*****

My story in this collection is called Bearly Caught, here is the blurb for you!

Blurb:

Daniella Holt needed to get away from a controlling ex that wouldn’t take no for an answer, she thought that a few weeks in Hillion Falls renovating her Aunt’s house before she could sell it would be just the ticket. But there’s something odd about the small community that she can’t quite put her finger on and the handsome town mayor she runs into is definitely a distraction that she doesn’t need.

Emmett Greyson is the pack Alpha of Hillion Falls and things usually come fairly easy for him. Until he meets the niece of one of his former pack members and she has his bear all tied up in knots. Unfortunately, Dani doesn’t seem to be like any other woman he’s met before, and if he thinks it’s going to be easy to get her attention or her trust—he’d better think again.

When Dani ends up hurt they’re all in for a surprise no one could have anticipated, but will the crazy changes happening in her life drive her back to the man she didn’t want, or will Emmett find a way to catch Dani’s skittish heart once and for all?

Freaky Friday!

The Cottage in the WoodsWhy freaky, you might ask? Well, it’s because I am in several places at once!

My good buddy Victoria Blisse has me over at her blog today for a Friends Friday piece (though who knows if we’ll still be friends after spending all of tomorrow together, including sharing a hotel room? 😉 ) about igniting the spark – which is a little background behind my latest release, The Cottage in the Woods:

I’m also at the Para Posse blog today, dishing the dirt on The Cottage in the Woods and also running an awesome giveaway – so don’t miss it! FREE books!

And last, but certainly not least, the super Sam Crescent has me on her blog for a Friday teaser (also about The Cottage in the Woods – do you see a pattern emerging?):

Ok, must dash, I have a busy day ahead which includes working, walking the dog, visiting the opticians and packing my bag for Eroticon 2012! Eek!

Keep an eye on the blog for an update on Sunday, as I’m appearing in two places at once then, too. There will be fun, there will be excitement and there will be giveaways – so don’t miss it!

Have a fab weekend, everyone! 😀

eBook Review: Office Hours by Sam Crescent

Article first published as eBook Review: Office Hours by Sam Crescent on Blogcritics.

Office Hours

Office Hours was a much anticipated read for me, as it’s set in one of my favourite places, Buxton in Derbyshire. For that reason, I pounced on it when it was released.

I had no idea what to expect, as it’s Sam Crescent’s first release, but I’m happy to say I was not disappointed. I was enthralled by the characters and storyline from the very beginning and kept flipping those virtual pages, desperate to find out what happened next.

In brief, the story is about Anya King and her boss, Nathan Banks. He’s a somewhat arrogant man and Anya is his super-efficient, super-aloof PA. Their relationship has always been completely professional. Anya does her job, does it well and doesn’t take any crap from Nathan. He respects her and thinks she’s very good at her job. He also fancies her, and she him, but there’s never been so much as a hint of this between them before. That is, until now.

The fun begins when Anya discovers that Nathan has booked a team-building weekend for the two of them – without telling her until the last minute. She already had sexy weekend plans and isn’t happy about being forced to cancel them, especially when she finds out why. She does as she’s ordered, and goes along, but she makes her displeasure very clear.

Soon, though, the frosty atmosphere between them is melted away by their attraction to one another. They gradually get to know more about one another on a personal basis, rather than their usual office professionalism. And the more they discover, the more compatible they appear to be.

Eventually, they give into temptation and have some seriously hot sex. But is it just physical attraction between them – or does their compatibility spell something longer term? Will they risk having their fragile hearts broken again? And what happens at the office? Read the book to have all these questions and many more answered…

I really enjoyed this novella. It was a quick, easy read, but it sure was satisfying. A brilliant debut release and one that I’d recommend if you like a quickie m/f, romantic read.
