Next up is my second m/m piece (don’t worry, there’s more in the pipeline), Garden of Eden, a BDSM erotic romance. It appears in the HIS: Manlove Edition anthology from Evernight Publishing, coming 15th August:

Strength. Power. Experience. There’s nothing like a man who knows how to get what he wants, both in and out of the bedroom. And these dominant alphas want nothing more than to please and possess the men they love. No kink is too risqué as these men ensure their lovers never want to be anywhere but under their command.

Come and find out how good it feels to be HIS.

Watch this space for buy links, etc, when the book’s released.

On the 23rd August comes my first novel. Sort of. I co-authored it with Lily Harlem, so it’s half mine. Grand Slam is book one in the Raw Talent series – a series of sports romance novels. This book is a BDSM erotic romance, with a hero to die for. We’ll also be doing a blog tour with this book, so keep an eye out for that:

California had seduced me with promises of a new life working at Los Carlos Tennis Academy. What I didn’t expect was the dark, brooding number one seed, Travis Connolly, resisting my help. He wasn’t interested in my psychology skills. Instead his attention was drawn to the edgy, sharper corners of my desires, proving that they existed, setting me challenges and driving me crazy to the point of combustion.

I’m the best tennis player in the world—officially—so why would I need a damn woman full of psychobabble to get me on form? Despite my irritation, however, I can’t resist pushing Marie Sherratt’s buttons even though doing that shows her the darkest shades of my lust, the parts of me I buried deep. So I set her a challenge, one she rises to, one that has me rising too, and before long my game relies on her calling the shots, hitting the target and bending to my will. One thing was certain, being not just master of the court, but also of Marie is seriously good for my soul.

On the 20th September, my Rubenesque erotic romance novella, Mean Girls, is released. I love this story – it was so much fun to write. And the hero’s a total hunk, too.

Adele Blackthorne is a big girl, a curvy chick. She knows it, and she’s been picked on all her life because of it. But she’s gotten to the stage where she doesn’t care. She may be Rubenesque, but she’s healthy, too. Much healthier than the mean girls at the leisure center that point and stare and say spiteful things about her. Adele rises above it all, and simply enjoys her secretive glances at the center’s hunky lifeguard, Oliver.

As the bullying of Adele becomes worse, Oliver finds it increasingly difficult not to intervene. He doesn’t want to get into trouble with work, but equally he can’t stand to see Adele treated in such a horrible way. Especially since he doesn’t agree that she’s fat and unattractive. He thinks she’s a seriously sexy woman, and would like to get to know her better. Much better.

You can pre-order this from Amazon already! https://lucyfelthouse.co.uk/published-works/mean-girls/

As for updates, well, I sold my first novel, Stately Pleasures to Xcite Books. I’ve signed the contract and hopefully it’ll be released towards the end of the year. I’ve also had my short story, Clipped, accepted for publication in Best Bondage Erotica 2014!

Also, Smut Alfresco had an awesome review from Erotica Revealed, where my story was chosen as the favourite. Whoop!

I’m sure there’s more, but I’ve forgotten in the excitement. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, because the very fact I’m excited is excellent 😀

August Alfresco Is Here!

alfrescobannerYay,  it’s my turn for August Alfresco! If you haven’t already joined in on the action, this is basically an opportunity for you to read a bunch of sexy outdoors excerpts from the participating authors’ books. I’m sharing a snippet from my story, Being Free, which appears in Smut Alfresco. Be warned… it’s hot! Once you’ve read it, scroll down to find out more about the giveaways. Good luck!

She exclaimed again as she realised her hand was down her knickers. At some point during her kinky fantasy, she’d forced her fingers under the waistband of her trousers and then her thong, and was now cupping her mound, stroking the short wiry hairs adorning it. Shocked at her subconscious behaviour, she simply stared down at where her wrist disappeared into the black material. Apparently with a life of their own, her fingers delved deeper, pressing into the damp crack of her vulva. A moan escaped her lips as her clit was stimulated.

