An important message from Lucy Felthouse and Victoria Blisse:
You may or may not know that the Erotica show is back this year and better than ever. The venue has moved to the Tobacco Dock, in East London (not far from Whitechapel) and has lots of exciting stuff going on – see their website http://erotica-uk.com – it’s got details on exact location, opening times, transport, etc, etc…
Most importantly, the dates are 25th, 26th and 27th October. THIS YEAR.
We hope you’d like to get involved. We’ve been asked to put together an authors’ section as part of the show. The venue has a different layout to Olympia, so as opposed to being open plan and full of stalls, it’s like a shopping arcade, with lots of rooms. We’ll have a room for book-ish things, with authors, publishers, readings and other fabulous related stuff. This will be great because it means readers and general chatting won’t have to be shouted over the volume of everything else going on.
We’ll also be doing some seminars and Q&As, but these will be in a different room.
Publishers/Authors
In order for us to pull this off, we’ve got to make the authors’ section worthwhile financially to the show organisers. We know money talk isn’t as fun as erotic books, but sadly it’s a must in this case. To make it worthwhile the show letting us have this room (and if we get it, we’ll be promoting the hell out of it, and hope everyone else will too, so we can pull in hundreds and thousands of readers to come and buy our books!), we need to sell at least ten stands. One stand is a 2m x 1m table, and a chair. Which doesn’t sound very big, but books don’t take up much room, so you’ll be able to get lots on there! As well as swag, etc, whatever else you choose to put on your table. For the three days, one table is £320 each. I know this sounds like a lot of cash, but when you consider it split over three days, with thousands of visitors coming in each day, I think it’s pretty damn good. I’ve organised stands in the past for companies where space has run into the thousands. Don’t forget, you can utilise this space however you wish, including sharing it with another publisher/author/other sponsor. You will, of course, need to man/woman this stand yourself. For lunch breaks, loo breaks, etc, I’m sure people can keep an eye on each others’ stands, but ideally you’d need at least two people for each table.
Those that have a stand will get themselves and another person in for free for the three days, so you won’t have to fork out for tickets on top of that.
Yes.. That’s just £320 for a stand for 3 days! With the potential to reach thousands of eager erotica readers. It’s a bargain!
Sharing?
If you are interested in a stall but cannot afford to do so on your own, then do let us know as we may be able to help arrange for you to share a stall.
Email lucy@lucyfelthouse.co.uk and let her know you are interested!
Sponsors
We’re also looking for sponsors for Smut by the Dock. If you can’t make it to London for the three days of Erotica then this is your way of getting involved without personally attending. We have three sponsorship levels:
Smut
· We’ll feature your logo and website link on a sponsors poster.
· You can Share up to 3 lots of promo or swag on our smut stall.
Cost £50
Smuttier
· Make a bigger impact with an individual poster.
· You can Share all your promo or swag on our smut stall.
Cost £100
Smuttiest
· A managed 2m x 1m stand you can call your own.
· Stock it with promo, freebies, whatever takes your fancy and we’ll keep it clean and stocked while informing people about your fab company. A great way to make an impression on the folk attending Erotica without having to come yourself.
Cost £350
All sponsors will be featured on the Erotica, Smutters and Erotica For All websites in the run up to the event.
Authors
We also have a great opportunity for authors to get their book cover seen by the crowds at the biggest erotic event in the UK. We will include your book cover on our Smut banner. Your 400×600 px cover will be seen by thousands of people and will cost just £10.
You can purchase as many as you like, show off all your pretty covers on our banner if you like. Your book cover will also be featured at http://smutters.co.uk/erotica13 with your buy link for a whole year! Now that’s what we call a bargain.
What Next?!
