Happy Monday!

Hi everyone! Well, it’s not even lunchtime on a Monday and already it’s shaping up to be an exciting week! After last week’s holiday (tons of photos on Facebook for those who are interested) I’m now busily catching up on various things to do with my writing as well as doing client work. But this morning’s excitement has been caused by the following:

A Bit of Rough

My first Noble Romance publication, A Bit of Rough, is now available! I’m really excited to be working with Noble who so far have been great. And, as you can see, they do great covers! *rawr* Find out more about A Bit of Rough here, or go directly to its page on Noble Romance and get your grubby hands on it. It’s also on Goodreads, so don’t forget to add it to your bookshelves!

Dream Lover: Paranormal Tales of Erotic Romance

Secondly, my author copy of Dream Lover: Paranormal Tales of Erotic Romance arrived! My first Cleis Press publication, edited by Kristina Wright. My story, Succubus Comes Home features with stories from greats such as Justine Elyot, Shanna Germain, Saskia Walker, Nikki Magennis and Kate Pearce to name but a few – so I’m incredibly excited and honoured to be a part of it. I can’t wait to start reading! I believe it’s widely available in the States already, but UK peeps will have to wait until later in the month, but you can pre-order on Amazon.

Now, where are my copies of Best of Both? *taps foot impatiently*

Happy Monday, everyone!

Site Changes

Some of you may have noticed there have been some site and email outages over the past couple of days. This is due to the site moving servers. Hopefully, everything is working as it should now.

If you sent me an email during this time and it bounced – please re-send it, as I didn’t receive it.

Also, if you have any links on your own sites to pages within this site (i.e. not the homepage) then your links are wrong. Generally, if you look at the link and it says ‘index.php’ anywhere, then you need to remove this portion and it should work. To be sure, use the search box or the sitemap to find the page and grab the new link.

I’m so sorry for all the inconvenience but the new host is much improved and will result in a faster and more reliable website on the whole!

Thanks,

Lucy 🙂

A Weekend of Smut and Books

Well, what an eventful weekend! I have spent the majority of it in London, having an awesome time.

The main reason for my visit was to descend on the lovely ladies at Sh! Women’s Erotic Emporium and do a reading at their Portobello store.

The reading was a combined event, with myself, Rebecca Bond and Victoria Blisse promoting Uniform Behaviour, and Kay Jaybee reading from her two latest releases, The Perfect Submissive and Yes Ma’am. It was a star studded event, with attendances from K D Grace, Lexie Bay and Lily Harlem, to name but a few.

Kay began the proceedings with a fabulous reading from The Perfect Submissive. She was followed by Rebecca, who read from the delicious Sin City. Then Victoria and I read from our stories, Dirty Deeds and Just Couldn’t Wait. The readings were punctuated by pink champagne and yummy cakes, which is always appreciated.

All in all, despite some travel mayhem, a fabulous evening was had by all.

Then today, I headed for the London Book Fair with Rebecca Bond and K D Grace. We did the rounds, checking out stands and lusting over books. We also did an awful lot of chatting and setting the world to rights. We headed to the Xcite Books stand and had a natter with the lovely Hazel Cushion and also bumped into Maxim Jakubowski, who asked how the Sh! reading had gone – I truly have had a star studded weekend! OK, I met not have met a famous actor or musician, but the people I have had the privilege of meeting and talking to are a damn sight more interesting!

So as you can see – I’ve had an incredibly busy weekend and am ready to drop! Will be posting pics over the next couple of days when I’ve had chance to download them from my camera and catch up on emails! 🙂

The First Day of the Rest of My Life

As some of you know already, I’m currently on tenterhooks. My New Year’s Resolution this year was to quit my job. And I did it. I’m going it alone as of February 1st!

For part of the time I’ll be writing both fiction and non-fiction. So keep your eye out for new releases – some of the first being The Great Outdoors Volume 2 and I Kissed A Girl: A Virgin Lesbian Anthology Volume 2.

For the rest of the time I will be doing something else I’m good at. For the past four and a half years my day job has been PR & Marketing. So I decided to use that expertise by running my own business – albeit the only employee will be yours truly. I’ve labelled my business Writer Marketing, as most of my clients will be writers, but that doesn’t mean that I won’t work for people that aren’t writers.

Some of this will be creating websites; as you can see from this portfolio I’ve already got a few under my belt! Also, I’ll be doing PR for new releases. This will involve getting reviews, new release coverage, guest blog spots and so on to promote the authors in question and their work. I’m also available to help out with more marketing based stuff, including writing blurbs, social networking and the like. So I’m a bit of a Jill-of-all-trades – within PR & Marketing, at any rate!

So check out the Writer Marketing website, which goes into more detail. And if you think there’s anything I can help you out with, please give me a shout. I’ll answer any queries I can. Feel free to pass this information to anyone you think will find it useful.

Wish me luck!

ANOTHER Fab Review for The Great Outdoors!

The Great OutdoorsWell, what an exciting weekend! I’ve had a couple of fantastic pre-release reviews of Uniform Behaviour (more on that closer to the time), AND after stalking my Amazon sales stats for The Great Outdoors, I spotted another review….

This review came from “Avid book reader”:

Titillating and blatantly steamy, the author has a bold voice and an intimate understanding of what makes the pulse tick and the juices flow in the erotica genre. *Fans self.* The only reason I haven’t given this a full five stars is because it’s two short works and I’m greedy and wanted more time with those characters. The Great Outdoors is an uber-hot combo read and I’m looking forward to longer work from this author.

So, that’s just put the cherry on the top of my weekend – so thank you to my pre-release readers, you know who you are. And also many thanks to “Avid book reader”, whoever you are.

If this cool review has made you want a copy of The Great Outdoors for yourself, then check out this page to see where you can grab a copy.

K D Grace’s Book Launch at Sh! Hoxton

Last Friday, I attended the launch of K D Grace’s wonderful new novel, The Initiation of Ms Holly, at the Hoxton branch of Sh! Women’s Erotic Emporium.  It was the first time I’d met K D, though we’d previously done lots of chatting via email and Facebook – and it was lovely to finally meet her face to face!

I also met Kay Jaybee (another fab erotic author) for the first time, and also caught up with Sarah Berry (editor of Foreplay Magazine) and Hazel Cushion (owner of Xcite Books). There was champagne and cupcakes, sex toys galore to set the scene, and of course, K D’s wonderful reading…

K D Grace

I don’t want to give too much away about the book, but you can see an excerpt over on Erotica For All. I’ve heard the excerpt read aloud, as well as a couple of other sections of the book, and let me tell you… it’s a red-hot read! I’ll be reviewing it soon enough, so watch this space if you don’t believe me!

So, what with all the networking…

…and erotic fiction… a fabulous evening was had by all!

My congratulations go to K D – and I hope to be able to attend similar cool events in the future!
