Sex Toy Review: Screaming O Silicone Bullet Buddy Vibrator

I like the Screaming O range. It has a great variety of products and the prices aren’t too high, so I was pleased when I was sent some stuff to review.

The Screaming O Silicone Bullet Buddy Vibrator is a cute looking thing which packs a punch! I received the bullet with the monkey sleeve, but the other ones available are bunny, dolphin, bear and worm. Also, when you order, LoveHoney aren’t able to guarantee which one you’ll receive as they’re chosen at random. However, I don’t think it really matters as you won’t see much of it when it’s being used for its proper purpose!

The toy is basically a bullet with a cute sleeve, which is removable. The batteries last around 80 minutes and are replaceable. The button is at the bottom, as with most bullets. It’s a nice sturdy button which is impossible to get switched on by mistake if you’ve thrown it into your handbag or overnight bag. Therefore, this is the perfect toy for home or away. Only those in the know would realise what it was too.

The vibrations aren’t hugely powerful, but still a lovely sensation, either for masturbation or for additional stimulation during intercourse. It’s also fully submersible so great for bathtime fun!

Overall a lovely versatile toy which isn’t too pricey. If you don’t already have a bullet, you could do much worse than adding this to your collection. Though if you have one already, it’s not different enough to warrant the additional purchase.

Sex Toy Review: Durex Play Ultra

I’ve had my eye on the new Durex range for quite a while. Given they do condoms so well, I figured they’d be good at sex toys too. And as cock rings go, this isn’t bad. The Durex Play Ultra isn’t what you’d call a ‘normal’ cock ring; that is, it doesn’t form a solid ring around the penis. If you can see from the photo, it kind of ‘hooks’ around the penis.

It’s quite strange to look at, the vibrating part looks like a miniature penis and it took us a while to work out which way round it went on! There’s a little booklet inside the box with full instructions, and you’ve basically got the choice whether you want it to stimulate the woman’s clitoris or perineum. Unlike most cock rings, this doesn’t do a great deal for the fella in terms of making his climax more powerful. Obviously he’ll enjoy the vibrations but because it’s not fully surrounding the shaft, it probably won’t delay or intensify his orgasm. Basically, this toy is mainly about the woman. The battery pack included lasts for 20 minutes, and there’s a spare one included. However, you’d better hope it doesn’t run out mid-shag because it’s so fiddly to get the battery changed that you’ll both be fed up by the time you’ve got a new one in!

It does give the product extra value for money, though. You’d be a bit annoyed about spending just over a tenner on something you can use for 20 minutes. Even at 40 minutes it’s still pricey, but still good fun.

Overall, not a bad little toy. The vibrations won’t blow you away, but for women that find it easy to climax, it’s a great way to spend your money.

Sex Toy Review: Philips Warm Intimate Massager with Candlelights

Philips Candlelights and Warm Vibrating MassagerThis is somewhat of a departure from the normal kind of things I review – it still vibrates but can genuinely be used in an ‘intimate’ fashion which doesn’t necessarily relate to sex. The Philips Warm Intimate Massager and Candlelights pack is a great gift idea. The set comes in a really nice box and looks classy.

Inside you’ll find the Warm Intimate Massager. It won’t be warm, of course, you have to plug it in for that! It comes with its own charger which you place it on to charge, and there’s also a button on the dock system which you press when you want the unit to be warmed up. The unit itself is shaped to be easily held and massaged over the body. It’s made from a smooth material so slides easily across the skin, and it can be used in the bath or shower, and also with massage oils and similar. There are four vibration levels and several different modes – the best thing to do is play around with the settings to see what you like best.

Tucked away next to the massager are the candlelights. These are FANTASTIC. They come with a charging base which you simply sit them on until they’re fully charged. You then have 20 hours worth of power. To turn on and off you tilt them to the side. The LED bulb means you can place them anywhere without worrying about fire hazards, particularly useful if you don’t have many empty surfaces in your house! The lights even flicker to look like real candles, really helping to set a sexy atmosphere in which to use the massager.

Overall, this is a fabulous set. I thought the candles were better than the massager, reason being the massager wasn’t overly powerful. It’s more effective on some areas of the body. For example, on more fleshy parts of you it’s likely to just feel pleasant – whereas if you have your partner run it up and down your spine, you’ll get the ‘ooooh’ factor. I imagine this is also a great little toy for people who experience back pain – especially because of the warming feature. I’ll certainly be trying it out next time I’m suffering.

Sex Toy Review: Rudy Ring

Rudy RingsOn sourcing these for review from the manufacturer, I wasn’t aware that they are actually supposed to be for gay couples – I expect their PR Manager was very confused! Anyway, the Rudy Ring is a stretchy silicone cock ring with a seam down the middle – hence the sharing factor. As a heterosexual female, though, this didn’t apply. So my other half and I just split it down the seam and used it the way straight couples do! I did get sent two, though, so maybe next time we won’t split it and just use it for ‘extra support’ as per the manufacturer’s website. On to the review…

The Rudy Ring is, as promised, a stretchy ring. It’s too large to just be worn around the penis, unless you twist it around, but then you’d be in danger of it being too tight and your fella ending up in A&E or something! Its size is ideal to be placed over the penis and the ball-sack, further delaying ejaculation. I have it on good authority that it was comfortable to wear; and from a female perspective it didn’t chafe my bits. It did, however, rub against my clitoris when indulging in woman-on-top penetration, but because the material is so soft, it was definitely a pleasurable sensation!