Moving to touch it properly, Violet was surprised at just how large her bud had grown, particularly as it hadn’t been pleasured yet. All of a sudden, the thought overtook her that she would do just that—pleasure herself. She glanced up and out from under the trees. There weren’t even any civilian citizens around, never mind any belonging to the law. In order to get caught, there would have to be someone to catch her. And there was nobody. Not a single soul, and even if there was, they’d have to be really close to see what she was doing—otherwise the sheeting rain would impair their view of her and what she was doing with her hand in her pants.

She decided to take the risk, minimal as it was. She’d keep an eye out, and if she saw anyone coming, she’d stop what she was doing. It was as simple as that. Relaxing against the tree trunk, she shuffled her feet further apart to give her better access to her pussy. The rough bark of the tree trunk dug into her back, but she didn’t care. Curling her fingers into her channel, she marvelled at how wet and warm it was. And tight, but then that was hardly surprising—it hadn’t been breached by finger, nor sex toy, nor cock for God knows how long. In fact, she wouldn’t have been shocked to find it had healed up altogether!

Pushing deeper, she coated her digits liberally in her juices, before pulling out and smearing them over her eager clitoris. A thrill ran through her at the touch, and her cunt clenched. Closing her eyes in bliss, they then flew open again as she remembered she had to keep them open, so she could see if anyone was coming. Duh.

As it had been so long, she started off slow. Gently circling her clit, she became reacquainted with the long-neglected area, reminding herself how she liked to be touched. Where, how hard, and how fast. She had the hang of it within seconds, but deliberately didn’t push on with the technique, because she wanted to savour the moment. To tease herself to a slow and well-deserved climax.

Phew! *fans self* I hope you enjoyed that smutty outdoor session. Now, without further ado, here are the prize details:

I’m delighted to announce Jacqueline Brocker, who’s here to tell us more about her fab story in Smut Alfresco, which is based in the beautiful city of Cambridge.

Days of Idyll: Writing ‘Meadow’ for Smut Alfresco

‘Write what you know’ is an oft-quoted phrase given to writers. I’ve not always found this particularly helpful, especially when writing, for instance, m/m fiction, or about detectives, or something set in space. There is, though, some wisdom in the statement, and I find it especially relevant when it comes to writing about place.

grantchester_meadowSo while my short story ‘Meadow’ in Smut Alfresco isn’t exactly autobiographical, I am very familiar with the place it is set on: Grantchester Meadows in Cambridge.

Grantchester Meadows are located immediately south on the river Cam, just before you reach the village of Grantchester. They have been owned by King’s College, Cambridge since 1452, but are easily accessible to all, and are as much part of Cambridge as the University itself. (In fact, I didn’t know until doing a Google search for images of the meadows, that Pink Floyd, who formed in Cambridge, wrote a song about them.)

It seemed the perfect location for a sexy interlude (ok, yes, I have taken walk along the meadows with an ex-boyfriend, so I can’t pretend the story has no bearing on my reality 😉 ). Not just for the idyllic, soothing setting – with the quiet river running past, punts and canoes making their gentle progress towards the village of Grantchester for a pint, lunch, or for afternoon tea at the Orchard (an apple orchard where writers such as Virginia Woolf and Rupert Brooke used to spend time), trees drooping into the water, and cows grazing (walkers do have to be mindful of cow pats along the paths!) – but also because, at the height of summer, it is full of people. Families, couples, friends, and visitors come with picnics, or to swim in the river itself, or just to stroll or take a bike along the bank. With that many people around, it increases the chance of being caught, or spotted, or attracting an unwanted (or indeed, wanted!) onlooker.

How could I not write that story?

The delightful thing about writing ‘Meadow’ was being able to draw on my own experience and knowledge of Cambridge. The types of people who might be on the river – students, people who are born and bred in the city – the kind of activities that happen along the river, even the likely occurrences. One brief scene is dedicated to a swan harassing someone in a canoe. Up until recently, the Cam was stalked by a misbehaving swan nick-named ‘Mr Asbo’ (that’s ‘Anti-Social Behaviour Order’ to those outside of the UK).

