So Hot You’ll Burn Your Fingers

The Big Book of BondageThat’s definitely a phrase I’d use to describe The Big Book of Bondage, just released by Alison Tyler. I had been aiming to get a story published in one of Alison’s anthologies, and was absolutely delighted when she accepted not one, but three of my stories. One of them is in The Big Book of Bondage, and the others are coming later this year. But anyway, that’s not the point of this post, I just wanted to have a tiny squee there šŸ˜‰

Alison had the fab idea of doing a blog tour whereby people would review a single story from the collection on their or Alison’s blog. I nabbed Alison’s story, and here are my thoughts on Burned:

Um… wow. I could leave it there, leave you guessing, but I won’t. This is a kinky tale about a recently married woman, Lola, whose ex-lover comes back into her life. Her ex-lover happens to be a woman. A woman who tied her up, spanked her, belted her, made her come like she’d never come before. Jenny is also a very unpleasant person. A thief, a liar, a dragon, a bitch and a heartbreaker. So Lola is worried when she turns up, worried she’s going to ruin things between her and her husband, Rick. Rick, on the other hand, is fascinated by Jenny, about how hers and Lola’s relationship used to be. Despite Lola’s attempts to keep Jenny at arm’s length, she manages to get what she wants from the married couple, threatening to burn their relationship to the ground.

This was one seriously hot story. I don’t want to say any more and spoil it, but this is a fantastic example of a bondage story, one that has emotional sensation as well as physical. It’s kinky, sexy, and most importantly, it keeps you guessing. I didn’t see the ending coming, but I suspect that is exactly what Tyler wanted. Another top read from a top name in erotica.Ā

New Release: The Big Book of Bondage

The Big Book of BondageI’m delighted to announce the release of my first story purchased by Alison Tyler. Balancing the Books is a quirky and unusual bondage story that I’m very proud of, and it appears in The Big Book of Bondage.

Here’s more information on the anthology:

Surrender to your fantasies. Every submissive willingly does: bound and helpless, expecting the ecstasy of her masterā€™s lash. Never mind the leatherā€”clothed or naked, she is stripped down to only the most basic physical and emotional need, completely exposed. But itā€™s this swirl of sensations and feelings that combine in a perfect storm of kink and makes the seemingly impossible not only occur, but happen in a way that creates a sexy good time for everyone involved. The sensual stories that Alison Tyler has assembled in this collection delve into the dynamics of relationships filled with such unrestrained passion, revealing a world of beautiful contradictions that will thrill and inspire you. Some of these tales show how the everyday can be instantly transformed into pulse-quickening moments laced with eroticism.

Nobody likes bondage more than Alison Tyler who is endlessly fascinated with the sensation of giving up, giving in, of putting oneā€™s pleasure (and pain) into the hands of another. To her, bondage means ā€œI trust you to keep me safe,ā€ and yet BDSM can also mean, ā€œI trust you to hurt me.ā€ Because the most important part of bondage, of dominance, of all the slippery ways one can play with those concepts is trust. In the BDSM realm, trust involves crops, whips, blindfolds, handcuffs, paddles, belts, gags, and toys. How deliciously, devilishly twisted is that?

And here’s an excerpt from my story:

A bead of sweat ran down the side of Philipā€™s head and trickled into his hairline. Heā€™d been lying flat on his back on the cold parquet floor for what felt like hours. Realistically, it probably hadnā€™t even been one hour, but because heā€™d been trying so hard not to move a muscle for fear of toppling the stack of hardback books resting on his abdomen, every single minute was torture.

And yet, at the same time, it was complete and utter bliss. Giovanna was sitting on a wooden chair, the legs of which were either side of his hips ā€“ as were hers ā€“ and she was using the pile of books as a table. She idly flipped the pages of the weighty tome she was pretending to read, and studiously ignored Philip, as though he really were nothing but a table.

Philipā€™s cock had never been so hard. He was torn. Part of him wanted the books to fall so Giovannaā€™s beautiful eyes would flash with anger and she would punish him the very best way she knew how. The other part wanted to please her, in the hope that she might let him bury his face between her thighs and lick her delicious pussy to orgasm, and maybe, just maybe, be allowed to come himself.
Another droplet of sweat followed the first one into his rapidly dampening hair. Philipā€™s erection strained beneath his clothes, and he decided to try and distract himself by thinking of something else.Ā Trees. Taxes. Tridents.

