Mid Week Tease: …a crazy woman appears, seemingly from nowhere. #MWTease

mid-week-tease-buttonHi everyone,

Welcome back to Mid Week Tease! I had another new release yesterday, woohoo, so I’m switching up to that. For a few weeks at least, I’ll be sharing snippets from my co-authored novel, The Billionaire and the Wild Man. I hope you enjoy it!

The Billionaire and the Wild ManI’m busy minding my own business, clearing up litter in a field on the outskirts of Hartington when what can only be described as a crazy woman appears, seemingly from nowhere. She’s all wild-eyed, and her blonde hair looks damp. Her outfit is unremarkable, except for the fact she’s got nothing on her feet. Bright red toenails seem massively out of place in this rural village. She seems out of place. I’m not sure why I think this, but somehow, she just doesn’t appear to belong. So what the hell is she doing here?

Normally, I steer clear of other folk unless it’s absolutely necessary, but this woman looks like she needs help. Serious help. If she’s crossed the road with her feet like that, then they’re going to be scratched to buggery, maybe even cut.

Taking a deep breath, I chuck the empty crisp packet I’ve been holding into my rubbish bag. Then I place it next to the tree I’m standing beside and step out into the woman’s path. I’m used to people not seeing me—or behaving like they haven’t seen me, anyway—so I’m not surprised when she lets out a shriek that could wake the dead and freezes in front of me.

New Release: The Billionaire and the Wild Man

Hi everyone,

I’m sooo excited to announce the release of this book – The Billionaire and the Wild Man! It’s a full-length novel, which I wrote with my good buddy and fellow northern bird, Victoria Blisse. Admittedly, it’s been a long time coming, since we started writing it a couple of years ago, and life intervened on a regular basis. We’re busy ladies, you know! Anyway, being the stubborn women we are, we battled on through and finished the book, and were delighted when it was accepted by Evernight Publishing.

And to think it all started when we bunked off work and had a day out together in Buxton… *happy sigh*

So, here’s what it’s all about:

Flynn Gifford is enjoying a simple existence in a rural Derbyshire village when Caroline Rogers crashes into his life, barefoot and panicked.

Their lives could hardly be more different—she owns a successful luxury hotel chain, and he’s a penniless nomad who’s off the grid—yet neither can deny the attraction which burns between them.

As Caroline reluctantly starts to open up to him, Flynn finds himself divulging some secrets of his own, secrets he thought he’d take to his grave.

But can a billionaire and a wild man ever make a relationship work?

I will be adding all the buy links here when they become available, and there’s also an excerpt available: https://lucyfelthouse.co.uk/published-works/the-billionaire-and-the-wild-man/

New Release: Love Through a Lens #romance #contemporary #maytodecember

Hi everyone,

I’m delighted to announce the release of Love Through a Lens as a standalone novella. It was originally released (and is still available) as part of the Sweet Sensations boxed set, but if you’d prefer to grab a copy of it by itself, now’s your chance! It’s a M/F erotic romance, set in the Peak District in Derbyshire, and is an older man/younger woman story.

The cover was designed by the amazing Lola Divine Design, who is currently taking on more clients. You can check out her website here. I would definitely recommend her.

Here’s the book blurb:

Celine Patterson is a recent graduate eager to begin her career as a camerawoman—with the fashion world and all its glitz and glamour calling to her. Things aren’t that simple, however, and she’s forced to take a job making a documentary in the Peak District countryside with a mid-list British actor.

In spite of her initial disappointment—not only is the job not what she wanted, the pay is appalling, too—Celine warms to the project. The actor she’s working with, Edward Robson, is kind, considerate, funny and a consummate professional. She realizes she can learn a great deal from him, and resolves to do so.

As the days of the shoot pass by, Celine grows increasingly fond of Edward, and that fondness quickly goes beyond the platonic. Convinced her crush is completely one-sided—he’s over three decades her senior, for starters—she tries hard to ignore it, hoping the feelings will go away.

But then something happens to change Celine’s opinion, and flip her world upside-down. How will she react? And can she emerge from this project with both her career and her heart intact?

Sound like your thing? All the buy links are here.

Happy Reading,

Writing What I Love

A version of this post originally appeared at the Brit Babes blog.

Hi all,

The title of this post is “writing what I love”, as you can see. But I’m not just talking romance, or erotic romance here. Today, I’m being a lot more specific.12109808_10153675843650561_7947745297960373214_o

I have lots of hobbies and interests, and one of them is spending time out walking in the countryside with my other half and my dog, Scamp. I’m lucky to live fairly close to Derbyshire’s Peak District. I say fairly close because although I can be on its southern fringes in less than an hour, the furthest reaches are about two and a half hours away.

