On August 6th, 2 of the UK’s top erotic authors will delight and arouse during this Pride-inspired erotica book reading.

Kay Jaybee is the author of the Fem Dom novel, The Perfect Submissive, and the erotic e-anthologies, Yes Ma’am, Quick Kink One and Quick Kink Two (Xcite), and the sexy paperback The Collector (Austin & Macauley, 2008), which features the adventures of a writer, forever in the pursuit of tales of sexual adventure.
As well as being a regular contributor to www.OystersandChocolate.com , Kay has a number of stories published by Cleis Press (inc Best of the Best Women’s Erotica 2; Best Women’s Erotica 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2012; Best Lesbian Romance, 2009, Sweet Love), Black Lace (Sex and Music, Sexy Little Numbers), Xcite Books (Boy Fun, Ultimate Sin, Seriously Sexy Stocking Filler), Mammoth Books (The Mammoth Book of Lesbian Erotica), and Penguin (Oysters and Chocolate; Erotic Stories of Every Flavor), and Forum Magazine.

Details of Kay’s stories, past, present, and future, can be found at www.kayjaybee.me.uk

During Lucy’s first year studying Creative Writing at the University of Derby, she was dared to write an erotic story. It went down a storm and she’s never looked back. Lucy has had stories published by Cleis Press, Noble Romance, Ravenous Romance, Summerhouse Publishing and Xcite Books. Find out more at https://lucyfelthouse.co.uk/. You can also find her on Facebook and Twitter.

Kay will be taking on the boys (so to speak) as she reads m/m stories from her fab erotic story collection The Collector and also from Xcite Books’ Boy Fun anthology.

I will be dealing with the Sapphic delights (again, so to speak) as I read from Ravenous Romance anthology, I Kissed A Girl and my erotic vampire romance book Bite with Height from Noble Romance.

So if you’re in the London area, we’d love to see you! But remember, don’t RSVP to Kay or I – you need to contact the Sh! Girlz directly to book your space! (shop@sh-womenstore.com)

A Weekend of Smut and Books

Well, what an eventful weekend! I have spent the majority of it in London, having an awesome time.

The main reason for my visit was to descend on the lovely ladies at Sh! Women’s Erotic Emporium and do a reading at their Portobello store.

The reading was a combined event, with myself, Rebecca Bond and Victoria Blisse promoting Uniform Behaviour, and Kay Jaybee reading from her two latest releases, The Perfect Submissive and Yes Ma’am. It was a star studded event, with attendances from K D Grace, Lexie Bay and Lily Harlem, to name but a few.

Kay began the proceedings with a fabulous reading from The Perfect Submissive. She was followed by Rebecca, who read from the delicious Sin City. Then Victoria and I read from our stories, Dirty Deeds and Just Couldn’t Wait. The readings were punctuated by pink champagne and yummy cakes, which is always appreciated.

All in all, despite some travel mayhem, a fabulous evening was had by all.

Then today, I headed for the London Book Fair with Rebecca Bond and K D Grace. We did the rounds, checking out stands and lusting over books. We also did an awful lot of chatting and setting the world to rights. We headed to the Xcite Books stand and had a natter with the lovely Hazel Cushion and also bumped into Maxim Jakubowski, who asked how the Sh! reading had gone – I truly have had a star studded weekend! OK, I met not have met a famous actor or musician, but the people I have had the privilege of meeting and talking to are a damn sight more interesting!

So as you can see – I’ve had an incredibly busy weekend and am ready to drop! Will be posting pics over the next couple of days when I’ve had chance to download them from my camera and catch up on emails! 🙂

K D Grace’s Book Launch at Sh! Hoxton

Last Friday, I attended the launch of K D Grace’s wonderful new novel, The Initiation of Ms Holly, at the Hoxton branch of Sh! Women’s Erotic Emporium.  It was the first time I’d met K D, though we’d previously done lots of chatting via email and Facebook – and it was lovely to finally meet her face to face!