It didnā€™t work. Instead, his mind wandered to how heā€™d gotten into this predicament in the first place.

Giovanna was Philipā€™s boss ā€“ in the usual employment sense, as well as the mistress and slave sense. Just a few short weeks back, heā€™d been wandering the high street of the town he lived in, and had come across an amazing-looking bookshop. Heā€™d peered through the window, fascinated. The slightly gloomy interior was all dark wood and spiral staircases, and was a book loverā€™s wet dream. And Philip was a book lover. Turning, he made for the door. As he reached it, he noticed a sign stuck to the pane of glass in its centre.

EXPERIENCED BOOK-KEEPER WANTED.
COMPETITIVE RATES.
APPLY WITHIN.

Philip didnā€™t need a job. He was, in fact, a highly qualified accountant, and some of the past investments heā€™d made had come good and meant that he could live very comfortably off the profits. In fact, it wasnā€™t worth his time to work as the tax man would pinch even more of his pennies.

Philip didnā€™t need any books, either. His custom-built home library was fully stocked with an abundance of fiction and non-fiction, and he really needed to read and get rid of some of them before he started purchasing more.

He peered through the door, catching sight of a voluptuous bespectacled woman standing behind the till, writing in a notebook. She sure was easy on the eye, with her long dark hair pulled up into a high ponytail, and the hint of ample cleavage peeking out of the top of her blouse. She must have caught sight of him out of the corner of her eye because her head snapped up from what she was doing and she looked straight at him. Peering over the top of her glasses, she continued to gaze at him, unsmilingly. Many people would have found her demeanour cold; unapproachable.

Philip pushed open the door and walked in. Before he knew what he was doing heā€™d walked straight up the counter and the aloof woman behind it, and said,

ā€œIā€™m interested in the job.ā€

She put down her pen and raised an eyebrow.

ā€œAnd what are your qualifications?ā€

He was, in fact, vastly overqualified for the job she was offering. He could do the paperwork for the bookshop standing on his head. With one hand tied behind his back. However, the cool, unimpressed stare the woman gave him made him want to impress her ā€“ and so he gave her the full whammy of his qualifications and experience.

The womanā€™s face had remained impassive.

ā€œIt sounds as though youā€™re used to much bigger accounts than youā€™d be dealing with here. Why on earth are you interested in this job?ā€

Because I want to fuck you.

2012 Round Up!

I’ve been looking forward to writing this post for a while. Mainly because, without sounding big-headed, I’m proud of what I’ve achieved this year. I had some goals, some smaller than others, and I’ve achieved them all. Here are some of them:

  • Have a story accepted by Alison Tyler (check – she accepted three! The Big Book of Bondage is released next month, and Sudden Sex in May 2013)
  • Have a story accepted by Maxim Jakubowski (check – Quick & Dirty Erotica is due April 2013)
  • Have a story accepted by Violet Blue (check – I’m in Best Women’s Erotica 2013 – very excited!)
  • Be published by Ellora’s Cave (check – A Taste of London out now, A Taste of Paris currently with my editor)
  • Have more publications than last year (check – 25 last year, 30 this year)

Another thing that I’ve achieved that I knew I’d do eventually, but hadn’t specifically earmarked for 2012 was to write a novel. I currently have a first draft of myĀ mĆ©nageĀ erotic romance book sitting on my computer, waiting for me to come back and polish it to within an inch of its life.

I also had my first non-fiction piece published, which was an essay in the Fifty Writers on Fifty Shades of Grey collection.

My total publication count was 30, which includes print and eBooks, but if I sell the same story more than once, I only count it as one. So I’m pretty damn proud of that!

Here’s a photo of the paperbacks I’ve been in this year – though I’m missing two. Best Women’s Erotica 2013 hasn’t arrived yet, and the same goes for the Seven Deadly Sins anthology. So imagine two extra books on that pile.

Happy New Year, everyone! And here’s to an even better one in 2013 šŸ™‚

books2012

A quick amendment to this – my copies of Best Women’s Erotica 2013 arrived after I scheduled this post. Also, I totted up my word count this year, and am absolutely astounded to report that I have written 225,672 words! Not all of them are published, of course, but many of them are, some are on submission, and 75,355 of those belong to my novel, which will probably be longer than that by the time I send it to a publisher. Happy New Year!!
