Show Some Love Blog Hop

Valentines Blog Hop Header

Hello and welcome to the Show Some Love blog hop, hosted by WLK Book Promotions.

I’m guessing you’re here because you love… well… love! It’s that romantic time of year, where hearts, flowers and chocolates are in abundance. This year, because of the Fifty Shades of Grey film release, there are probably handcuffs, blindfolds, whips and sex toys everywhere, too! So, how about we go for something a little bit different on this post.

How about… forbidden love? It’s a theme I’ve written about on more than one occasion, with my latest, Desert Heat, hitting digital bookshelves just a couple of weeks ago. If you enjoy M/M military/interracial erotic romance, then show some love to this…

Their love is forbidden by rules, religion and risk. Yet still they can’t resist.

Captain Hugh Wilkes is on his last tour of duty in Afghanistan. The British Army is withdrawing, and Wilkes expects his posting to be event-free. That is, until he meets his Afghan interpreter, Rustam Balkhi, who awakens desires in Wilkes that he’d almost forgotten about, and that won’t be ignored.

Please note: this book was previously published as part of the Unconditional Surrender bundle.

Here’s a snippet from the book:

It was mainly Hunter that kept him firmly in the closet. If the news reached that old bigot’s ears—and it undoubtedly would, as gossip spread like wildfire in the military—well, Wilkes didn’t really want to think about what would happen. Nothing good, anyway.

He shook his head, trying to uproot the unpleasant thoughts before they took hold. It was silly, in any case. Yes, Balkhi was kind of cute, but he was an Afghan, and a Muslim, for Christ’s sake. Both were known for being even more bigoted than his damn boss. If Wilkes came out, things wouldn’t exactly be easy—but a Muslim? Things could turn out very badly for him back home, to put it lightly. That was reason enough for any gay Muslims that existed to keep quiet about their sexuality.

It was all completely irrelevant, anyway. Balkhi was not gay. And even if he was, there was no way Wilkes was going there—it was just too risky for all those concerned. Careers, friendships, relationships and lives would be at stake.

Put it out of your mind. What the hell is wrong with you? The first sniff of a bloke you’re attracted to and you’re thinking about the consequences? Ridiculous. Forget about it and get on with your bloody job, you idiot.

My Sexy Saturday #57 – My Sexy Date #MySexySaturday

My Sexy Saturday

Welcome back to My Sexy Saturday. This is where writers post either 7 words, 7 sentences or 7 paragraphs from their published work or work in progress. I’m sharing another snippet from Desert Heat, my M/M military/interracial erotic romance. The snippet follows on from last week’s.

And it was a damn good look, in Wilkes’ opinion.

Now, as approaching scuffles, swearing and grumbling indicated they wouldn’t be alone for much longer, he shook himself from his fantasy and stepped more fully into the tent. Nodding to Balkhi as he passed, he grabbed himself a coffee. Turning back, he moved toward the table Balkhi was at. “Mind if I join you?”

The other man’s eyes widened momentarily, then he smiled, showing straight white teeth that were clearly looked after. “Of course not. Please sit down. Good morning, boss.”

Mid Week Tease: “It was all completely irrelevant, anyway. Balkhi was not gay.” #MWTease

MWTease15Hi everyone,

Welcome back to Mid Week Tease! This week, I’m sharing a tease from my just-released M/M military/interracial erotic romance novella, Desert Heat, which was originally part of the Unconditional Surrender boxed set.

Desert HeatIt was mainly Hunter that kept him firmly in the closet.

My Sexy Saturday #56 – Their Sexy Thoughts #MySexySaturday

My Sexy Saturday

Welcome back to My Sexy Saturday. This is where writers post either 7 words, 7 sentences or 7 paragraphs from their published work or work in progress, sticking to the week’s theme. This week’s theme is their sexy thoughts. I’m sharing a snippet from Desert Heat, my M/M military/interracial erotic romance, which released on Thursday.

Passing into the relative shade of the tent, he was surprised to see Balkhi there, already cradling a drink. Even more surprising was his outfit. Gone were the dish-dash and flip-flops of the day before. Now he was dressed just like the rest of them—in desert uniform and boots.

The Afghan was unaware of Wilkes’ presence for now, so he figured it was okay to allow his gaze to linger a while—admiring the fit of the t-shirt, the way the sleeves stretched just a little around the man’s biceps and across his pecs. Huh, the terp worked out—who would have thought it? Cropped dark hair, almost black topped Balkhi’s head, and a neat goatee beard completed the look.

Sneak Peek At My Upcoming Releases #erotica #romance #gay #menage

Hi all,

Some of you have been asking what else is in the pipeline from me for 2015 so far. So here goes…

Next up is Desert Heat, on the 29th January:

Desert HeatBlurb:

Their love is forbidden by rules, religion and risk. Yet still they can’t resist.

Captain Hugh Wilkes is on his last tour of duty in Afghanistan. The British Army is withdrawing, and Wilkes expects his posting to be event-free. That is, until he meets his Afghan interpreter, Rustam Balkhi, who awakens desires in Wilkes that he’d almost forgotten about, and that won’t be ignored.

Please note: this book was previously published as part of the Unconditional Surrender bundle.

You can pre-order it here: https://lucyfelthouse.co.uk/published-works/desert-heat/

After that, though I’m not 100% sure when (though it’ll be sometime in February) as there have been some changes to the release date, is Best Bondage Erotica 2015:

Blurb:

Rachel Kramer Bussel was at the vanguard of this new era of BDSM. Always a step ahead of the zeitgeist, this award-winning editor knows your private fetishes a lot better than you do. Now that 2 million readers are bondage curious, thanks to the runaway popularity of the Fifty Shades series, Rachel can help them explore their fantasies and realize their deepest desires.

This anthology contains my story, Trinity’s New Hobby. I was challenged to write an erotic story about knitting… challenge accepted and completed! 🙂

You can pre-order it here: https://lucyfelthouse.co.uk/published-works/best-bondage-erotica-2015/

Also in February, but without a definite release date, is Uniform Fetish: Manlove Edition. This is an anthology from Evernight Publishing, which contains my story, Fired Up. I wrote my first fireman for this story – though, unsurprisingly, there are some military references, too. You know me and my soldier boys 😉

No blurb yet, but a delicious cover! I’ll post an excerpt on the book’s page when I’ve completed edits. I’m nestled between the covers of this book alongside Elizabeth Monvey, Nicola Cameron, Gale Stanley, James Cox, Pelaam, Tamsin Baker, L.D. Blakeley and Lilith Duvalier. It promises to be a steamy collection of M/M uniform erotic romance, all right!

There is also a secret project coming very, very soon from The Brit Babes. We’re still busily scribbling away on our smutty stories, and we don’t have a book cover yet, but let’s just say it’ll be available in time for when “that film” comes out, and leave it at that… 😉

After that, I don’t have much information on exact release dates for things, but here’s a sneak peek of the gorgeous book covers I have so far…

Happy Reading!
