New French and Danish Translations Coming Soon! #translations #french #francais #danish #dansk #romancebooks

Hi everyone,

I hope you have a fabulous weekend planned. I’m hoping to get up to the Peak District to see some of the heather in bloom on the moors.

I have exciting news – albeit for French and Danish readers. September is due to bring not one, but two translations! On 7th September, the fabulous folks at Juno Publishing are releasing Stately Pleasures in French – titled Le Manoir des plaisirs.

Here’s the blurb:

You can pre-order it here: https://books2read.com/lemanoirdesplaisirs

And on 30th September, the wonderful people of Baadsgaards Books bring my novella, Off the Shelf, to the Danish market, titled Pebermø.

Here’s the blurb:

No pre-order information yet, but when I have it I will post an update. In the meantime, Danish readers can check out my two previous Danish titles here.

As always, if you lovelies know of any French or Danish readers who might like to check out these books, please let them know. It’s super tricky for me to reach them, so any help is massively appreciated.

Happy Reading!

Off the Shelf Gets an Update! #erorom #erotica #romance

Hi lovelies,

Some of you who’ve been following me for a while will probably recognise this title – it was actually the first ever novella I wrote, many years ago now! I have partial rights back to it (it’s a long and boring story – about the rights, that is, not the book!), so it’s now been re-edited, re-covered and is available on Amazon in the UK, Australia and Europe.

Here’s what it’s all about:

She finds her perfect man in the most unexpected place.

At thirty-five years old, travel writer Annalise is fed up with insensitive comments about being left on the shelf. She wants a relationship, but her busy career doesn’t leave her much time to meet men. Sexy liaisons with passing acquaintances give Annalise physical satisfaction, but she needs more than that – ideally a man who will satisfy her mind as well as her body. But where will she find someone like that? Things seem set to change when she meets Damien. He ticks all the boxes; he’s gorgeous, funny, and intelligent, and he shares Annalise’s love of books and travel. The trouble is, Damien’s shy and Annalise is terrified of rejection. Can they overcome their fears and admit their feelings, or is Annalise doomed to remain on the shelf?

Off the Shelf and A French Affair Now Available in Print!

If you still like to hold a print copy in your mitts, instead of an eReader, then a) you’re not alone, and b) I’ve got good news for you. Xcite Books are putting a bunch of their titles out in print on demand, and two of mine have been selected. My erotic romance novellas Off the Shelf and A French Affair are now available in print and eBook format.

Here’s a reminder of what they’re all about, in case you’ve forgotten.

Off the Shelf

At 35, travel writer Annalise is fed up with insensitive comments about being left on the shelf. It’s not as if she doesn’t want a man, but her busy career doesn’t leave her much time for relationships. Sexy liaisons with passing acquaintances give Annalise physical satisfaction, but she needs more than that. She wants a man who will satisfy her mind as well as her body. But where will she find someone like that? It seems Annalise may be in luck when a new member of staff starts working in the bookshop at the airport she regularly travels through. Damien appears to tick all the boxes; he’s gorgeous, funny and intelligent, and he shares Annalise’s love of books and travel. The trouble is, Damien’s shy and Annalise is terrified of rejection. Can they overcome their fears and admit their feelings, or are they doomed to remain on the shelf?

This title was a nominee for The Romance Reviews Best Book of 2012, and has had some truly awesome reviews.

A French Affair

Sydney Tyler is renting a barn conversion in Northern France, planning to spend the fortnight getting some words down on her novel. Unfortunately, construction work in the other half of the building puts an end to her peace and quiet. Genuinely upset that the builders are going to disturb her, the property’s handsome English owner, Harry Bay, offers to make it up to her. He’s a little flirtatious, and after spotting his wedding ring, Sydney keeps him at arm’s length. Sexy as he is, she has no intention of getting involved with a married man. But when Sydney learns the truth about Harry, will their mutual attraction spur them on to work through their emotional baggage and make this more than just a French affair?

This is a fairly new book, so it’s only had one review so far – but it’s a good one!

“…a sweet romance between two people wanting a new start after being hurt, but with lots of lovemaking, not just sex. A good book for a rainy afternoon or for lying on the beach, (not to mention, if you might be on your way to Paris in the springtime!).” 4.5 out of 5, Manic Readers

You’ll probably have to wait a tad longer than normal to get these books in paperback as they have to be printed and whatnot, but I’m sure it’ll be worth the wait to add them to your romance collection 🙂

The Latest News!