A non-vibrating cock ring such as this one doesn’t give direct pleasure to the woman (except for the aforementioned point), but it does obviously delay ejaculation for the man – enabling him to go faster and harder (should you want him to!) whilst engaging in sex. It also has the added bonus of trapping more blood in the genitals, keeping him harder, and also providing a more explosive climax when it does arrive. Therefore, it indirectly gives pleasure to the woman because her bloke is harder and can last longer – brownie points all round I’d say!

The rings don’t come cheap for what they are, but because of their material there’s nothing stopping you washing them and re-using them again and again – which does give them an edge over their vibrating counterparts whose batteries usually aren’t replaceable.

Sex Toy Review: The Tingle Tip

I’d like to introduce… the Tingle Tip. This is an ingenious toy which is designed to be used with an electric toothbrush – it fits most Oral-B models, but check the website to see exactly which models are compatible. Even if you haven’t got an electric toothbrush – this toy is definitely worth buying one for! You can get a compatible toothbrush for about £14 when they’re on offer in places such as Boots, Superdrug, etc. Even when you’ve bought the Tingle Tip and an electric toothbrush, you’re still looking at a damn good price for a sex toy! And given that it runs off your electric toothbrush’s battery, there’s no more expenditure!

The Tingle Tip, as you can see in the image, looks similar to a toothbrush head, but has a cute pink disc instead of bristles. This then vibrates on the clitoris. It’s recommended, though, that you use lots of lube! I’d agree with this – even people who aren’t mega-sensitive in this area are likely to find the vibrations from the Tingle Tip are quite extreme, and you may end up somewhat sore if you don’t use lube! So basically, all you have to do is ensure your toothbrush is fully charged, swap the heads, squirt some lube on your bits, and you’re away! The vibrations are very powerful and guaranteed to get you off! Because of what it looks like, too, the Tingle Tip is great because it’s so discreet. If you left it in the bathroom or bedroom on display by mistake, most people wouldn’t look twice – and you’d have no problems getting this through customs if you went on holiday! Overall, a great invention at a great price – every woman should have one! It even comes in its own little bag – so visit one of the following websites and get yours today!

Sex Toy Review: Rock Chick

Rock ChickI was looking forward to getting my hands on a Rock Chick because they’ve had so much coverage in the press and looked a bit different.

The first thing I noticed is that it’s bigger than you’d expect (oo-er missus!) – for saying that it’s primary functions are to stimulate the clitoris and g-spot, there seemed an awful lot of girth. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not scary-looking, just thicker than I expected.

The Rock Chick is incredibly easy to use – on the first use just remove the battery cover from inside the bullet, screw the lid back on, press the button and you’re away! The button can be a tad annoying as if you don’t press it firmly enough it doesn’t switch on, not the best thing in a hurry! On the good side, though, it means it would be unlikely to be nudged whilst being transported and embarrassing you!

Despite its flexibility, I still found the toy uncomfortable during use. It’s girth was incredibly distracting and despite the fact the bullet is right next to the clitoris, the vibrations weren’t enough to tip me over the edge. In fact, it was rather a let down. Vibration queens won’t be impressed with this, and those lucky people that can squirt will find much better toys to stimulate their g-spot than the Rock Chick. Fail to see what all the fuss was about on this one…

As an aside, the bullet which powers the toy is excellent, despite the fact it takes those blasted ‘N’ batteries which don’t seem to last long, and are a pain to get hold of.

Sex Toy Review: Screaming O Cock Ring

Screaming O Cock RingAre you looking for something different to try with your partner in the bedroom? Then look no further. A cock ring is the ultimate heterosexual couples’ toy. A comfortable cock ring will slip around the base of the guy’s penis and provide him with lovely vibrations all around his cock, and then there will also be a part that stimulates the woman’s clitoris when the guy is inside her.

The Screaming O Cock Ring is no exception. This nifty toy is flexible enough to fit around any size penis, and if the guy is into it, around his balls too which will further delay his climax!

This single-speed toy has “Pleasure Bumps” for the woman, which will transfer the vibrations to the clitoris, and nodules around the jelly ring which will transfer vibrations to the penis. It’s very much designed to pleasure both parties – and for 30 minutes too! So dependent on whether you fancy a quickie or a long slow session, you can use the cock ring accordingly.

This is a great little toy to add some spice in the bedroom, but my feeling is that it could either have had more powerful vibrations, or longer “Pleasure Bumps” as I could only feel the vibrations strongly when I was in a certain position, so as soon as we moved, the sensation from the toy lessened. There’s no doubt it was pleasurable, as I could feel vibrations from the jelly ring around my labia, as well as the bullet next to my clitoris. Overall, though, I think the fella got more enjoyment out of it, as the ring helped delay his climax and therefore made it more explosive for him!

Overall, for just £4.99 the Screaming O Cock Ring is great fun and women that have no difficulty climaxing will have a whale of a time with this. For vibration queens, though, you’ll probably need something that bit stronger. Guys – you’ll love it.
