Reviews and Awards

I’m just keeping you lovely lot up to date with what’s going on with me and my writing. I’ve had another couple of fab reviews, see below:

Review for Off the Shelf:

“This story turned out to be a really fun read! It wasn’t overloaded on sexual content, but there was definitely enough to keep it interesting! I really enjoyed Annalise and had fun on her trip through this story. Damien is also quite the treat, and in more ways than one! …when you are confronted with sexy Portuguese men who would normally light another fire for you, you can only focus on the one your heart desires. And that really made this story, and Annalise, special.” Fictional Candy

Review for The Military Wife:

“Overall I did enjoy this steamy erotic read featuring military men from England and their significant others. It was a very quick read but the hot sex and sexy military men made for some very entertaining reading.” The Jeep Diva

Also, it’s February, argh! Which means that you have just a few days left to vote in the Xcite Awards. If you haven’t already voted, I would absolutely love your votes for LucyFelthouse.co.uk and EroticaForAll.co.uk – I’ve never won anything like that before, so it would be totally awesome if I did, and I’d be massively grateful to all of you 🙂 Voting is here.

In terms of what’s coming up, I have stories in anthologies coming soon (most especially Smut Alfresco, Smut by the Sea Vol 2 and Coming Together: With Curves). I have a BDSM mini-anthology on its way from House of Erotica. Also, A Taste of Paris has been contracted – yay! I’m waiting on covers and edits. Once edits are done, it shouldn’t be too long before it’s released, so I’ll keep you posted. I’m working on some other stories, as always, but I don’t want to say much until they’re (hopefully) accepted by the publisher. Let’s just say, if the stories are accepted, there will be some exciting books coming out in the future! Good times!

Yay! For the second year running, I’m an Xcite Books Awards Finalist! I’m in two categories, one for this website, https://lucyfelthouse.co.uk, and also as best reviewer for http://eroticaforall.co.uk.

I’m up against some seriously tough competition, so I’d love it if you’d consider voting for me. I would be very, very grateful!

Xcite Awards 2013 – Have you Nominated Yet?

Xcite Books, the UK’s largest erotic publisher, is launching its second annual awards programme celebrating the best of the adult industry.

From now until the end of December members of the public can nominate the companies, reviewers, bloggers and sexperts who they think are doing a great job in supporting and promoting erotic fiction for the Xcite Awards 2013.

Hazel Cushion, Managing Director of Xcite Books, said; “In a year which has seen erotic fiction move off the top shelf and onto the supermarket shelf, it’s still important we recognise the people who are making this genre such a success.

Xcite Awards 2013 is seeking nominations in the following categories:

Best Internet Retail Site:  For sites that offer a great service, a range of products, and an enjoyable online shopping experience.

Best Blog or Author Page: This category celebrates those that are using blogs to promote erotic writing. It could be an author who engages well with readers or a blogger who is passionate about reading erotica.

Best Reviewer: Reviewers can make or break a book and they can help hidden gems to get a larger audience. This category is open to both print and internet reviewers.

Best Sexpert: Xcite Books wants to acknowledge the important work sex therapists do in saving stagnating relationships, many of whom recommend its books to clients.

Best Publication: This category is open to both trade and consumer magazines (either in print or online) which support and encourage erotic fiction with reviews, author interviews or industry news.

To nominate your favourites visit  www.xcitebooks.com  and click on the link to the dedicated Facebook page.  Nominations can be submitted between until  30th December. The six finalists from each category, selected on the quality of the nominations, will be announced on 1st January 2013 and a public poll will then open to select the final winners in each category.

The closing date for public voting will be the 13th February 2013 and the winner will be announced on the 14th February 2013.

Last year’s winners: Lovehoney.co.uk (Best Internet Retail Site); Cara Sutra (Best Blog); Erotic Trade Only (Best Publication); Sexytoytesters.co.uk (Best Reviewer) and Violet Blue (Best Sexpert).