Anyway, we head up there pretty regularly, mainly staying in the bottom half of the area, occasionally straying further in the summer when there are more hours of daylight. Sometimes we revisit places, do walks we’ve already done. Other times we’ll go somewhere new. Either way, it never gets old. The landscape is utterly amazing – in a single walk you can see valley bottoms, dramatic gritstone edges, farmland, rolling hills, stone circles… the list goes on. And time of year and weather conditions can make even the same places you’ve seen before look different. Or you’ll notice something you never noticed last time. Or nature will go and provide something amazing for you to look at. I’m constantly fascinated, and I love it, which is why we head up there so often. It also helps that there are some great pubs, many of which allow Scamp to go in, too. He’s got his favourites – mainly the ones where the owners/staff make a fuss of him 😉

One of my life’s ambitions is to live somewhere in the Peak District, in an amazing house with beautiful views, somewhere I can watch the sunset. Naturally I’m going to need either a hugely bestselling book (hint, hint) or a lottery win, so in the meantime I content myself with daydreams, and with writing the Peak District into some of my books.

The latest book of mine to include this stunning place is Love Through a Lens, a M/F erotic romance novella, which is included in the recently-released Sweet Sensations boxed set. I don’t remember how the story idea came into my head, but once it did, it wouldn’t let go. And so I ended up doing some research for the setting and the plot, and let the characters and their love story build up around that. I had great fun with it, and was completely enthused throughout – writing about places I’d been to, places I haven’t yet visited but have seen in photos, myths and legends I’ve read about, heard about… it was a real labour of love for me. The heat level is pretty low for my work, so I was nervous to send it to my beta readers, but fortunately, they really loved the story. I hope others will too, and that my love affair with the Peak District shines through and encourages those who can to go visit it. If you do, you’ll soon get my obsession 😉

Happy Reading!

A Snog for Sommer – Pack of Lies

asnogforsummer

Pack of LiesThis Sunday Snog is a little different to usual. This one is a special event – A Snog for Sommer. Sommer Marsden, fellow writer and all-round fantastic person, is currently going through a tough time – her husband has cancer and so they’re down to one salary, plus they have all his medical bills to pay. So this snog is to help out Sommer and her family – you can do that by buying her books (which are fabulous – I’ve read several and loved them), purchasing Summer Loving, where all proceeds go to Sommer, or by heading to the Smut for Good page and making a donation. Or you could do all three!

So, without further ado, here’s my snog from Pack of Lies, my recently-released paranormal romance novel. Don’t forget to scroll down and enter my giveaway, then check out all the other blogs on the hop!

“Yep. Come here.” Nathaniel snaked out a hand and gripped the back of Isaac’s neck, pulling him in for a heat-filled, passionate kiss. Their need for each other made them clumsy. Their teeth clashed together, but neither man cared. They continued to kiss hungrily, their tongues dueling for dominance, fighting then dancing together in an erotic movement that had them both gasping for air within seconds. Moving away to drag in precious lungfuls, they gazed at each other before diving back into their kiss.

Isaac cupped Nathaniel’s stubble-covered cheeks and pulled him in harder still, until their lips were pressed so bruisingly together they’d be showing signs for a long time afterward. God, he wanted him. Needed him. At this stage being sucked off and exploding down Nathaniel’s throat would do, but what he really wanted was to be buried deep inside his arse, fucking him until they both screamed their climaxes.

Kissing the other man until his jaw ached, Isaac pulled away and ran a hand through his hair, enjoying the hungry look on Nathaniel’s face, not to mention the glimpse of his cock, which was hard again despite his recent orgasm.

“Fuck, Nath, I want you.”

Nathaniel grinned, his green eyes glinting and his dimples deepening, threatening to send Isaac into a meltdown. “How do you want me, gorgeous?”

“On your back on the bed. I want to see your face as I fuck you.”

Sunday Snog – Pack of Lies

Sunday Snog

Pack of LiesIt’s time for another Sunday Snog, yay! This week, I’m sharing another sexy snog from Pack of Lies. Matthew Adams is still getting some action. Enjoy 😉

Her gaze was still raking his body, drinking him in, and it seemed to take her a considerable amount of effort to shift her eyes to meet his. “Um, yes,” she finally said, pushing a hand through her hair. “Yes. More than all right.” A wash of color had spread across her cheeks, and Matthew bit back a grin.

“Good. Because that was your last chance to back out.” Cupping her cheek, he leaned in and pressed his lips against hers. Sally’s mouth opened almost immediately and Matthew’s tongue quickly slipped inside. Finding hers, he deepened the kiss, enjoying the way she responded to him. She was eager, skilled and sexy, and he figured her nakedness was way overdue.

Breaking the kiss, he grinned as she gave a mewl of protest. “Remember what I said?”

Frowning, she shook her head.

“Oh I think you do, sweetheart. But in the interests of moving things along, I’ll remind you. I said that once I was naked it was your turn.”