So, things have been rather crazy around here just lately, in terms of me being incredibly busy, and also this blog being incredibly busy with all the awesome posts and guest bloggers I’ve had on. So, I’m taking advantage of this free day on the site to blog about what I’ve been up to!

I’ve been doing lots (and lots!) of work in the day job, creating new websites, doing PR for my clients, and so on. Writer Marketing Services has never been busier, which is fabulous. As a result, I’ve been really pushed for time writing-wise, which has made me all the more determined to write harder, and faster, not to mention better. I’m not panicking just yet, though, because I’ve had a few new releases come out since I last did an update blog, and I have more coming.

So, here’s the lowdown on my latest and upcoming books:

Smut for Chocoholics

This little baby hit the digital shelves in the past couple of weeks, and contains my story, Not Just Desserts.

Sensual, sinful chocolately indulgence  is the theme of this erotic anthology, edited by Kevin Mitnik, with assistance from Victoria Blisse.

Smut for Chocoholics is all about indulgence, taking wicked delight in the erotic consumption and use of chocolate, with tales from some of erotica’s finest authors.. Whatever your relationship with the seductive cocoa, there’s something nestling between the covers for you.

Contains tales from Victoria Blisse, Giselle Renarde, Lexie Bay, Annabeth Leong, Lily Harlem, Violet Fields, Nicole Gestalt, Tamsin Flowers, Tenille Brown, Vanessa de Sade, Wendi Zwaduk and Lucy Felthouse.

The Master

This story is my first from several that have been commissioned from Nexus – another four will hit the digital shelves over coming months. It is called The Unexpected Submissive, and the anthology will be available from April 1st – though you can pre-order now.

The Master is a collection of short stories selected and edited by Peter Birch, all on the theme on the dominant male. This is erotica, proud and uninhibited, with eight stories from seven different authors chosen for their knowledge and experience as well as for their ability to write. From the subtle touch of Lucy Felthouse to Penny Birch’s unabashed delight in submission, all are designed to thrill, exploring both fantasy and reality to the very edge of what is permissible.

You can check out an excerpt and the buy links here: https://lucyfelthouse.co.uk/published-works/the-master/

Smut by the Sea Volume 2

Fellow Northern Bird Victoria Blisse and myself are currently finishing up the edits for this anthology, and hope to have it off to the publisher very, very soon, likely to be released in early April. As well as editing this book, it contains my story, On the Big Wheel.

Light hearted, sexy fun by the sea is the theme of this erotic anthology, edited by Victoria Blisse and Lucy Felthouse.

From the sun soaked beaches of Brazil to the altogether cooler coastal towns of England, Smut by the Sea Volume 2 has it all. Whatever your interpretation of naughty seaside fun, there’s something nestling between the covers for you. Amusement arcades, beach houses, mermaids, honeymooners, shipwrecks, sex toys and more abound in this exciting collection of stories from erotica’s finest authors.

Contains stories from Victoria Blisse, Tilly Hunter, Rachel Randall, Giselle Renarde, Tamsin Flowers, Lucy Felthouse, Kate Britton, Jillian Boyd, Bel Anderson, Cass Peterson, Delyth Angharad, T C Mill, Erzabet Bishop, Tenille Brown and Annabeth Leong.

You can check out an excerpt here, and the buy links will be added as soon as they’re available: https://lucyfelthouse.co.uk/published-works/smut-by-the-sea-volume-2/

The Mammoth Book of Quick and Dirty Erotica

My story, On the Night Bus, appears in this awesome anthology, edited by Maxim Jakubowski. This is my first Mammoth print release, and I was very happy to be included.

Over 130 pieces of very short erotic fiction in categories from first times to bondage.

Over 130 short, short erotic stories of about 1,500 words each, or over 500 pages of outstanding erotica in bite-sized pieces, exploring the full range of human sensual and sexual experience.

Each one of eight sections is devoted to a specific erotic kink, such as spanking, submission, voyeurism, uniforms or bondage, providing an astonishing diversity of erotica between the covers of one book.

Despite its length, this short-form erotica from the world’s leading writers remains inventive, provocative, sensual, and above all intelligent. These are sexual adventures to intrigue, shock, puzzle, and both scare and arouse. Mere titillation is never enough.