I also met Kay Jaybee (another fab erotic author) for the first time, and also caught up with Sarah Berry (editor of Foreplay Magazine) and Hazel Cushion (owner of Xcite Books). There was champagne and cupcakes, sex toys galore to set the scene, and of course, K D’s wonderful reading…

K D Grace

I don’t want to give too much away about the book, but you can see an excerpt over on Erotica For All. I’ve heard the excerpt read aloud, as well as a couple of other sections of the book, and let me tell you… it’s a red-hot read! I’ll be reviewing it soon enough, so watch this space if you don’t believe me!

So, what with all the networking…

…larking around…

…and erotic fiction… a fabulous evening was had by all!

My congratulations go to K D – and I hope to be able to attend similar cool events in the future!

Sex Toy Review: Fun Factory SmartBalls Teneo Duo

Fun Factory SmartBalls Teneo DuoThe lovely lot at Sh! Women’s Erotic Emporium sent me some love eggs/love balls to try out. And here they are: the Fun Factory SmartBalls Teneo Duo. Yes, quite the mouthful… but that’s not where they go! 😉

No, these little babies are to put… well, up *there.* They have a couple of uses: they can tighten up your bits after childbirth; give you longer stronger orgasms; or they can make you feel a bit naughty. So really, they’re capable of multi-tasking and will make you smile.

Some women wear these as a game, that is, they’ll wear them out somewhere, and feel smug in the knowledge that they’re getting pleasure out of them and nobody else even knows they’re there! Or they’ll let on to their other half and enjoy the shocked reaction. Which, let’s be honest, will probably pretty quickly turn to arousal… so a bonus all round really!

I think the idea of love balls/eggs is great, but the reality isn’t so hot with this particular model. Normally, Fun Factory stuff is fab, and there’s no denying that these SmartBalls are really well made. It’s just that they’re not that comfortable. They feel sturdy, and the loop for removing them feels strong enough that it won’t snap if your lady bits give some resistance. However, the actual ‘balls’ are quite large, and not very smooth. For this reason they’re not very easy to insert and can scrape against your most delicate parts both on insertion and removal, which naturally isn’t ideal.

A shame, really, because the idea of exercise balls is great, and the manufacturer has a great reputation, it’s just this particular model doesn’t really live up to expectations. These might suit some women, but those of you who are like me and enjoy comfort, particularly in matters of the downstairs, you might want to give these a miss.

Check out the Fun Factory SmartBalls: Teneo Duo on Sh!’s website, or pop in and see them if you’re in the London area. They’re currently retailing at £16.

Product Review: Whiz Freedom

Wizz FreedomNot my usual kind of product review, I know, but nevertheless I think women will love the Whiz Freedom. You see, it’s a gadget that means you can whiz/wee/pee/urinate/whatever-word-you-use in public without getting your bottom out.

Sh! Women’s Erotic Emporium sent it to me to test out – along with some more erotic items which I shall review at a later date.

Basically, you hold the Whiz firmly against your lady parts and let your tinkle go. It’s great for people who go walking and camping, and even for avoiding having to sit on yucky public toilets!

It’s tricky to get the hang of, more because once you first try and use it, you’re convinced it won’t work and that you’re going to wet yourself. So my advice is to use it in the shower or over your own toilet at home just to get used to the sensation. Trust me, if you’re holding it currently, your wee will go where it’s meant to!

It really is a fab idea, particularly for someone like me who can’t always find a thick enough bush to hide behind (no rude comments please!) when I’m out walking in the countryside. You can simply ‘go’ somewhere as discreet as possible. The Freedom is covered in antibacterial stuff and it repels liquid, so basically you can use it, then give it a good shake and put it away. You can buy proper bags for them, but to be honest there’s no reason you couldn’t just pop it in a small make up bag or something (one of its own I mean, I’m not proposing you put it in with your lippy!) to keep it out of the way. Once you get home, of course, you can give it a proper wash – in the washing machine if you wish. Yes, the Whiz Freedom is made from a material which will stand temperatures up to 40 degrees. So although the product is ‘clean’ as soon as you’ve shaken it, you can get that extra piece of mind when you’re back at home.

So, if like me, you’re out and about in the countryside a lot or despise using public toilets, then the Whiz Freedom is a great buy. It’s just £9.99 from the Sh! Women’s Erotic Emporium website; alternatively if you’re in the London area you can pop into their store – visit their site for more details.
