The Great Outdoors Vol 2

Excerpt from A Date to Remember, from The Great Outdoors Vol 2.

Just when things couldn’t get any worse – they did. Zoe felt wet splashes on her face. Looking up, she grimaced at the sky, which was dark with ominous-looking clouds. Typically, they were nowhere near decent shelter, having wandered into a park.

Nick, dull as dishwater but still a gentleman, ushered Zoe into the slight shelter of some trees. Removing his coat, he hoisted it over their heads and tucked Zoe under his arm, keeping her warm as well as dry.

And not a moment too soon. The spatters of rain quickly turned into torrents so violent that they bounced off the ground. Instinctively, Zoe snuggled closer to Nick. The temperature had dropped and their breath was visible in the air. The pair stood silently, awestruck by the force of Mother Nature.

Zoe felt Nick shift, and she looked up at him. He was looking at her, a lopsided grin on his face.

“What?” said Zoe.

“It’s amazing, isn’t it? Makes you feel kind of insignificant.”

They both looked back at the rain, which was still teeming down, heedless of their plight. After a few silent seconds, they shared another glance. Their breath mingled together under Nick’s coat and Zoe was suddenly very aware of how close together their faces were. Especially when Nick bent down to kiss her.

Zoe surprised herself by not freaking out when their lips touched. Even more so when he slipped one hand round the back of her neck, pulling her closer, while the other still held the coat over their heads. She reasoned with herself; he was a good-looking guy. And it had been a while. One little kiss wouldn’t hurt.

Opening her mouth to admit his tongue, Zoe started to think perhaps Nick wasn’t that boring, after all. He was an extremely good kisser, slow and sensual. She put her arms around his waist, pulling their lower bodies together. It soon became apparent that he was enjoying this just as much as she was. As his erection pressed against Zoe’s hip, a delicious heat grew in her groin. Rain always made her horny, so snogging under a tree in a storm was bound to do funny things to her libido.

When Nick manoeuvred them both round so she was pressed against the tree, the last thing on her mind was getting her coat dirty. He pulled away from her mouth, only to start kissing her neck, jaw line and even having a little nibble on her earlobe.  Zoe felt juices trickling into the gusset of her knickers and her clit ached for attention.

Evil Plans and Stuff…

Evil Plans and StuffYou like my notebook? Me too… it was a gift from the lovely Kay Jaybee and when I was thinking about writing this blog post, I couldn’t resist snapping a photo of it to include. It seemed fitting, somehow ;)

So, I’ve been mega busy just lately with various projects on the Writer Marketing Services side of things, and have also been squeezing in some serious writing time, too. As a result, I haven’t posted an update on here for a while, so I thought I would let you in on a few exciting bits of news…

Firstly, I just finished (literally, this evening) the first draft of a long short story (hey, almost 12k is long for me) which will be the start of a series, if it’s accepted. I’m aiming it at a particular publisher, who I won’t name just in case I jinx it! But rest assured, you will have more information as and when there’s anything to tell. It’s called A Taste of London, and I think the title gives you a fair hint as to what it might be about. Want to know more? Check out the Pinterest board I created for it.

Secondly, there’s lots of news concerning uniforms! Mmm, my favourite! Anyway, I found out recently that Uniform Behaviour is going to be available in paperback from the end of August, woohoo! I’m told it will be available worldwide, but at the moment, there’s only a pre-order link up on Amazon UK, so feel free to place your order, or if you’re feeling like giving the book some “like” and tag love, I’ll be forever grateful.

Another piece of uniform-related news – I just had an email from Kristina Wright to say that my short erotic romance story, Passing Out Passion was accepted for her upcoming Duty & Desire: Military Erotic Romance anthology, which will be coming out in the autumn. Hurrah! :D

Finally, I just wanted to post a quick reminder about the two anthologies I’m co-editing with Victoria Blisse. We’re still seeking submissions for Smut by the Sea (closing date 1st June) and Smut in the City (closing date 1st August). We’re hoping to launch the books (they’ll be available in print, too) at The Book Show in Luton in September. Check out the website for more details. It sounds like it’s going to be a fantastic event!

