Another Fab Review of The Great Outdoors!

The Great Outdoors22nd August 2010 – Fabulous news – eBook Addict reviewed my little antho, The Great Outdoors, and they liked it!

Here’s what they had to say:

The two short stories offered in The Great Outdoors was a walk on the wild side or more accurately two hikes down a fun erotic path of adventurous sex. “A Birds Eye View” and “Fun in the Forest” are tales of eager and uninhibited heroines taking advantage of serendipitous events that afford them uniquely different sexual interludes. “A Bird’s Eye View” was a hot charge of adrenalin that ended on an embarrassingly funny note.  I could see this happening in reality. “Fun in the Forest” is the longer of the two works (though the entire offering is only about 12 pages long) and my favorite.  A Scottish gamekeeper helping a damsel in distress conjured erotic images of Gerard Butler and a mature Sean Connery for me. What can I say?  It’s that accent, yummy!  British colloquialism/verbiage “…a good seeing to” and “doodle” put me in the appropriate frame of mind and setting and I was in the thick of the adventures in no time. The Great Outdoors is a quick fun read I thoroughly enjoyed.  Rule Britannia, Ms. Felthouse!

Justine

Overall, lots of nice compliments for my work and the highlight of my day. Can I get a squee??

P.S. If you haven’t got your copy yet, check out my Published Works page for the buy links. Or, if you’re a reviewer, please give me a shout and I can send you a copy in return for a review!

Yay – Lovely Review of The Great Outdoors!

Well, today has been a very nice day indeed! The lovely Justine Elyot reviewed my lil eBook The Great Outdoors on Smashwords! Here’s what she had to say:

No chance of the characters in Lucy Felthouse’s pair of outdoor-themed erotic stories catching a chill! These girls know exactly how to warm up. The first story, Bird’s Eye View, is a deliciously explicit account of an unexpected opportunity for some voyeurism – and it CRIES OUT for a sequel. I, for one, would love to know what happens during Karla and Tom’s woodland stroll. In Fun In The Forest, Anna rejects a team-building exercise in favour of a little one-on-one with a sexy burly Scots woodsman. It’s all good dirty fun and has certainly inspired me to take a tramp in my local woods as soon as possible.

I’m officially squee-ing!! The book costs just $1.49 on Smashwords, which works out at less than £1! Bargain. It’s also available on Kindle, for $3.51 (Amazon’s idea, not mine!), which is about £2.30. So if you’re looking for some outdoors smut, you’ve come to the right place!

In other good news, I found out that a story of mine has been accepted for publication by Ravenous Romance! You may remember I had a story accepted last year in their lesbian anthology, I Kissed A Girl? Well, this time, my story Shattered Resistance is going into supernatural anthology Fangbangers. I’m very, very excited – I had a peek through the manuscript and let’s just say I’m in very good company! I’m not sure of the release date yet,  but I’ll be sure and let you know as soon I do!

Right, onto my next story… a non-erotic love story, believe it or not. Just an experiment, don’t worry – I haven’t gone mad (any more than usual, anyway).

The Great Outdoors – Now Available on Smashwords.com!

The Great Outdoors19th May 2010 – Exciting news – my mini-book, The Great Outdoors, is available now on Smashwords.com! Containing two erotic short stories based around the outdoors, the eBook is just $3.99, which works out at roughly £2.70!

Just to get you in the mood, here’s a small sample of what to expect when you (hopefully) buy your copy:

Now Karla was truly dumbfounded. Here she was, relaxing after a busy week at work and trying to forget her troubles – or rather lack of them – with the opposite sex, when suddenly a live sex show was playing out in front of her!

Karla didn’t know what to do. She thought it would be rather too late to announce her presence as they’d been at it long enough for her to have said something by now. No, she should just say nothing and sit it out, hoping and praying that they didn’t look up and see her perched in the trees. The girl was really going for it by now, pumping away at his cock like a woman possessed. Her boyfriend was obviously enjoying himself, he’d clearly forgotten where he was and was moaning and groaning as he tangled his hands in her hair and thrust his member deeper down her throat.

So, go on, what are you waiting for? Grab your copy of The Great Outdoors now – and please let me know what you think!

Christmas, New Year and Updates

4th January 2010 – Firstly, Happy New Year to you all! Hope you celebrated it how you wanted, whether it be with family, friends or by yourself. I personally had a quiet one in with the other half and midnight passed without much ado.

Christmas was a more traumatic affair, with lots of eating, seeing people and driving about. However, I got some cool presents, and some howlers. Amongst the coolest:

  • Spa vouchers
  • Books, including Ant & Dec’s autobiography, the True Blood box set and some more vampy ones
  • DVDs, including series one and two of Supernatural, which I’m now completely hooked on. I’ve since been out and grabbed series three on the cheap and am on the lookout for series four
  • Pyjamas and slippers, which for a comfort-lover like me, is heaven
  • Chocolate – ’nuff said

I can’t remember everything, and I’m sure I’ve missed something, but you get the idea. There were also smellies, socks, etc, etc. Supernatural has to be the most surprising present. Although it was on my list and therefore not a complete surprise, my reaction to it has been. I was pretty confident I’d like it, given recommendations I’d had – but I am soooo hooked! Of course, the lovely Jensen Ackles certainly helps – he’s very easy on the eye. And, if you agree, you might want to stop by tomorrow, there may be a little something here you’ll enjoy 😉

Over the weekend I had a huge clearout, with a lot of help from the other half. I have completely decluttered my study room, which was six bags of rubbish, and my bedroom, which was a further six. If you include the two bags of shredded paper… well, it doesn’t take a genius. I knew it was bad, but even I was surprised how much I got rid of. I’d hoarded stuff like my old uni work. I don’t need hard copies as it’s all saved – not that I even really need that, I’m unlikely to ever read it again! There was all kinds of other crap; and in my bedroom, tons of clothes that didn’t fit. I even got rid of a few books. So I’ve been down the tip recycling and charity shops too. So my clearout has decluttered my living space and also donated to charity – double dose of the feelgood factor!

