Jack is an up and coming stand-up comedian. I haven’t seen him live, though I almost saw him at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival last year… maybe next time, eh? Anyhoo – Mock the Week fans probably recognise this lil cutie as he’s guest starred a few times. He’s not quite as funny as some of the others, but compared to him they’re oldies and have had much longer to hone their talents.

So – he’s young, cute, kinda geeky looking, amusing, and has the most yummy accent. He’s a posh boy, you see. He could say anything in that ‘proper’ English accent and I’d listen. Wouldn’t necessarily agree, but he doesn’t need to know that, does he?

Its predecessor, the Rampant Rabbit Thruster was a best-seller – so this updated model promises to make even more vibe-loving ladies eager to part with their hard-earned cash. With its brand new thrusting technology, this model of vibrator sure is out to impress.

The first toy to feature thrusting technology so powerful it ‘feels like the real thing’, the Rampant Rabbit Thruster Deluxe boasts 3 unique thrusting modes and a clitoral stimulator with 3 intense vibration settings. All this combined with a 6 inch length and 5 inch girth, this bad boy earns every penny of its £49 price tag.

I have to say, though, that this toy is more suitable for size queens. The girth is large to the point of uncomfortable, so if you prefer a slimmer vibrator, then this isn’t for you. Either way, don’t forget the lube

Not so with the lovely Ryan Reynolds. In fact, I had several to choose from, but in the end I picked one where he wasn’t looking scary or wielding a weapon of some description. Quite a nice peek at the white boxer shorts there too!

So yes, Mr. Reynolds, of Two Guys, A Girl and A Pizza Place, Van Wilder, Blade and X-Men Origins: Wolverine fame is quite the cutie. He may be a complete dullard in real-life, of course, but his on-screen personality is often the cheeky-chappie, and his good-natured grin seems to fit with that… so I’ll go with it.

I’m also excited about the film Deadpool, which according to IMDB is in production – I loved the character in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, so hopefully a whole film to himself will be fab too!

Lastly… look and enjoy. *sigh*

1st March 2010 – Hello to you all on this fine March day. Or at least it was fine, earlier. It’s now pitch black and I’m indoors, so it doesn’t really matter. It was nice to look out of the window and see a bit of sun, rather than the torrential rain/snow/whatever that’s been causing havoc for the past few weeks. I know there’s still rather a lot of havoc going on elsewhere in the world, and I’m certainly not making light of that, but this is a happy, positive post so I’m not going to mention it!

So, good news:

My story, Beach Babe, was accepted by Xcite Books’ new e-publishing label, e-xcite eBooks. As a result, today is the publication day of Red Hot Reads 2, a smutty new anthology which also contains stories from Fulani, Jen Ricci, J. Manx and Eva Hore.

My tale is about a young woman called Megan, who’s relaxing holiday on a secluded island hots up when she meets a sex god while sunbathing on the beach. Grab the eBook to find out what happens…

Click here to buy it from Xcite’s website for just £2.99!

Secondly:

I’ve been dabbling in a little bit of self-publishing! I’d wanted to have a go at putting something on the Amazon Kindle for some time, so when I realised I still had the rights to two great stories – I had the idea. I’d put them together as a mini-book and put it on Amazon.com to see what happened! They fit together really nicely, as they’re both themed around the outdoors…

Here’s the blurb:

Whether you love or loathe the great outdoors – these stories will get you hot under the collar!

In Bird’s Eye View – the main character gets more than she bargained for when she heads out for a walk.

In Fun in the Forest, a dull team-building exercise suddenly takes a turn for the better for Anna.

So, if you’ve got a Kindle – download yours here.

Death’s Mistress is the second book in the Dorina Basarab series. I reviewed the first, Midnight’s Daughter, a while ago and enjoyed it. In fact, I’d go so far as to say Karen Chance is rather fabulous.

Dorina, or Dory as she prefers to be called is a dhampir – half-human, half-vampire – and the only way she can stay sane is by unleashing her sometimes uncontrollable rage on demons and vampires that deserve killing. At the beginning of the book, she’s hoping her life will be calm for a while – or at least as calm as it gets for her. She’s doing some work for her father, Mircea, to earn some cash and have some fun.

However, the quiet period of her life doesn’t last long at all, as two things happen at once. Her best friend Claire arrives, asking for Dory’s help in finding a magical relic; and the gorgeous vampire Louis-Cesare turns up. He too, is looking for something – his former mistress, Christine. Dory soon discovers that the two visitors’ causes are connected – it’s rumoured that the master vampire currently holding Christine is also in possession of the missing relic. Things quickly become more complicated.

Dory and Louis-Cesare have a past, so seeing him so eager to find Christine is hurtful, but if she can enlist his help to find the vamp with the relic, she’ll have a better chance of helping Claire. So she swallows her pride and does what she does best – gets on with it. However, Dory and Louis-Cesare discover there’s more at stake when Christine’s new master turns up dead – putting Louis-Cesare firmly in the frame.

Now Louis-Cesare is on the run, desperate to find the true killer before he’s forced to stand trial. Because he knows it won’t be a fair trial – and either way he stands to lose everything. The unlikely duo must find out what’s really going on, before it’s too late.

I didn’t enjoy this quite so much as the previous book, but it was still damn good and had me snatching minutes here and there, desperate to find out what happened next. Dory is a fab character; she’s a kick-ass chick with attitude, and some of her quips really make me laugh. What I like about these books is although they work as standalone novels, they’re better somehow when you’ve read more of them – i.e. the Dorina Basarab series also has several characters in common with the Cassandra Palmer series, so if you’ve read all the books, you have a richer experience. And I’d definitely recommend it. Don’t just read this one – read them all!