Blisse Kiss with Heart

It’s that time again! Yes, time for another Blissekiss! This time, the theme is charity – that is, every story that is excerpted is a book (or from a book) which has proceeds going to charity.

For this reason, I’ve chosen Uniform Behaviour as my book – part of the proceeds from the anthology go to Help for Heroes.

So, what do you do? It’s easy. Just check out the yummy snogging excerpt below, which will hopefully entice you to buy the book ;) Then, scroll down to the Rafflecopter and make your entries to be in with a chance of winning an awesome prize. Uniform Behaviour

Excerpt from Just Couldn’t Wait, my story in Uniform Behaviour.

Taking another sip of fizz, she put the bottle back on the desk and stepped towards Sam. She pushed him towards the desk until the edge hit his legs. He sat down, putting him at a much more manageable height. Then she kissed him. He tasted of champagne and smelled of a subtle but masculine scent. He slipped his arms beneath hers, grabbed her hips and pulled her closer. His strength had put her a little off-balance and her instinct was to grab his biceps to steady herself. It didn’t work. Carla’s fingers had encountered solid muscle – and plenty of it, which resulted in her feeling all the more giddy. Was there no end to this guy’s perfection?

Still grasping one of his arms and squeezing – subtly, she hoped – she moved her other hand to his hair. Carla had always had a thing for guys with long hair. Too often though, guys either had awful pony tails or greasy locks – hardly a turn-on. Not so with Sam. His hair was clean and soft, ideal for tangling fingers into. So that’s what she did, using her grip as leverage to deepen their kiss. He responded by looping his hands together behind her back, completely enveloping her in his arms. Just as well, really, as the mixture of champagne and lust was turning Carla into a weak-kneed mess.

Realising neither of them was really in control of the situation any more, Carla decided to relax and just go with the flow. Their tongues explored one another’s mouths and their hands were wandering. Carla slipped her hand from Sam’s hair downwards. She briefly fiddled with his bow tie, grinning to herself as she remembered what he was wearing, then trailed her hand down his chest and torso. She encountered more muscle. He was definitely hiding a nice firm body beneath that outfit. And that wasn’t all, she noticed, as her hand pressed against the bump between his legs. His cock was rock hard and red hot through the thin material of his trousers. She got the impression that it was perfectly in proportion to the rest of him, too. She certainly hoped so.

What a Weekend!

This weekend was always going to be a fun one. Two erotica-related events were afoot: the More Bang Reading Slam on Friday night at Sh! Portobello, and K D Grace’s book launch for Body Temperature and Rising on Saturday night at Sh! Hoxton. Sounds good already, right? Well, let’s just say it far exceeded expectations.

Friday

My OH and I dashed into our London hotel, got ready then headed out to Portobello, complete with delicious cupcakes (made by my OH, not by me). There was just time for a quick drink in the pub with Lexie Bay and her OH, then it was time for the main event! Hosted by K D Grace and Sarah Berry, the event had several aims:

  • To be a fun smutty evening
  • A way for several erotic writers and poets to showcase their work
  • To raise some cash for a worthy charity

Reading from Immoral ViewsAll these aims were achieved, and then some! Each reading was timed at five minutes, and woe betide any reader that should go over the time limit – Ms. Kay Jaybee was on hand with a spanking paddle to punish any wrongdoers!

We were treated to prose, poetry and performance from the following:

  • Kay Jaybee (a super rendition from her naughty anthology, The Collector)
  • Lexie Bay (a smutty yet humorous snippet from her story, Taken with Consent, from Uniform Behaviour)
  • Yours Truly (I read out a dirty bit from my story Caught in the Act, from Immoral Views)
  • The Dragon King’s Daughter (a super piece of poetry about masturbation)
  • Liz Coldwell (a yummy m/m snippet from her novella, Stranded in Paradise)
  • Annie Player (two poems – one nice, and one deliciously naughty)
  • Sarah Berry (a totally filthy rewrite of the old song, All that Jazz. I’ll just tell you she retitled it All that Jizz and leave the rest to your imagination. ;) )
  • Janine Ashbless (a kinky snippet from her newly released vampire novel, Red Grow the Roses)
  • Ernesto Sarezale (a funny yet sexy poem read in his yummy accent, with some undressing thrown in – can’t be bad!)
  • Lynn Mann (who treated us to a deliciously dark reading from a friend’s work)
  • Meg Philip (a deeply naughty snippet from a true story – so good that she consented to be spanked just so we could hear what happened next!)