And on that note, onto my New Year’s Resolutions:

  • Do not let my bedroom and study get that full of crap again
  • Lose weight – once all the Christmas snacks have been devoured, I’m cutting the crap. And when the weather gets a bit warmer, I’ll be doing more walking
  • No buying books. Having scoured the study top to bottom, I realised just how many books I have, and it’s a lot. Though they’re no longer teetering piles all over the place, I still know they’re there. I must get reading
  • More writing. Excuses do not a published writer make. I have tons of submissions I want to make, so I’m going to try harder. And blogging doesn’t count

Sex, Love and Valentines

Last, and certainly not least, this lovely book is available soon. Sex, Love and Valentines, containing my story E620 is out this month. According to Amazon, it’ll be available from the 11th. However, you can pre-order your copy now, by clicking here. I also know that the book contains stories from the wonderful Charlotte Stein and Justine Elyot, and I’m delighted to be nestling between the covers with them! Charlotte’s story is entitled Dirty Boy, and Justine’s The Heart-Shaped Box. Both sound delicious, I can’t wait to get my hands on a copy!

Don’t forget to check in tomorrow for some hot totty!

Erotica 2009 ‘n Stuff

27th November 2009 – Apologies for not blogging much of late, but I’ve been a busy bee! I’m still in the process of moving the Fantasy Nuggets blog of old over to this site, and I’ve been tweaking bits and bobs that I wasn’t happy with. I’m finally happy with my Links page – I’ve amalgamated my erotic and non-erotic links. I doubt very much I’m going to offend anyone, as chances are if they’re visiting my site, they’ve already got a fair idea of what they’re going to find.

I’ve also imported all my RSS feeds into Outlook, because I’ve seriously dropped out of the whole blog-reading thing due to not finding a feed reader I was happy with. This way, the stories pop into my inbox as they’re posted, meaning I’ll be back up to speed on people’s blogs and commenting away!

In writing news, my exciting news of recent times is the publication of Temptations Vol. 2 – an Xcite book with a tasty man on the front cover and one of my stories nestling between the covers! There’s even a tiny extract from my story on the back cover…

It appeared the posh boy was also deliciously dirty…

Hopefully that’ll draw you in enough to make the purchase – go on, it’s only £2.99 – purchase link [intlink id=”953″ type=”page”]here[/intlink].

I’m working on lots of new stories –  but not in the most productive way. I seem to keep starting stories, then starting something else – so I’m getting nothing finished! So I must make some headway and send things off. It’ll soon be time to put out calls for submission for the Cars & Girls issue of Bunnie, which I’m guest-editing, so I won’t have so much time for writing when the closing date rolls around!

Finally, I was at Erotica last weekend. In good old London town, at Olympia, to be precise. I knew it had been scaled down from last year, but I was still quite surprised. It’s only the second time I’ve been, and last year I was there on the Saturday, rather than Sunday, but it was very quiet. There weren’t many stands, there was a lot of space between them, and visitors were thin on the ground. There just wasn’t much of a buzz (pardon the pun). So that was a little disappointing, but it did give me chance for a good look around without having to push through crowds.

Which brings me to the two most interesting parts of my visit. I got to see my good friend Jackie Adshead, erotic artist. No – let me rephrase that – fabulous erotic artist. Jackie’s headline art (can you call it that, I’m not sure – you know what I mean!) this year was her Fantasy Fannies. And yes, they’re exactly what you think they are. Close up paintings of lady bits. But far from being graphic, they’re painted in such a way that they’re almost abstract. So if you were to buy one and put in on your living room wall, nobody would instantly know what it was. Of course, the smuttier-minded ones amongst us (and I’m guessing you’re one, or you wouldn’t be here) would guess, but depending on their level of politeness, wouldn’t say anything. Not being arty, I’m probably doing a rubbish job at describing them, so just head on over to her website and take a look. And, if you ask her nicely, she’ll do a painting of yours. 🙂

Secondly, I got to meet a man whose name is legendary in erotic writing circles – Adam Nevill. He was with the lovely Hazel Cushion on the Xcite stand. I was lucky to catch up with him, meet him in the flesh and have a good old chinwag. It’s nice to meet people for real because you tend to have more ‘normal’ conversations about anything and everything – whereas when you’re emailing someone in a work capacity, you just get to the point. So that was a highlight of my day – that and seeing all those lovely Xcite books displayed so prominently with Hazel looking proudly on. So she should – joking aside it’s a fabulous range with lovely bright eye-catching covers and totally sexy writing. And with the passing of Black Lace, it’s just going from strength to strength and it’s something I’m delighted to be a part of. Nice work, Xcite!
