Walks into History: Cheshire – Brian Conduit
Walks into History: Cheshire is more than just a book of walks. It will appeal to walkers, of course, but if you’re also interested in history, this is perfect. Containing 16 walks in Cheshire, this book gives clear and concise instructions for your walk, but also gives you a decent amount of background on each walk, which makes each one all the more fascinating. The walks are spread fairly evenly throughout the county which gives a lovely wide variety of scenery, from dramatic views on the edge of the Peak District to sea views on the west side of the county.
The walk instructions are thorough, including car park information which is vital, particularly if you’re not familiar with the area in which you plan to walk. Overall, this is a great book – the photographs are lovely, information is accurate and the background is fascinating. If you have an interest in this kind of book then I’d definitely recommend it.
