Another New Release and An Awesome Giveaway

Hi everyone,

Things are hectic here in Felthouse Towers – but I like being busy, so it’s all good šŸ˜€

I just found out that my erotic romance novella, A French Affair, has been put into a collection along with two others fromĀ Seren Ellis-Owen and Zara Stoneley. The collection is called In Too Deep and has just been released as an eBook, and will be available in paperback format from January. What’s so brilliant, though, is that you can buy all three novellas in the anthology cheaper than buying them separately – so you’re bagging a bargain!

Here’s the information on In Too Deep:

hree hot romance novellas that take the reader from the depths of the ocean to the heights of ecstasy. Sail with the dive team whose passions erupt in and out of the water, take a trip to Paris, the most romantic city in the world, and meet a feisty restaurant critic whose life needs the spice only a sultry Spaniard can provide. Fall in love again and again with the sensual stories in this collection.

Features stories by Seren Ellis-Owen, Lucy Felthouse and Zara Stoneley

In Too Deep by Seren Ellis-Owen
Newly single and fired from her job, scuba instructor Carys heads to the Red Sea to work on a luxury dive yacht. She soon finds herself attracted to its captain, the gorgeous Zaid, and the feeling is mutual ā€“ but, as heā€™s under pressure to put duty before pleasure, their budding romance soon sails into stormy waters. And thatā€™s before her ex arrives, with a girlfriend from hell in tow, to stir things up even more. Can Carys handle all the complications and unfinished business ā€“ or has she sunk out of her depth this time?

A French Affair by Lucy Felthouse
Sydney Tyler is renting a barn conversion in Northern France, planning to spend the fortnight getting some words down on her novel. Unfortunately, construction work in the other half of the building puts an end to her peace and quiet. Genuinely upset that the builders are going to disturb her, the propertyā€™s handsome English owner, Harry Bay, offers to make it up to her. Heā€™s a little flirtatious, and after spotting his wedding ring, Sydney keeps him at armā€™s length. Sexy as he is, she has no intention of getting involved with a married man. But when Sydney learns the truth about Harry, will their mutual attraction spur them on to work through their emotional baggage and make this more than just a French affair?

Spice It Up by Zara Stoneley
Food critic Ellie Chiltern isnā€™t happy when sheā€™s sent to review Pinchos tapas bar, the waiter is more Birmingham than Barcelona and the tapas are as lukewarm as her last relationship. Sheā€™s struggling to find a positive, until sheā€™s confronted by the only authentic piece of Spain in the bar ā€“ Lucas. When Lucas Martinez sees Ellie, he realises she could be the final nail in the coffin ā€“ or the ideal person to help turn the place and its image around. But persuading her to trust him isnā€™t easy ā€“ especially when thereā€™s something burning between them thatā€™s far spicier than the food ever was.

My Sexy Saturday #4 – #MySexySaturday

My Sexy Saturday

Welcome back to My Sexy Saturday. This is where writers post either 7 words, 7 sentences or 7 paragraphs from their published work or work in progress, sticking to the week’s theme. The theme is characters falling in love. So here’s a snippet from A French Affair,Ā my erotic romance novella.

By the time she finished, Harry had slipped from beneath her and switched on the bedside lamp. He tugged the covers from under their bodies and threw them over the top, covering her up, then gathering her to him and holding her tight.

ā€œListen to me, sweetheart. I canā€™t stop you thinking those things. I know I canā€™t, and it drives me crazy. But I guess I can understand why youā€™re thinking them. Itā€™s different when a wife or a husband dies to when they separate or divorce. And Iā€™ve always been up front with you about how I felt about Shelly. But you have to remember that when I removed my wedding ring, I also threw away the part of me that was clinging onto the past. Sheā€™s gone, sheā€™ll always be gone. But equally, a part of her lives on in Marcus and Roxanne and in our hearts and memories.ā€

He paused.