You can check out an excerpt here, and pre-order the paperback. Other links will be added as soon as they become available: https://lucyfelthouse.co.uk/published-works/the-mammoth-book-of-quick-dirty-erotica/

So, as well as these exciting developments, I have signed a contract for a co-author novel with a fellow writer, and I’ll dish the dirt as soon as I’m able. Naturally, I’m very excited about it, as I think it’s going to be the start of a whole series of books, which is excellent. I’m still waiting for news on my novel, which is currently with a publisher. However, just last week I had a short story acceptance, subject to publisher approval, so I’m not naming names until I’ve signed a contract, and also had a novella accepted by another publisher. I haven’t received the contract for that yet, either, so I’ll say as soon as I can. There’s plenty coming up, it has to be said, so I’m ecstatic about that.

I’m also very happy about my nomination for The Romance Reviews Best Book of 2012. I posted about this the other day, but in case you didn’t see it, Off the Shelf was nominated in the Best Erotic Romance – Contemporary Romance category. If you’re so inclined, I would absolutely love your votes, as my competition is incredibly stiff, and I’d love to see my first novella – a book I adored writing – win an award! Voting is here.

Hump Day Hook No. 7 #HDH

humpdayhookHi everyone and welcome to Hump Day Hook, which is basically where authors post a paragraph from a WIP or a published work to show it off to the world. This week, I’m sharing a snippet from Off the Shelf, as it’s been nominated at The Romance Reviews’ Best Book of 2012 in the Best Erotic Romance – Contemporary Romance category! I’d love your votes, if you’re so inclined. The voting page is here.

Annalise hated leaving her favourite toy behind when she went away, but she just wasn’t brave enough to take it with her. She usually only took carry-on luggage, and the very thought of the distinctive shape of the Rampant Rabbit popping up on the screen of the airport scanners made her shudder. It would be bad enough for the staff to see it on their monitors, knowing what it was and giving her knowing looks; imagine what would happen if they decided to check inside her bags! She would want to curl up and die of embarrassment, she just knew it.

Want more? Of course you do! Here’s the page for Off the Shelf. And click here to go and visit the rest of the Hump Day Hook gang. Leave us comments about our pieces – we love it! 🙂

Happy Reading x

Sunday Snog – Off the Shelf

Sunday Snog

Off the ShelfThis is a repeat (from a while ago, I might add!), but because Off the Shelf, which is an erotic romance novella, has been nominated in the “Best Erotic Romance – Contemporary Romance” category in The Romance Reviews’ Best Book of 2012, I thought I would post again in its honour. And if you want to vote for me (which would be massively appreciated, my competition is incredibly tough!), you’ll need to be logged into your Romance Reviews account and go here.

He said just one word before leaning down and capturing her mouth in a kiss.

‘Condoms?’

The plural hadn’t been lost on her, and the frisson of heat between her legs sparked into a full flame. Fuuuuuuuuck.

‘Mmm-hmm …’ she replied, twining her arms around his neck and kissing him back. He was a damn good kisser. He had just the right mixture of confidence and skill, which made the butterflies in her tummy transform into crazy zings of lust and zoom wildly throughout her body.

The delicious feelings increased tenfold when Damien opened his lips and she felt his tongue try for access to her mouth. She gladly admitted it, and the hot caress of his tongue against hers caused a trickle of juices to slide from her pussy and soak into the gusset of her pants.

She was suddenly very glad she’d gone with her earlier instinct and worn not only matching, but very sexy lingerie. Not that she was going to be wearing it for much longer …

Annalise shuffled forwards, gently pushing him. Damien took the hint and they moved as one towards her bed, falling onto it with her on top. Just as she leaned down to kiss him again, he stopped her. Removing his glasses, he gave a wicked smile and asked her to put them down on her bedside table.

‘Don’t want them getting in the way, do we?’

Climbing off him, Annalise carefully deposited his glasses on the bedside table. Then, agreeing with Damien’s logic about things getting in the way, she quickly removed her earrings, necklace and bracelet. Finally, she opened her top drawer and retrieved a condom. Turning to face him once more, she saw that he’d moved so he was now positioned with his head on the pillows, and his hands behind his head, waiting. He raised his eyebrows.

‘Oh, I’m sorry,’ Annalise said, her voice dripping with sarcasm, ‘was I taking too long?’

‘Yes,’ Damien replied without hesitation. ‘Now come here.’

Annalise clambered across the bed and straddled Damien. She felt the bulge in his trousers pressing against her arse and wriggled against it. Dropping the condom on his chest, she said, ‘I think you’re going to be needing that.’

‘You think?’

‘Shut up and give me a kiss.’

‘With pleasure, ma’am.’