It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening, I got to meet some people in the flesh that I’d only ever corresponded with via email, and some completely new people. That, coupled with spending some time with my writing buddies, made for a splendid evening. And yet, there was more to come….

Saturday

After a day pounding London’s pavements, OH and I did another zip across London, got cleaned up at headed to Sh! Hoxton. Another sneaky drink was had in the Bluu Bar next door, before nabbing seats in the pink palace of Sh!, ready for K D Grace’s launch. And… what a launch! There was more fizz, more cupcakes (though unsurprisingly, the ones my OH made disappeared the night before – no leftovers!), goodies, and great company. Much of the crowd from Friday’s festivities were there, and my buddy Victoria Blisse and her lovely hubby also joined us – so it was a smut fest indeed!

K D treated us to several snippets from her novel, Body Temperature and Rising, as well as running a raffle, doing a Q&A and showing off some superb artwork – three artists had created pieces of work based on scenes from the book.

All in all, it was another successful evening. The Sh! Ladiez were awesome, the venue was fab and K D was signing books left, right and centre!

We then mooched over to a restaurant nearby to continue the festivities. Much chat and laughter ensued, but, as is always the case, time runs away with us and it was time to head back to our hotels for the evening.

I’m not quite as sad as usual to leave my writing buddies. Want to know why? Because I’ll see most of them again this weekend at Eroticon 2012! Let more smut and silliness ensue!

And there’s more!

Yes – it’s a wonder I haven’t exploded because on top of all that excitement, I’ve also had a super review of my spooky lesbian tale, Weekend at Wilderhope Manor, appeared on the FRONT COVER of Safeword Magazine and gained a silver star on All Romance eBooks for my new release, The Cottage in the Woods, as well as getting a fab first review of the same book!

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to squeeeeee in the corner. Yes, I said squee. ;)

Raging for Uniform Behaviour

Uniform Behaviour: Steamy Stories About Men and Women in UniformWell over a year after its release, and Uniform Behaviour is still garnering brilliant reviews, yay!

Tamela Quijas of At Your Fingertips covered the anthology, and gave it five raging stars:

“Uniform Behaviour was a delightful series of 16 short and VERY scorching stories that centered on men and women serving the public, from waiters, priests, cooks, security guard, and even the seriously dedicated Queen’s guard. The 16 stories that form this wonderful erotica novel run from blazing hot reads that will make the blush, to delightfully sizzling tales that will curl your toes. A delicious read that will make you burn the candles late at night—worthy of 5 raging stars.”

This editor (and contributor) is happy dancing! ;)

Want to know more about this hot anthology, which as well as containing sixteen seriously sexy stories about men and women in uniform, also donates a percentage of the proceeds to UK charity Help for Heroes? Check out the book page here.

Weekend Dirty Dozen No. 5 #WD12

Uniform BehaviourIt’s week five of Weekend Dirty Dozen, which I found via their Facebook page, here. You all seemed to enjoy last week’s post, so I’m going to share a little more from that story…

Just Couldn’t Wait, from Uniform Behaviour.

Bores chatting amongst themselves, bouncy PR girls talking up the product, stuffing samples into pockets and handbags, and waiters whizzing around with trays of champagne.

I need to get me some of that, thought Carla. Some bubbles might make the evening go more quickly.

She sidled out of her corner and moved towards the centre of the room, ready to snag a glass from the next tray that zipped past. Seconds later, a waiter headed in her direction. However, by the time the contents of his tray were in grabbing distance, Carla had forgotten all about the champagne.

The guy was gorgeous. How on earth had she not noticed him before? The evening would have been much more interesting had she had some eye candy to perv on. And this fella was definitely eye candy. Boxes of it, in fact.

Reaching across to claim her flute of bubbles, Carla took the opportunity to study the waiter more closely.

