New Release: Smut by the Sea Volume 2

Hurrah! I’m delighted to announce that Smut by the Sea Volume 2, edited by myself and Victoria Blisse, is now available. Here’s the skinny:

Light hearted, sexy fun by the sea is the theme of this erotic anthology, edited by Victoria Blisse and Lucy Felthouse.

From the sun soaked beaches of Brazil to the altogether cooler coastal towns of England, Smut by the Sea Volume 2 has it all. Whatever your interpretation of naughty seaside fun, there’s something nestling between the covers for you. Amusement arcades, beach houses, mermaids, honeymooners, shipwrecks, sex toys and more abound in this exciting collection of stories from erotica’s finest authors.

Contains stories from Victoria Blisse, Tilly Hunter, Rachel Randall, Giselle Renarde, Tamsin Flowers, Lucy Felthouse, Kate Britton, Jillian Boyd, Bel Anderson, Cass Peterson, Delyth Angharad, T C Mill, Erzabet Bishop, Tenille Brown and Annabeth Leong.

And here’s an excerpt from my story, On the Big Wheel:

Brigit loved the seaside. She always had, probably because visiting it was a rarity. Living in the centre of England meant that even the nearest seaside town was over an hour and a half away—and the nice resorts even further.

Which was why her boyfriend, Allen, proposed a long weekend in Brighton. He knew how fond she was of the seaside. Unsurprisingly, she agreed delightedly.

“It’s a long way,” she said. “But it doesn’t matter. We’d never go anywhere if we lamented the length of the journey.”

As it happened, the travelling wasn’t too bad. Miraculously the M1 was clear all the way down to the M25—and even that notorious motorway wasn’t experiencing its usual havoc. A straight shot south on the M23, then the A23 took them towards Brighton, and they navigated the one-way systems and lack of road signs and—eventually—found their hotel.

“Wow,” Brigit said, stretching luxuriously after getting out of the car, “that didn’t take as long as I thought. Shall we check in, dump our bags and go and explore?”

“Sounds like a plan to me,” Allen replied with a grin.

They slammed their respective car doors, grabbed the bags from the boot and headed into the hotel. Fifteen minutes later, after using the toilet and freshening up, they were back outside.

“Nice choice of hotel, babe. I like it.” Brigit said.

“I’m glad. I researched it well,” Allen replied.

“The bed looks nice and comfy.”

“Well, I’m sure we’ll be able to give it a decent road test later.” He winked at her, and got a slap on the arm for his trouble.

“You’ve got a one-track mind, you have.”

“Well, what do you expect when I’ve got a girlfriend that looks like you?”

She giggled. “Charmer.”

“That’s me. Okay, now I’m back in good books,” Allen said, “what do you want to do? Now, I mean. Not at bedtime.” He waggled his eyebrows.

Brigit stuck her tongue out at him before replying. “I dunno. Just look around I guess. Get our bearings. See what there is to do around here.”

They walked hand-in-hand towards the seafront, then along it in the direction of the pier. They passed the burnt out shell of the West Pier, and Brigit wondered aloud whether it would ever be rebuilt or demolished. Or would the blackened skeleton be left there forevermore, a reminder of what once was.

Soon, they drew close to Brighton Pier. Brigit turned to Allen with a grin.

“What?” he said, then followed her almost manic gaze down the length of the pier, towards a building with fake turret-type things and some very real flags. He sighed. He couldn’t be sure from here, but he thought it was bound to be the amusement arcade. “Oh, you want to go in there, do you? I wonder why?” His voice was laden with sarcasm in his last sentence.

“You know damn well why. Come on!” Brigit tugged him along the last few metres of the pavement and onto the wooden slats of the pier. “Ooh, we can have fish and chips when we come out, if you want.”

The Latest News!

So, things have been rather crazy around here just lately, in terms of me being incredibly busy, and also this blog being incredibly busy with all the awesome posts and guest bloggers I’ve had on. So, I’m taking advantage of this free day on the site to blog about what I’ve been up to!

