If You Liked X, Then You’ll Like Y

Just lately, I’ve seen lots of authors saying that if people liked Fifty Shades of Grey, then they’ll like one of their books. It’s a great way of getting people interested in their work, but since my only BDSM titles are Punish Me Good and Naughty Delivery, I don’t think I have enough material to jump on that particular bandwagon. I have no idea if my titles are similar to Fifty Shades of Grey or not because I haven’t read it yet, though it’s sitting on my Kindle, waiting for me to finish The Hunger Games trilogy.

However, what I do know are my own books. And I also know which ones seem to sell the most. Therefore I’m going to do some “If You Liked X, Then You’ll Like Y” type stuff myself. So here goes…

If you liked:

Bite with Height

Then you’ll like:

The Cottage in the Woods

While the Boys Are Away

Weekend at Wilderhope Manor

If you liked:

Brick Dust & Bedsprings

Then you’ll like:

A Menu with a Difference

Caught in the Act

If you liked:

Susie White and the Right Hand Man

Then you’ll like:

Love Through Time

Succubus Comes Home

Loose Ends

If you liked:

A Bit of Rough

Then you’ll like:

The Great Outdoors

The Great Outdoors Vol 2

The Best of Lucy Felthouse

So there you have it! I’ve covered lesbian, bisexual, straight and menage stuff, voyeurism, paranormal, erotica and erotic romance. There’s a little bit of something in there for everyone – and plenty more on its way! ;)

New Release: Midnight Madness by Olivia Starke

Midnight MadnessBLURB:

Maddie takes a weekend camping trip to forget her two timing ex-boyfriend. Instead of peace and quiet, she stumbles upon two hunks who put the wild in wilderness. And they have plans of their own—to heat up her sexless life. An evening of rowdy lovin’ is just what she needs to get over her broken heart.

When she joins them in a trio that leaves her satisfied and exhausted, they have one more surprise in store called Midnight Madness…

EXCERPT:

Who the hell has an orgy in the middle of the wilderness?

Reported random animal attacks had been Maddie’s concern, not the harassing sounds of sex. She needed peace and quiet to lick her wounds and sort out her life. Not the lusty grunts of some overzealous man giving it to his lady. For the past two hours.

Seriously, two flippin’ hours? She charged through the woods, ready to rain on someone’s parade. They’d just have to find someplace else to have an obscenely loud lovefest.

“God, the nerve of some people.”

She batted at a fly buzzing around her head. So what if she hadn’t had an orgasm in four months—thanks to her selfish ex-boyfriend—well, not one that wasn’t self-induced. And who cared if sex had been nonexistent while the relationship had suffered a slow, painful death.

“Men suck. Certainly no marathon lovemaking for me anytime soon.” She yanked at a limb and flinched when it lashed back against her face, knocking her glasses off. Unreasonable anger boiled over.

“Son-of-a-bitch, piece of….” She kicked out at nothing in particular, giving in to the long overdue temper tantrum. Brambles hooked around her foot and she did a face plant on the leaf-covered forest floor. My utter lack of grace strikes again. Rolling onto her back, she spit out dirt and stuck a scraped finger into her mouth. The wound smarted, distracting her from her fury. She stared at the blue sky through the budding tree limbs, sweat breaking out on her brow. The unseasonably warm spring had driven her to seek a peaceful weekend camping retreat. Maybe she should’ve opted for a hotel with air-conditioning instead. And a six pack of beer, give or take another twelve pack.

“Oh God, yes! More, more, more….” The deep, male voice echoed through the hollow.

Maddie pummeled the ground with her fists. “You oversexed freak!” Her words were drowned out by the man’s grunts.

The Cottage in the Woods Gets Flashed!

The Cottage in the WoodsI had another fab review for The Cottage in the Woods over the weekend – yay! This time, Erotic Flashes covered this f/f erotic romance short story, and commented:

“Lucy has a great talent for weaving an unusual storyline, and keeping you reading until the end. In such a short story, Lucy managed to give the characters strong personalities that lead you to understanding who they are, instead of telling you outright – excellent. If anyone is new to reading F/F romances and doesn’t know where to start, this is a really good place, as it eases you in gently. A great, short read.” 4 out of 5

Six Sentence Sunday – 18/3/12

The Cottage in the WoodsHere’s more from my brand new f/f release, The Cottage in the Woods. (I’ve re-posted this as last time I took part, my scheduled post didn’t go live so I wasn’t included on the list :( )

The beautiful russet fur, big bushy tail with flecks of white – there was a fox in her garden.

