Ella’s Turning What?

It was actually my birthday a few days ago, so Ella and I are both Leos 🙂 I went away for the weekend to the seaside. I walked on the beach, played 2p machines, visited a couple of National Trust properties and basically had fun. I also got soaked three times, I believe, as the heatwave England has been experiencing came to a halt in time for my birthday, grr! I had the usual presents, money, chocolate, a couple of pairs of shoes, some pyjamas. Shockingly, I had no toiletries for the first time in aaages! Lucky in Love Blog Hop

So, I’m not Irish, I don’t live in Ireland, I’ve never even visited (something I plan to rectify in the next few years!), or written a book set there. Later this year I do have a novella planned that has characters hailing from Ireland. For now, though, I’ll have to stick to the lucky in love element. That I can do, because I am lucky in love. I met my OH through work, a company neither of us work for any more, and we’ve been together almost five years – wow!

Despite the fact I write romance, I’m not a particularly mushy person. Having said that, the OH and I have a fab time. We have lots in common, like similar senses of humour, we both love to read, watch films and TV, go out exploring the countryside, visit stately homes and other historical places, travel, and much more. He’s also very supportive of my work and comes to book launches and other book-related events with me. What else could I possibly ask for? Enough money to buy a house together would be excellent, but otherwise, all is good! So yeah, I’m definitely lucky in love, and I hope you all are too 🙂