More than that, I wanted to convey the gentleness of the place, the warm, hazy idyll that it is to sit on the meadows, and the slow burning sexiness of being there with someone you fancy the hell out of. I hope I’ve succeeded in conveying that.

I’m delighted to introduce Nicole Gestalt, who contributed an excellent Africa-themed story to Smut Alfresco, and she’s dishing the dirt here:

When it came to submitting to Smut Alfresco, I already had the perfect story written, it just needed a few tweaks here and there and all was good. I love animals, so much that recently I retrained to work with animals, although that has been put on hold whilst I focus on my writing. As part of my retraining I worked in a zoo and animals were very much at the forefront of my mind, I started working on a story that became When The Rains Come.

Of course the difference between the zoo I worked in and the animal reserve in the story apart from the types of animals (I worked with birds, in the story they work with various big cats) is that it isn’t raining! For a week we had rain every day which isn’t an issue, until you find yourself washing out areas in the middle of a thunder and lightning storm so despite the mantra ‘write what you know’ I decided to write about a centre where it wasn’t raining every five seconds and picked the savannah of Africa as my destination.

Once I had the place and the animals, then the people popped into my head and before long I had a fully formed story and one I am very happy to have in Smut Alfresco.

In this little excerpt Kim and Matt are discussing the dire situation they currently find themselves in.

“All done for the moment. The cheetah was a bit reluctant to take her medicine but a little coaxing and some fresh meat persuaded her to do so in the end.” Matt’s voice cut through the silence of the room. Sitting up with a start Kim blinked, phone still in her hand. Matt’s laughter reached her.

“You fell asleep didn’t you?”

Her thoughts were muggy as she tried to think. Dream and reality mixed as she straightened her hat. Her whole body felt like a bolt of electricity had been shot through it. Her trembling increased as more of the dream she had been having become clear.

“I closed my eyes for a moment. Still no reply from Davies. I haven’t been asleep for long I don’t think.” She kept her back to him as images of her dream hit her one after another.

“Dream anything interesting?”

Inwardly she groaned; he knew her too well.

“Oh, just of water, swimming pools, vast lakes and cool, crystal clear seas.”

And both of us naked writhing with one another. She stopped herself before she spoke those words. She didn’t want to tell him the full nature of it. Not that she was ashamed, but she didn’t want to upset the working relationship they had.

Nicole Gestalt has been writing erotica for many years. When Nicole is not writing she loves spending her time with her partner, walking and drinking lots of mocha’s, particularly if they have whipped cream on top. Nicole loves hearing from her readers and can be found at http://www.nicolegestalt.blogspot.com

Guest Blogger: Violet Fields

I’m delighted to welcome Violet Fields today, who is dishing the dirt on her story, A Grand Day Out, which appears in Smut Alfresco. Take it away, Violet!

It was whilst attending one of the chapter meetings of the Romantic Novelists’ association that I met the lovely Lucy Felthouse and she encouraged me to try my hand at producing some targeted erotic fiction. That was probably back in August or September last year.

So I took several months studying the market, reading lots of erotica and erotic romance with little time for much else; I was very determined to give it my very best shot. The ‘Smut Alfresco’ anthology particularly appealed to me as I am very much an outdoors person so it wasn’t difficult to think of a myriad of possible locations and plots.

I had been a keen hiker in the past but a ruptured achilles tendon three years ago put paid to most of the more strenuous walks. However I live near the Peak District and know and love the area especially Hathersage which is steeped in literary history and symbolism so deeply appealed to me as a setting for my story.

I also must admit to a bit of a weakness for men getting wet. Hence, without giving away any spoilers, the inclusion of one particular scene in the story.  Amongst my favourite images ever is a movie still I once saw of Viggo Mortensen playing ‘Aragorn’ in ‘Lord of the Rings’ sitting fully clothed in a stream! I’m not hundred per cent sure why, I just really liked the image.