Grinning, Heidi rushed to dry her hands on a tea towel and then moved across the room to flick off the light switch. She waited until her eyes became accustomed to the darkness, then made her way back to the window. She spied the fox immediately, crouched down beside the hedge surrounding her garden, as though it was hunting something. A life-long nature lover, Heidi smiled, truly appreciating the stunning beauty of the creature. But the longer Heidi watched the animal, the more confused she became.

Guest Blog: Bri Clark

Erotilunacy By Bri Clark

AcceptanceThank you so much for having me on your amazing blog Lucy. I love that it so accurately portrays your personality from the layout to the posts. As a literary strategist it’s a breath of fresh air. I know you get it cause you are in PR too. I know that cause I checked you out. Well not that way…Enough flattery ; )

I feel it is important when someone does the curtsey of hosting you on a blog tour you do the same in return by reaching out before, during, and after the event. I’m southern I guess it’s the virtual evolution of my upbringing. With that said as a guest poster I wanted to create content that was applicable and interesting to you and your readership. And being the sassafras I am I’m jumping at the chance to talk about the erotilunacy people are perpetuating.

Lucy, since checking out The Familial Witch I’m sure you might have figured out that it’s a Sweet. That’s right as in the “who ha’s don’t touch the tata’s” (that is a Kim Bowman) quote. So what am I going to say about the current attacks on Erotica as a Sweet author?

That it is plain erotiluncay.

I hope you don’t mind that I am speaking on a subject you so beautifully addressed already. But I just felt that an author who writes the opposite of erotica voices their agreement that perhaps it will have some impact…help in some way.

But wait the masses say “Bri Clark is probably your sweet name and you write under another sexy erotica name.” Actually Bri Clark is sexy as hell as far as I’m concerned and I ain’t got time to handle two dang platforms. Oh crud now I’m semiswearing and busting into my redneck slang. See how riled up? I am I’m about to go whole hogged!

*Takes a breath*

While I don’t write erotica I love the art of the written word. Not long ago Sweets were thought only as something that rotted your teeth and now authors are making strives to build the genre. And at one time other authors did the same thing for Erotica. The great thing about readers is they’re loyalty isn’t questioned such as with sports fans. There are more than enough of us to go around. Let’s not take choices from them.

As a purely passive aggressive (remember I am a southern belle. Ever heard the saying bless your heart? It’s just our way.) I approached a fellow author who writes much more spicy, wicked, delicious, witchy romance than I, KiKi Howell, and we are doing a combined blog tour. In this tour we are offering the readers the opportunity to choose one or both novels. My witchy sweet or her dark enchantress story…No matter whom they choose we just want to make a public effort to say that Why Can’t We All Just Write?

Six Sentence Sunday – 26/2/12

The Cottage in the WoodsHere’s more from my brand new release, The Cottage in the Woods.

Animals were braver in the city, where they’d become used to humans. But out here, they were still timid and very wary of man. Heidi’s little cottage was practically screaming that it was occupied, with its smoking chimney and blazing lights and yet the creature – whatever it was – was almost outside the window. Heidi frowned. Something definitely wasn’t right.

Another flash of movement, and Heidi finally identified her visitor.

New Release: The Cottage in the Woods

The Cottage in the WoodsYaaaaaay! I haz a new release! My first title with new-to-me publisher Resplendence Publishing is called The Cottage in the Woods and is an f/f paranormal erotic romance. As you can see, it has a totally luscious cover, and there are some equally luscious words hiding beneath it.

Here’s a taster of what you’ll find in the book:

Living in her remote cottage in the woods, Heidi doesn’t get many visitors. So when she spots a fox in her garden, she’s delighted. However, her joy quickly turns to dismay when she thinks the beautiful creature may be injured. Heading out to see how she can help, Heidi is astounded when something happens that makes her question her eyesight – not to mention her sanity. Once she gets over her shock and discovers the reason behind the peculiar encounter, Heidi is mighty glad that the fox chose her garden to visit.

It’s an Erotic Gem, which basically means that it’s a short story – so that also means it’s a total bargain! So, if you fancy reading about some lesbian shapeshifter action, then check out the buy links here.

Six Sentence Sunday – 19/2/12

The Cottage in the WoodsToday I’m sharing something new. Brand new, in fact! The Cottage in the Woods comes out on Wednesday from Resplendence Publishing. I hope you’ll enjoy reading snippets from this f/f shapeshifter erotic romance.

A movement in the garden caught Heidi’s attention immediately. She peered out into the dark, her hands still immersed in the washing up bowl as she tried to catch another glimpse of whatever was lurking in the darkness outside her kitchen window. She wasn’t frightened, merely curious. She lived so far out in the wilderness that it could only be an animal, and the last time she’d checked, they couldn’t open locked doors. So she was perfectly safe.

What made her nocturnal visitor so unusual was its proximity to the house.
