Sometimes one plus one equals three
Why should soul mate be singular? Can one person really satisfy every need and desire?
Triad is a compilation of erotic romance tales about threesomes – not fleeting, lust-driven ménage a trois encounters but stable, loving relationships that involve three people. A long-married couple’s ardor is rekindled when another man seduces each of them in turn. A lonely, embittered vampire finds redemption in the arms of his two young victims. A mistletoe kiss reawakens passion between old friends, until Suzanne discovers Gino already has a life partner. An alien pair offers love and immortality to the only survivor of a interstellar disaster.
Steamy and explicit, unapologetically romantic, Triad celebrates the joys of three-way polyamory.

Excerpt (From Once Upon a Blizzard)
Suzanne had never seen stars so bright. The night sky was a black bowl above them, studded with blazing jewels. The snow blanketing the yard gleamed with some faint inner radiance. At the edges of the property, evergreens clustered in deeper shadow like silent sentinels.
She took a deep breath of the crystalline air, so cold and sharp it hurt her lungs. The tiny hairs inside her nose stood on end. Her earlobes felt like icicles. From the neck down, though, she was bathed in delicious warmth. The bizarre contrast almost made her giggle.
Smooth, hard muscle brushed her thigh. After a moment, roving fingers skittered across her lap and burrowed into her pubic fur. A fiery bolt of lust struck her core.
“Gino!” she scolded. “Behave!”
“Why should I?” asked her lover, rubbing his body against hers under the surface of the water. “Harry doesn’t mind. Do you?”
The lanky blond on Gino’s other flank grinned. “Not at all. Long as you keep up what you’re doing over here, that is.”
Harris had untied his ponytail. His golden locks flowed over his shoulders, darkening to sepia where wet. With his thin face and chiseled features, he looked like some warrior ascetic, a knight on a quest for some sacred prize. Suzanne could understand why Gino found him attractive. She wondered whether he really was one-hundred percent gay.
Leaning back against the redwood wall and closing her eyes, she allowed the peace of the night to enfold her. Her limbs were heavy. Her heart felt as though it was about to overflow.
The growl of motors and a rattling of metal reached her ears. Gino’s solar-heated hot tub was at the back of the house, away from the street. Still, the faint noise shattered the intense quiet of the snow-smothered night.
“Plows,” said Harris, cocking his head in the direction of the sound. “At last.” He pointed to the cloudless sky. “Looks like they were wrong about more snow, though.”
“We’ll drive you over to Pelham early tomorrow morning,” Gino added. “Actually, the highway department might have towed your car already. We’ll call first, assuming we’ve got power. Anyway, don’t worry, you’re likely to be well on your way back home by tomorrow afternoon.”
Home. Suzanne didn’t want to think about California—her neat, modern, empty condo, all the problems and decisions awaiting her at work, the bland weather and the vacant sky.
“There’s no rush,” she said finally. “I’m going to miss my Monday appointment anyway. But thank you.” She squeezed Gino’s hand. “For everything.”
Now, despite all that they had done together, she found she was shy. Steam drifted up in pale swirls from the heated surface of the water. Underneath, she could barely make out the shape of their naked limbs. “I’m going to miss you,” she murmured finally. “Both of you.”
“You’ll be back for Christmas, though, won’t you?” Gino’s eyes were shadowed but Suzanne understood the yearning she’d see there, if there were more light.
“Maybe…” she began. She imagined another holiday with her parents, pleasant but predictable. They wouldn’t mind if she disappeared after the opening of the presents. And suddenly she couldn’t bear the thought of not being with Gino again, very soon. “Yes. I’ll be back. I promise.”
“Wonderful.” Gino pulled her into a kiss that made her heart pound and her pussy tremble. “You can stay over, you know,” he added when he finally released her. “You can stay for as long as you want.”
“The house has six bedrooms,” Harris commented. “Way more space than we need.”
“Yeah—even with my office and Harry’s studio, there are two rooms we barely use.”
“We do have broadband Internet, by the way. Even if we don’t have mobile service.”
“There’s a local limo company that can get you to Logan in two hours. Harry uses it when he has an exhibition in New York…”
“This is freak weather,” Harris interrupted. “Most winters we don’t get much snow.”
“And the summers here are glorious, green everywhere, bright sun and lingering twilights, fresh sweet corn and luscious home-grown tomatoes…”
“I know!” Suzanne couldn’t keep from laughing. “I grew up here, remember?”
“I thought that maybe you’d forgotten,” said Gino, his voice soft.
“No,” she replied, flush with a recollection of the loyal, clever tease he’d been in school. “I remember very well.”