I’ve been doing lots (and lots!) of work in the day job, creating new websites, doing PR for my clients, and so on. Writer Marketing Services has never been busier, which is fabulous. As a result, I’ve been really pushed for time writing-wise, which has made me all the more determined to write harder, and faster, not to mention better. I’m not panicking just yet, though, because I’ve had a few new releases come out since I last did an update blog, and I have more coming.

So, here’s the lowdown on my latest and upcoming books:

Smut for Chocoholics

This little baby hit the digital shelves in the past couple of weeks, and contains my story, Not Just Desserts.

Sensual, sinful chocolately indulgence  is the theme of this erotic anthology, edited by Kevin Mitnik, with assistance from Victoria Blisse.

Smut for Chocoholics is all about indulgence, taking wicked delight in the erotic consumption and use of chocolate, with tales from some of erotica’s finest authors.. Whatever your relationship with the seductive cocoa, there’s something nestling between the covers for you.

Contains tales from Victoria Blisse, Giselle Renarde, Lexie Bay, Annabeth Leong, Lily Harlem, Violet Fields, Nicole Gestalt, Tamsin Flowers, Tenille Brown, Vanessa de Sade, Wendi Zwaduk and Lucy Felthouse.

The Master

This story is my first from several that have been commissioned from Nexus – another four will hit the digital shelves over coming months. It is called The Unexpected Submissive, and the anthology will be available from April 1st – though you can pre-order now.

The Master is a collection of short stories selected and edited by Peter Birch, all on the theme on the dominant male. This is erotica, proud and uninhibited, with eight stories from seven different authors chosen for their knowledge and experience as well as for their ability to write. From the subtle touch of Lucy Felthouse to Penny Birch’s unabashed delight in submission, all are designed to thrill, exploring both fantasy and reality to the very edge of what is permissible.

Smut by the Sea Volume 2

Fellow Northern Bird Victoria Blisse and myself are currently finishing up the edits for this anthology, and hope to have it off to the publisher very, very soon, likely to be released in early April. As well as editing this book, it contains my story, On the Big Wheel.

The Mammoth Book of Quick and Dirty Erotica

My story, On the Night Bus, appears in this awesome anthology, edited by Maxim Jakubowski. This is my first Mammoth print release, and I was very happy to be included.

Over 130 pieces of very short erotic fiction in categories from first times to bondage.

Over 130 short, short erotic stories of about 1,500 words each, or over 500 pages of outstanding erotica in bite-sized pieces, exploring the full range of human sensual and sexual experience.

Each one of eight sections is devoted to a specific erotic kink, such as spanking, submission, voyeurism, uniforms or bondage, providing an astonishing diversity of erotica between the covers of one book.

Despite its length, this short-form erotica from the world’s leading writers remains inventive, provocative, sensual, and above all intelligent. These are sexual adventures to intrigue, shock, puzzle, and both scare and arouse. Mere titillation is never enough.

You can check out an excerpt here, and pre-order the paperback. Other links will be added as soon as they become available: https://lucyfelthouse.co.uk/published-works/the-mammoth-book-of-quick-dirty-erotica/

So, as well as these exciting developments, I have signed a contract for a co-author novel with a fellow writer, and I’ll dish the dirt as soon as I’m able. Naturally, I’m very excited about it, as I think it’s going to be the start of a whole series of books, which is excellent. I’m still waiting for news on my novel, which is currently with a publisher. However, just last week I had a short story acceptance, subject to publisher approval, so I’m not naming names until I’ve signed a contract, and also had a novella accepted by another publisher. I haven’t received the contract for that yet, either, so I’ll say as soon as I can. There’s plenty coming up, it has to be said, so I’m ecstatic about that.

I’m also very happy about my nomination for The Romance Reviews Best Book of 2012. I posted about this the other day, but in case you didn’t see it, Off the Shelf was nominated in the Best Erotic Romance – Contemporary Romance category. If you’re so inclined, I would absolutely love your votes, as my competition is incredibly stiff, and I’d love to see my first novella – a book I adored writing – win an award! Voting is here.

New Release: Smut Alfresco

As this post goes live, I’m in London at the Eroticon conference, woohoo! Exciting times.