Weekend Dirty Dozen No. 4 #WD12

Uniform BehaviourIt’s week four of Weekend Dirty Dozen, which I found via their Facebook page, here. Rather than carry on with the story I shared last week, I wanted to do something different, in honour of the very special date.

As I’m sure you know, today is Remembrance Day (that’s what we call it in the UK). Wherever you’re from, whatever it’s called to you, it means the same to us all. So in honour of that, I’m going to share twelve sentences from an erotic anthology I put together last year, called Uniform Behaviour. As my way of saying thanks, a proportion of the proceeds from this book go directly to UK charity Help for Heroes, which provides help for returning servicemen and women who’ve been injured at war.

I’m not going to say any more as I don’t want to get maudlin, so without further ado, here’s dozen from my story in the anthology, entitled Just Couldn’t Wait.

Carla was pissed off. She’d made an awful lot of effort for this event, and it was totally bombing. As a freelance journalist, you never know when you’ll need a favour, so Carla had dressed up and attended in order to keep everyone happy. The evening was the launch of some perfume or another – it was basically an excuse for a glitzy party and some networking. Unfortunately, though, it wasn’t doing anything for Carla, networking or otherwise.

Hell, the party was posh enough. There was plenty of food and drink to go around, but the company sucked. All the fun people clearly had better things to do this evening. Which is why Carla was displaying behaviour most unlike her; she was being a wallflower. There were hardly any people around that she knew, and the ones she did know, she didn’t particularly like.

Lurking in the corner, she observed. Not that there was much to look at.

A Slew of Awesome Reviews!

Uniform Behaviour: Steamy Stories About Men and Women in UniformA Bit of Rough
Succubus Comes HomeThe Best of Lucy Felthouse
It seems the book bloggers have been incredibly busy this weekend! My inbox has been graced with five awesome reviews, so naturally I am ecstatic. Here’s what they had to say (click on the book titles to see more info about them):

Uniform Behaviour:

“…seriously sexy, well-written pieces of erotic sensuality, the kind that I can read over and over again and still find arousing… The uniforms in this collection are fun sexual devices–after all, who doesn’t love a hot fireman or a sexy cleaning lady?–but they’re more than that. In the best stories in this book, the uniforms become things to hide in and things to escape from. They become about identity and relating and worldview. They become about experiences, life-stories and lusts. And most of all, they become about the desires of the very real characters who wear them.” 4-Letter Words

“I loved that there was variety in the stories, everything from police officers to wait staff. The stories may have been short but they were definitely sexy and fun. Overall I enjoyed this collection of stories and give Uniform Behavior 4 Flaming Hearts.” Heather’s Musings

A Bit of Rough:

“A Bit of Rough by Lucy Felthouse was unbelievably hot and steamy. I thought how honest Allison was about what exactly she wanted. The male character was written perfectly – he is exactly how I imagine “bad boys” to be. Anyone who enjoys the erotic romance genre should read any or all of Lucy Felthouse’s stories.” All Things Books

Succubus Comes Home:

“Succubus Comes Home by Lucy Felthouse was a very exciting story. I loved how the author blended the paranormal/supernatural with erotic romance. I find myself enjoying each story by Lucy Felthouse more than the last but I must say that this is by far my favorite one yet.” All Things Books

The Best of Lucy Felthouse

“The Best of Lucy Felthouse is a collection of five short stories that are all a must read for fans of erotic romance. My favorite out of the five shorts was Fantasy Assignment because you can’t go wrong with a hot man in a military uniform. The story with the female was student who was fantasizing over a male classmate was so believable that I didn’t even know it was all happening in the female character’s head until the end.” All Things Books

Uniform Behaviour is a Diva!

Uniform Behaviour: Steamy Stories About Men and Women in Uniform

Just spotted… another awesome review for Uniform Behaviour, this time from Dark Divas Reviews! They rated it 4 Delightful Divas out of 5, and commented:

“Each author’s style was unique along with their level of spice, but what was consistent was the care for maintaining quality stories in similar lengths. Ms. Felthouse’s anthology will have you looking at people in all uniforms differently from now on!”

You can check out the review in its entirety here, and also check out the various retailers it’s available from here.