ā€œBut, thatā€™s nothing for you to worry about. I canā€™t wipe her out, I wouldnā€™t want to. But what I do want to do is spend the rest of my life with you. Create more memories together. Me and you. Hopefully one day, the kids too. As a family. Maybe even have a kid or two of our own. Sydney, I know itā€™s been a ridiculously short amount of time, but youā€™ve stolen my heart. Really made me want to move on, to be with someone else. To be happy. I donā€™t want to scare the shit out of you, but I think Iā€™m falling for you. Itā€™s been so long that Iā€™ve almost forgotten what it feels like. But Iā€™m pretty sure thatā€™s whatā€™s happening.ā€

A tear slipped from the corner of Sydneyā€™s eye and rolled down the side of her face and into the pillow beneath her head. She wasnā€™t quite sure why sheā€™d begun to cry, but she figured it was happiness, not sadness, that was inspiring such emotion in her. So she decided to let it be. Happiness was to be embraced, encouraged, and she hoped that sheā€™d find a great deal more of it with Harry.

ā€œIā€™m falling for you, too, Harry.ā€

ā€œWell,ā€ he said, holding her tighter and shifting so his lips were just millimetres from hers, ā€œthank fuck for that.ā€

Smut by the Sea – Scarborough Will Never Be the Same!

The journey to Scarborough was hellish due to something happening on the A1 (M), but boy was it worth it! After dumping bags and a speedy change of clothes, it was to the Black Lion for drinks and jollity. It wasn’t too late a night because the next day was going to be busy, but it was very fun!

Saturday morning dawned noisily with the seagulls we all wanted to shoot, and we headed over to the library to help set up. Then we sneaked off for breakfast and came back in time for the doors to be opened to the public. From then on, there was hardly time to breathe as Victoria kicked off with an introduction, then myself, Tabitha Rayne and Rachel Kincaid did some reading. I started the audience off gently with a nice sweet passage from A French Affair. I thought it was a little early for full on raunch! The other two girls more than made up for it with some hot steampunk and a naughty tale of premature ejaculation šŸ˜‰

There was a break, and the next reading panel consisted of Ashley Lister, Lexie Bay, K D Grace reading as Grace Marshall and Jennifer Denys. I have to say that I’m not a fan of poetry, but Ashley Lister’s funny poems are more than enough to change my mind. Lovely Lexie read a passage from her story in Coming Together: With Curves, Grace Marshall got us hot under the collar with a snippet of sexiness in a lift, and last but not least, Jennifer had us all giggling with a very humorous piece from one of her books.

Next up was another break, whereby Victoria and I told people to come and grab us if they had any questions. It was an opportunity to check up on the bookstall and the erotic tombola, very capably manned by mine and Victoria’s respective other halves.

Slave Nano then launched his very naughty BDSM novel, Adventures in Fetishland, which involved some fabulous costumes: The Mad Hatter, The Red Queen and the Dormouse, to name just a few. This was certainly not smut for the faint-hearted!

The next section was a panel consisting of myself, Victoria, Ashley Lister and K D Grace in which we answered questions on writing erotica and getting it published. As always, no one wanted to ask the first question, but once someone did we were fielding queries left, right and centre. I hope we provided people with lots of useful information!

Next was the afternoon’s final reading section with Janine Ashbless, Liv Honeywell, Domitri Xavier and Gemma Parkes. I must confess I wasn’t in the room for this one as I was rushing around sorting out other things, but I have it on very good authority that the readings were excellent.

The break between daytime and evening events was next, and myself and my other half dashed out into the Scarborough sun/rain/sun/rain pattern for a play on the 2p machines, some candy floss and a chip cob. Then it was back up the hill to the library.

The evening event was ticketed and people were supplied with swag bags, free drinks and nibbles, and much more. Unfortunately, the burlesque act for the evening had car trouble and so Victoria did some skilful juggling of the schedule and everyone was still suitably entertained.

There were readings from Smut by the Sea Volume 1, Smut by the Sea Volume 2, Smut in the City and Slave Nano read from Adventures in Fetishland, Gemma Parkes treated us to another snippet of a hot story and K D Grace read from The Pet Shop. There was also time for more questions and giggles, then it was time to call it a night. Well, sort of.