The walk that takes place in the story is one I’ve completed myself a few times in the past but without the sex I hasten to add! If you’re ever in that neck of the woods it really is a beautiful part of the country and more than worth a visit.

I really enjoyed writing the story but I’ve had some interesting reactions from people since the anthology came out. A whole new meaning to ‘shock and awe’ in many quarters. Don’t think anyone has needed a defibrillator yet but we’ve come perilously close.

I’m hoping this may settle down as people get used to Violet and her oeuvre. Is this often the case the first time you’re ‘outed’ in this art form? I’d be interested in hearing of other writer’s experiences.

Bio:

Violet Fields lives in Yorkshire with her lovely family and her little shadow, one year old Shih Tzu Betsy.

She loves walking in the local countryside with Betsy; with friends in the nearby Peak District; watching all kinds of cinema; attending weekly pottery and art groups and visiting the local pub with her mates; though not necessarily in that order!

Recently Violet has been published by the House of Erotica in the anthology ‘Smut Alfresco’ with her story ‘A Grand Day Out,’ set amid the dramatic grit stone escarpments of Derbyshire’s Peak District being her first foray into erotic fiction and she hopes very much that you’ll like it.  Her new story: ‘The Runaway Bride’s Surprise’, featuring a chocoholic runaway bride and a dentist, appears in the anthology ‘Smut for Chocoholics.’

Violet first realised she had a real passion for writing aged seven, when she totally confounded an infant teacher who told her to write a story about a grain of sand as a punishment, by really enjoying it!

Always one to push the boundaries a little, by her teens she was writing comedy plays with a few gentle innuendoes in them; one of which was produced as part of a district festival.

However, too soon work and family responsibilities took over and writing ambitions were temporarily forgotten.

When her children were small though, Violet obtained a BA (Hons) in Film Studies with Professional Writing from Sheffield Hallam University and a Postgraduate Certificate in Technical Communication from the same establishment.

Recently she joined the Romantic Novelists’ Association and is currently writing a historical novel for their new writer’s critique scheme under a different pen name;  but have no fear Violet has plenty of ideas for new erotic romance storylines in her too yet !!

Here’s Jenny Lyn, telling us about her story, Shine, from Smut Alfresco. Warning: it contains a hunky sheriff. *fans self*

The venue I finally chose for my sexy outdoors shenanigans in SHINE was not the first location I considered. My first idea was on the deck of a boat, and the second, a rooftop. For the rooftop idea, I’d even gone so far as to research Bosun’s chairs. If you don’t know what that is, they’re used to do work on the side of a building or on a boat’s riggings, neither of which are for me, thank you very much. I played around with both story settings, but never really got a strong feel for the characters. No connection to them at all. Then one night I watched an episode of Moonshiners and inspiration struck.

I absolutely adore being born and raised in the south. From the deep-seated traditions passed down through generations, to the sweltering temperatures and hummingbird-sized mosquitos. I’ve wanted to write an erotic piece that featured the south for some time. Now, making one of my characters a moonshine runner might not sound too flattering, but anyone who’s actually from the south will tell you that’s not a slight. Yes, it’s illegal to run moonshine, but for a lot of southern families it’s also part of their heritage. My grandfather happened to brew “white lightning” for his own personal consumption back in the day.

I also wanted to explore the dichotomy of being drawn to someone on the opposite side of the law from which you stood. Of being faced with a choice on what you would do when cornered, or if you were pressed to make a decision on whether to close your eyes or draw a line in the sand. It’s not always black and white. When emotions get involved, things tend to turn gray.

As far the location for the sexy times, who doesn’t want to cool off on a sweltering summer day? A dip in a natural spring will certainly do the trick. Water so cold it steals your breath, then warm sunshine to dry you off afterward. After spending every summer of my teens at a local spring a bike ride away from my house, I can attest to how refreshing and fun it can be.

A secluded oasis, a hot girl in a bikini, and a hunky sheriff who’s not afraid to use his handcuffs… Have I made you thirsty for more? I hope so.

Cheers,

Jenny Lyn
