig? He’s an ex-jock who hasn’t quite shed his jock image. He’s lusted after the art teacher since he started at the school and won’t give up until she’s his.

I guess that’s why I wrote about hot teachers. I wanted these two people who might not normally find their way to each other to do just that—find love in each other’s arms.

Thanks to Lucy for having me. Here’s a little bit about Drawn Together:

Graig Case wants to teach history and coach baseball. Plain and simple. But nothing in his life has been simple. He’s also got a secret. He loves to watch the sexy woman across the courtyard dance. He’d love for his fantasy girl to be his best friend, but fantasy and reality don’t always mix.

Tessa Martin has given up on love. She’s played second fiddle most of her life. Guys like hanging out with her. But being one of the guys doesn’t keep her warm at night. Still, she indulges in her one treat—dancing naked at night for Graig. No emotions involved means no one gets hurt.

Except when they end up working in the same school, in the same hallway. Then all bets are off.

Inside Scoop: This lucky hero gets to take control when his new girl encourages him to spank her.

And a little bit about me!

I’ve always dreamt of writing the stories in my head. Tall, dark, and handsome heroes are my favorites, as long as he has an independent woman keeping him in line.  I love playing with words and letting the characters run wild.

NASCAR, Ohio farmland, dirt racing, animals and second chance romance  all feature prominently in my books.  I also write under the pen name of Megan Slayer. Come join me for this fantastic journey!

If you like my work, tell your friends and email me. I love hearing from readers!