23rd February 2010 – Yes, I’ve done it again. I’ve used a photo from Hunk du Jour. But when the email came through featuring this photo, I couldn’t resist. He’s not a mega crush of mine (unlike those yummy Winchester bros), but he is cute. And so is this pic!

So anyway – I introduce James Marsden. Star of the X-Men films, Enchanted, 27 Dresses, The Notebook, this guy has had his hand in lots of different genres of film. He plays a bit of an arrogant arse in Enchanted and the X-Men films, but he’s quite the cutie in 27 Dresses. They’re all pretty good films in their own way, so if you fancy seeing more of the lovely Mr. Marsden, then I can recommend all of the above.

In the meantime… enjoy the pic!

Being the fan of all things vampire that I am, it’s pretty surprising that I’d never read a Lynsay Sands novel before. I’d heard of her, naturally, but there are so many books and so little time…

Anyway, our paths crossed eventually and I read Vampire, Interrupted. It tells the story of Marguerite Argeneau, a 700-year-old vampire. After the death of her husband, she is relishing her new-found freedom and has decided to begin a career as a private investigator. Her first task, track down Christian Notte’s father and convince him to give up the name of his son’s mother.

However, things are far from simple. Christian’s father, Julius Notte, has loved Marguerite for a long time – a very long time. When she turns up on his doorstep, demanding answers to very sensitive questions, it’s clear that something is wrong. They were so close, yet she doesn’t recognise him.

As he slowly fits the pieces of the puzzle back together, Julian believes he can find a way to help Marguerite and hopefully rekindle their long-lost love. However, he must do it quickly, because someone clearly doesn’t want his family history to be revealed, as the attacks on Marguerite have indicated. Can Julius, Marguerite, Christian and their friends work out what’s going on and put a stop to it, before it’s too late?

Vampire, Interrupted was, on the whole, a good read. It was fast-paced and very erotic in places. The storyline was excellent too. My only criticism was the number of characters. I found it quite difficult to keep track of all the characters, particularly as some of them had similar names. Several times I had to go back and check who was who. I believe there’s a family tree in the paperback, but I read this as an e-book, and it didn’t display. Other than that, though, a fab book. I’d definitely read more of Lynsay Sands’ books – particularly in this series – as I suspect there’s lots more to learn about the dozens of characters!

Zoë Daniels has been under pressure from her sister to take a vacation for quite some time. She finally relents and takes a trip to Carbrey, a fishing village between Edinburgh and Dundee. She’s rented a cottage for the week and plans to chill out and let her hair down.

However, the closer she gets to her destination, the more… peculiar Zoë feels. She feels horny for no apparent reason and the sensation seems to increase the closer she gets to her destination. Needing a breath of fresh air, Zoë gets out her car and admires the scenery. Moments later Grayson Murdoch zooms into her life on a motorcycle. Mistakenly believing she had car trouble, he’d pulled over to offer assistance. As she assures him she is fine, she has the feeling it won’t be the last she sees of him. Not to mention the fact that his appearance made her arousal situation ten times worse.

As Zoë finds her feet in the area and gets to know the locals, she’s told all about Annabel McGraw, the woman who used to own the cottage she’s renting, and whose spirit is rumoured to still be roaming its rooms. Ever the sceptic, she takes no notice of the talk. Soon, though, she’s unable to ignore it. For she’s having odd visions which appear to be insights into Annabel’s life – and death. As the visions get more vivid and frightening, Zoë is forced to confide in Grayson, who not only happens to be very attractive, but he’s also staying next-door.

Zoë’s not feeling quite as relaxed as she’d hoped – what with the appearance of ghosts, and the red-hot attraction between her and Grayson – but she’s certainly not bored. In fact, Zoë gets the impression she’s going to find it difficult to leave Carbrey behind. But is that her genuine sentiment, or are there other – more sinister – influences clouding her judgement?

I really enjoyed Rampant. Right from the off there’s a sizzling undertone of sexuality which continues right the way through the novel. It’s never off the boil! I’ve read lots of erotic supernatural books and stories, but never one about witches – and this one was a breath of fresh air. With sex scenes so hot you want to climb right on in there and join in, and spooky bits that’ll have you looking over your shoulder, there’s never a dull moment in Rampant. It flows beautifully and is a real page turner – I can heartily recommend this to any fans of erotica, the supernatural, or indeed, both.

The Emotional Bliss Womolia Heat is a strange beast. It comes in stylish, quality packaging and looks great. There’s a booklet in the box which not only tells you how to use the product, but how to set the mood for sexual encounters. It even goes so far to detail the four phases of female sexual response. So it’s nothing if not thorough.

However, the reality doesn’t quite measure up to the blurb. Yes, it’s pretty classy looking and powerful, but it does the massaging job much better than the mind-blowing orgasm one. It’s basically like the Womolia can’t decide what it wants to be – and for this reason, it fails dismally. I’m sure most women would prefer it to do one thing excellently than several things poorly. I know I certainly would.

The point of the toy is that the tip is supposedly angled for perfectly stimulating the clitoris and the sensitive first two inches at the entrance of your vagina. This may be… but once it’s there, it needs to do something more than just attend. Even 45 different settings later and I was still confused – and no closer to orgasm.

Overall, this toy is a waste of time – unless you really are that desperate for a massage. Even the fact it’s rechargeable and covered in an anti-bacterial agent doesn’t do much to boost my opinion.

Still want one? Go to SexShop365.