Many people stayed behind to help pack up and we did it in such record time that Victoria and Kev had to wait for the caretaker to arrive, while the rest of us carted stuff back to the hotel and got freshened up. Then we headed back to the Black Lion for buffet, drinks and karaoke. It was a pretty messy night, it has to be said. It included me singing karaoke (an X-Factor hopeful I am not) with Tabitha Rayne, sausage rolls being thrown, breadsticks, Strongbow, vodka and balloons. There are still photographs emerging here and there and let’s just say not a single one of them is sensible!

I had a fabulous time overall, was happy to meet up with buddies that live all over the country and meet some people I’d not met before, notably Tilly Hunter, who also stepped in to read. She says it was her first time, but she was so good I’m not convinced! Kerry-Ann McDade gets a very special mention as she travelled all the way from Northern Ireland to be with us. I also had a great time chatting with the Crowned Jewels folk, Anna Sky, a lovely lady called Bea, the owner of Cupido Magazine (a Norwegian magazine that’s featured one of my stories), and many other people I’m sure I’ve forgotten. There were also people I didn’t get much chance to talk to, but hopefully there will be many more chances in future as Victoria and Kevin take the UK by storm with their Smut by the Sea and Smut in the City events. Here’s to next time, guys!

Hump Day Hook No. 17 #HDH

humpdayhookHi everyone and welcome to Hump Day Hook, which is basically where authors post a paragraph from a WIP or a published work to show it off to the world. This week, I’m sharing a snippet from my just released erotic romance novella, A French Affair. It follows on directly from last week’s, so you know what happened next šŸ˜‰ Next week, I’ll be sharing something different.

The arrival of workmen was incredibly irritating. Her temporary landlord hadnā€™t mentioned thereā€™d be anyone working next door. If he had, she wouldnā€™t have booked the placeā€”the quiet and idyllic location were the whole reason for choosing this property, this area. Even though there was no way he could have known she was there to work, common courtesy would dictate that he told her. Perhaps he was just interested in taking her money and didnā€™t give a damn about whether she had a satisfactory stay or not. There was nothing to be done about it now, unfortunately. Sheā€™d paid for the fortnight, and she was buggered if she was going to cut and run, pissing that money down the drain. Sheā€™d just have to find a way around the disturbance, and console herself that she could leave a snarky write up on a review site when she got home.

Want more? Of course you do! Here’s the page Ā for A French Affair. And click here to go and visit the rest of the Hump Day Hook gang. Leave us comments about our pieces – we love it! šŸ™‚

Off the Shelf and A French Affair Now Available in Print!

If you still like to hold a print copy in your mitts, instead of an eReader, then a) you’re not alone, and b) I’ve got good news for you. Xcite Books are putting a bunch of their titles out in print on demand, and two of mine have been selected. My erotic romance novellas Off the Shelf and A French Affair are now available in print and eBook format.

Here’s a reminder of what they’re all about, in case you’ve forgotten.

Off the Shelf

At 35, travel writer Annalise is fed up with insensitive comments about being left on the shelf. Itā€™s not as if she doesnā€™t want a man, but her busy career doesnā€™t leave her much time for relationships. Sexy liaisons with passing acquaintances give Annalise physical satisfaction, but she needs more than that. She wants a man who will satisfy her mind as well as her body. But where will she find someone like that? It seems Annalise may be in luck when a new member of staff starts working in the bookshop at the airport she regularly travels through. Damien appears to tick all the boxes; heā€™s gorgeous, funny and intelligent, and he shares Annaliseā€™s love of books and travel. The trouble is, Damienā€™s shy and Annalise is terrified of rejection. Can they overcome their fears and admit their feelings, or are they doomed to remain on the shelf?

This is a fairly new book, so it’s only had one review so far – but it’s a good one!

ā€œā€¦a sweet romance between two people wanting a new start after being hurt, but with lots of lovemaking, not just sex. A good book for a rainy afternoon or for lying on the beach, (not to mention, if you might be on your way to Paris in the springtime!).ā€Ā 4.5 out of 5,Ā Manic Readers

You’ll probably have to wait a tad longer than normal to get these books in paperback as they have to be printed and whatnot, but I’m sure it’ll be worth the wait to add them to your romance collection šŸ™‚