If you’re interested in purchasing a stand, please let us know ASAP (email lucy@lucyfelthouse.co.uk or victoria@victoriablisse.co.uk), and let us have your contact details – name and phone number, so we can pass them on to the sales team of Erotica and they can sort this out with you directly. If you want to share with someone, you’ll have to agree this amongst yourselves. We need to get these details by the end of the week ideally, so we know whether the authors’ section is a go or not, then we can plan accordingly. We really hope it’s a yes – it will be great to have erotica and erotic romance books represented there.
If you’re not interested in a stand, but would be interested in reading, taking part in our seminars/ Q&As, and just generally stopping by, please let us know. We’ll put you on a list so we can let you know if this goes ahead or not. If it does, then we’ll discuss further details with you then.
We realise this is all a bit short notice, but we’ve only just recently been asked. So, as we’re sure you understand, we need to get the ball rolling on this ASAP. So, to recap:
· If you’re interested in purchasing a stand, let us have your name and phone number ASAP to pass onto the Erotica sales team
· If you aren’t interested in a stand, but want to get involved in another way, please let us know ASAP, and we’ll put you on a list to send you further information when we have it
· If you want to become a sponsor, please email victoria@victoriablisse.co.uk with the level of sponsorship you’re interested in and she’ll tell you all you need to know
· If you want to purchase space on the Smut banner, please email victoria@victoriablisse.co.uk and she’ll go through this with you!
Thanks so much for reading, and we really hope to get you on board!
If you know of anyone that might be interested in this, please feel free to forward this page on to them. The more, the merrier!
So, I’m not Irish, I don’t live in Ireland, I’ve never even visited (something I plan to rectify in the next few years!), or written a book set there. Later this year I do have a novella planned that has characters hailing from Ireland. For now, though, I’ll have to stick to the lucky in love element. That I can do, because I am lucky in love. I met my OH through work, a company neither of us work for any more, and we’ve been together almost five years – wow!
Despite the fact I write romance, I’m not a particularly mushy person. Having said that, the OH and I have a fab time. We have lots in common, like similar senses of humour, we both love to read, watch films and TV, go out exploring the countryside, visit stately homes and other historical places, travel, and much more. He’s also very supportive of my work and comes to book launches and other book-related events with me. What else could I possibly ask for? Enough money to buy a house together would be excellent, but otherwise, all is good! So yeah, I’m definitely lucky in love, and I hope you all are too 🙂
Just a quick bit of information on my latest release below – which is not in the least romantic, but very erotic! Then below that you’ll see the information on how you can win the grand prizes, as well as the individual prize for this blog. After that, you’ll see all the other blogs to hop to. Have fun!

Four kinky and erotic BDSM tales from the smutty pen of Lucy Felthouse.
Balancing the Books
Philip’s a well off man, and doesn’t need a job. But when he sees the gorgeous owner of his local bookshop, he applies for the role that’s being advertised there immediately. He’s totally stricken by the stunning Giovanna, and when it turns out she wants to boss him around in a sexual sense as well as an employment sense, he has no intention of refusing.
Feeling the Heat
Taylor and Maisie’s car has broken down. Luckily, Taylor’s handy with engines and is working hard to get them back on the road. Unfortunately, Maisie is getting annoyed at the amount of time he’s spending in the garage and confronts him. Instead of arguing back, though, Taylor comes up with an ingenious plan to keep Maisie quiet.
The Perfect Dom
Part of Mia’s nightwear is a pair of hotpants with SPANK ME emblazoned across the arse. Normally, that wouldn’t be a problem, but when she forgets that she has a houseguest and heads to the kitchen for a drink, she’s shocked to find Alex in her living room. Immediately spotting what he sees as an invitation written across Mia’s bottom, Alex makes an offer and Mia soon discovers that he is, in fact, the perfect dom.
Meet Me at the Spanish Steps
Darby is working at a holiday camp on the outskirts of Rome and is getting along just fine, with the exception of her sex life. For various reasons, she’s not getting what she wants in the bedroom, and her tastes are very particular. She turns to the Internet to get what she needs, and when she discovers William, it seems that he’s more than willing—and capable—of scratching that particular itch.