However, this post is not about my hi-jinks. It’s about the release of Smut Alfresco: Tales of Outdoor Adventure, which I co-edited with Victoria Blisse. All the details are below:

Sex in the great outdoors is the theme of this erotic anthology, edited by Victoria Blisse and Lucy Felthouse.

From the dramatic gritstone escarpments of Derbyshire’s Peak District, to a quiet caravan site in deepest Wales, Smut Alfresco has it all. Whatever your interpretation of frisky outdoor fun, there’s something nestling between the covers for you.

Sexy woodsmen, daring couples, rock stars, cougars, map enthusiasts, mattresses, ex-lovers, tour guides, hunky sheriffs and nature reserve rangers all appear in this hot collection of stories from erotica’s finest authors.

Includes stories from: Violet Fields, Demelza Hart, Victoria Blisse, Jacqueline Brocker, Wendi Zwaduk, K T Red, Tilly Hunter, Bel Anderson, Lucy Felthouse, Kay Jaybee, Tenille Brown, Cass Peterson, Jenny Lyn and Nicole Gestalt.

And here’s a short excerpt from my story:

Violet slammed down the lid of her laptop with far more force than was necessary. She flinched, thinking perhaps she might have cracked the screen or broken one of the machine’s internal components. Then she shrugged, realising she didn’t care if she had. It was her work’s computer, after all, not hers. If it was fucked, they’d have to replace it. And it would serve them right, too. Bastards.

The reason she was pissed off was the fact she was in work at all. It was Saturday, and the previous afternoon her useless boss had dumped a project on her, stating it had to be finished by Monday, no matter how long it took. He’d then added that he was going away for the weekend, meaning it was all down to her. The selfish, disorganised wanker. It wouldn’t be so bad, but she hadn’t had a pay rise for two years, and when she went above and beyond for her job, she didn’t get so much as a thank you, let alone be paid any overtime. It wasn’t the first time something like this had happened, either.

Well, fuck them. She wasn’t going to be a doormat—or her boss’ scapegoat—any more. Let them try and sack her—she wasn’t doing anything remotely wrong, and they couldn’t make her working life any more hellish than it already was.

She stood up sharply, sending her swivel chair careening backwards across the room until it hit the wall. She shrugged again, she still didn’t care. Let it chip the fucking paintwork, or a bust a hole in the plasterboard. No one else was there, so nobody could prove or disprove that it had been an accident.

Pausing to switch the lights off—she was pissed off at her employers, not the environment—she left the offices, setting the alarm before closing the door behind her. Stuffing her access swipe card into her handbag, she heaved a sigh of relief. There would probably be hell to pay for her stunt on Monday, but she’d worry about that then. Right now, she was just desperate to get out. Into the countryside, or, given she was in central London, to a green space, at the very least.

From where she worked, Green Park was probably the closest, but she figured Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens were bigger, so she’d be more likely to find a secluded spot where she could just be by herself. The last thing she needed now was to have to deal with other people.

Want your copy? Buy links are here, with more being added as they become available.

Also, some of the authors will be stopping by over the next few weeks, dishing the dirt on the inspiration for their stories. Watch this space.

Erotica and Me.

I have a dirty mind and a vivid imagination. Way back when I was a virginal 13 or 14, my best friend and I used to spend Saturday evening sleepovers writing ‘stories ‘ – in the form of scripts starring ourselves as the main characters, to be read out for extra comic effect – which involved meeting and (inevitably) having sex with members of the band ‘The Boomtown Rats’. To add a little squeal value, we used to often graphically describe each other having sex with the Rat we liked the least. If I was writing, I got my favourite (Bob, always Bob) and ditto for her. It was hilarious and I’d still love to have sleepovers and play that game – unfortunately, she doesn’t feel the same way!

I was the one who gathered sexual information from magazines, encyclopaedias, my parents’ collection of ‘Tree of Knowledge’ – anywhere. I explained to any innocent, ignorant friend (again, graphically I daresay) what blowjobs were, what cunnilingus meant, what an orgasm was.

Not one of my friends has expressed surprise that I am writing erotica!