Excerpt:
One week after her horrific night of fun, Bethany stretches in her bed, the sunshine’s warmth comforting her. She thinks about her interview. The reminder of her last few causes her to cringe with embarrassment. She was so nervous and fumbled over her answers, then in the end, didn’t get the internships. She wrings her hands together as she thinks about the day’s interview.
She tells herself, “Get it together.”
Gathering her robe and towel from the chair in the corner of her small bedroom, Bethany treks toward the bathroom, turning on the water in the shower before digging her soap and shampoo out of the hallway closet. Easing her toe into the stall to see if the water is the right temperature, she shivers at the frigidness but jumps in anyway. She has no time to waste. Maybe the coolness of the water will make her more mentally alert. She prepares for the interview, answering any potential interview questions, and giving perfect answers while scrubbing her body. Not wanting to stay under the cold water any longer than necessary, she wraps herself in her robe with a sigh and walks back to her room.
She takes a deep breath after looking at the clock on the nightstand. She calculates how much time she needs to dress and walk the few blocks to the office building. She chooses a skirt and blouse that is comfortable. Her hands shake while placing the outfit choices on her bed. She places them next to her “interview” dress and black chunky heels. With both outfits side by side, she looks at her selections and thinks, “It looks like I am going to a funeral.” Which is what’s going to happen if she doesn’t get this job. She hates second-guessing herself. She groans to herself, takes another deep breath, and tries not to forget all of her interview techniques.
“Tiffany, did you leave for class yet?” Bethany yells into the hallway, which is met with silence.
Tiffany could have at least said goodbye before she left. Her roommate would know exactly which outfit would look the best on her. She wore a blouse and skirt with a blazer at the last interview, so she decides to wear the black dress this time.
With the dress on, she looks in the floor-length mirror and squints at her reflection while turning from side to side. She needs something to liven it up. A purple scarf hangs from out of her top dresser drawer. Bethany grabs it, looking at the deep purple against the black dress, thinking it looks perfect. She pulls her hair back in a professional bun and applies a touch of foundation, and a dab of pink lip gloss to her full lips. The professional and put-together woman who stares back at her in the mirror at her vanity is not the nerdy, college student she is accustomed to seeing.
On her way out the door, Bethany grabs her purse and portfolio with a few copies of her resume inside. The small office is in one of the buildings two blocks from the apartment. Before closing the door, she takes a look at the clock and sees there is plenty of time to make the short walk. She glances at her phone one last time reading the address and the contact information. She reads the address and name of Daniel Rossi as she descends the steps of her apartment to take a deep breath of the fresh air. To pass the time on her walk, Bethany thinks of every possible greeting she could use.
“Hello, Mr. Rossi. This office is very impressive.”
“Hello, Mr. Rossi. I like what you have done with Remembering Katie’s Legacy.”
The only problem is she didn’t know much about the foundation. Bethany’s advisor caught her off guard when she had to reschedule the interview twice. Last night she had a paper to finish for her business class. She didn’t have a lot of time to research the company or the President. Her advisor told her it was a startup and there wasn’t much more information in her email. When she tried to look for information about the foundation, there was very little on their website. The website hasn’t been updated and it looked like it was in the beginning stages of development.

Excerpt:
Fire crackled in the hearth to the left of Eliza’s reading chair. She sunk into the upholstered velvet as the flames danced in an array of oranges, reds, and yellows. The years of use had made it slightly rough. Lost within the pages of a book was all she could think of to distract herself from the war just outside the palace walls. The coarse pages of a tome beneath her fingertips usually quelled her worries in an instant, but in that moment, it did nothing to calm the anxiety roiling in her belly like the sea in a hurricane.
It was all too close for comfort.
She couldn’t help but think of the townspeople who hadn’t made it within the gates in time. Did they have somewhere to hide? Did they have any means of protection? Her father had kept the palace open for as long as possible, but was it enough?
Eliza closed her eyes as she remembered the unbridled terror she felt when she saw the enemy soldiers marching over the horizon. All of Catalina knew about the Poison Queen of Mineros. Those who became her enemy were wiped from the face of the earth within a few short weeks. And she was often in search of enemies simply for the sake of fighting.
In a way, Eliza pitied her. How awful did someone’s upbringing have to be if they found joy from war? She simply could not fathom how horrid it had to be inside her mind if needless slaughter was what brought her ultimate happiness.
Eliza stood, sliding her feet into her slippers lined with cushiony rabbit fur. The Princess hugged her arms around herself, feeling as though she should be in armor instead of a nightgown thinner than the parchment of her beloved books. She tugged at the bottom hem of her gown, the pesky thing insisting on riding up her thighs. Her body mirrored that of her mother’s. Where Queen Armina was blessed with a bosom that had Princes fawning over her at Eliza’s age, the Princess had been given a lower half that made dress fittings incredibly tedious.
As she made her way to bed, the floor shook beneath her feet. Gray dust fell from the ceiling and coated the many cheery, yellow decorations in her room. As she shook the layer of grime from her white hair, her lungs began to burn. In moments, her safespace had been reduced to a battle zone. Her father had warned her about the possibility of enemies infiltrating the castle.
His warning rang clear in her mind, “As my heir, I will never lie to you. The walls could be breached. If such happens, I trust you to keep your sister safe.”
Although she might’ve been young, Eliza was far from naive. She knew what she had to do. Her entire body shook as she shuffled to the door of her room. The once serene firelight emanating from the stone fireplace now reminded her of the fiery pits of the underworld. With a trembling hand, the cold iron of the arched handle bit into her palm like the tiny fangs of a snake. She pulled it open only slightly, heart pounding in her ears, as she listened for any sign of the enemy.
The clinking of armor inched closer by the second, so Eliza waited.
I have to get to Dina. I won’t let them hurt her.
She felt as if she had waited for hours, her palm growing sweaty on the handle. Finally, two soldiers jogged past her door, their armor a sickly shade of green.
Eliza’s eyes rounded, her chest heaving with fear. As soon as they turned the corner out of sight, she made a break for it. The setting sun cascaded through frosted windows as she ran. Every few seconds her face was bathed in the fiery light of battle. As a child, she believed bad things only occurred when the sun fell and the moon had taken its place. She believed nightmares could only happen when she was sleeping.
This nightmare was all too real.
The Princess furiously pumped her arms as she sprinted toward her sister’s room. Her feet slipped out of her shoes causing her to stumble. She squeezed her hands around the rough stone of the nearest door frame for support, taking only a second to catch her breath.
On any other day, their rooms never seemed so far apart. But as she willed herself back into motion, she couldn’t get there fast enough.
What if they’ve already found her?