If they were to read what I’ve written (to date, I don’t think any of them have and to be honest I haven’t really pointed them in that direction) they’d think I’m up to all sorts of sexual shenanigans, but this is where the imagination I used aged 13/14 comes in. I’d never had sex, but I described in one memorable story a ‘grinding’ as he moved his cock inside her (me!) When I actually got to have sex a few years later, I was delighted to find that there is a sort of grinding – not of the peppermill kind (unless a peppermill is your chosen instrument of pleasure, but that sounds like another story) – involved in sex. My imagination was correct!

I love to use my imagination to dream up situations and play that I haven’t experienced myself. That’s not to say that my husband and I don’t have a perfectly satisfying love-life, but we certainly have never been up to some of the things I’ve written about and are not likely to be in many cases. In my mind I get to do all sorts of things (safely in the guise of a character) with young, muscled, sexy men, in situations that I will never find myself in in real life. It has to be the biggest perk of writing erotica!

I read erotica – I love reading erotica. I have no idea whether what I read is based on the author’s experience or gleaned from reading erotica, looking on the internet, magazines… and it doesn’t matter. If it’s good, it’s good. If they can imagine what the sex act they’re writing about would feel like and describe it effectively, that’s enough for me.

My sister’s husband recently observed to her that I must be thinking about sex all the time as it’s what I write about. (Yes, it made it slightly difficult to meet his eye without giggling the next time we met!)

I can’t deny that I think about it a lot and always have (although possibly not quite so much when I was a mum with a head full of young children). It interests me greatly – in theory and in practise. It’s hard for me to be with couples without imagining them having sex. I find myself studying people at work, in shops, anywhere. Nobody is safe!

Smut AlfrescoErotica, to me, is the honest expression of something that fascinates all of us. Just like the act of sex itself, sometimes you might fancy ‘wham, bam, thank you, ma’am!’ and sometimes something a little more sensual and slow-moving. So far I’ve found something for every mood. Along the way I’ve also discovered a lot of writers to admire and some very high writing standards to aspire to. I’m delighted to have had a story accepted for Lucy and Victoria’s upcoming ‘Smut Alfresco’ collection. What excellent company to be in!

My other published erotica can be found here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=ntt_athr_dp_sr_2?_encoding=UTF8&field-author=Bel%20Anderson&search-alias=books-uk

A Happy Hat Trick!

Lover Unexpected: Sappho EditionIf you saw yesterday’s blog post, you’ll already know that I had a lesbian erotic romance story come out as part of Evernight Publishing’s Lover Unexpected: Sappho Edition anthology. And already it’s gained a silver star on All Romance eBooks – how awesome is that?! SO excited!

However, on my way back from London (we dashed in and out for a few hours. Yes, I know we’re insane), in an attempt to stay awake in the car, and because I’m obsessive like that, I checked out Amazon. And, lo and behold, I spotted TWO other new releases that I hadn’t been expecting. Well, I kind of had, obviously, but not yesterday. Hence my hat trick – three new releases in one day!

Smut by the SeaSo, there was Lover Unexpected: Sappho Edition, as I already mentioned. But the two surprise releases were Smut by the Sea, a seaside themed erotic anthology which I co-edited with Victoria Blisse, which also contains my fairground story, Dodging (not Dogging, as Victoria originally thought when she saw the title). Finally, my super sexy sugar daddy story, In Search of Bookcases was released as part of Xcite Books’ Cougars and Jackals anthology.

Each of the book pages for Lover Unexpected: Sappho Edition, Smut by the Sea and Cougars and Jackals have more information about each of the books, as well as extracts from my stories, and buy links.

Cougars and JackalsSo, dependent on whether you like romantic lesbian fiction based in London, seducing a fairground worker in Hunstanton, or hooking up with a seriously rich guy in Harrods, London, (ooh, two stories set in London – weird coincidence), check out the pages and get clicking on those buy links.

Also, if you want more of my story, Finally Found, from the Lover Unexpected: Sappho Edition anthology, stop by tomorrow and check out my Sunday Snog and you’ll be able to read a saucy snippet from when my sexy lesbian ladies have their first kiss. It’s hot! 😉

Happy reading, everyone!
