Hump Day Hook No. 3 #HDH

Hi everyone and welcome to Hump Day Hook, which is basically where authors post a paragraph from a WIP or a published work to show it off to the world. This week, I’m sharing a snippet from my erotic story, A Taste of London:

Rolling out of bed and shambling toward his friend’s, Ryan resisted the temptation to punch him. It wasn’t Kristian’s fault his phone was ringing, after all. Though the twat could have put it on silent before bed like most normal people. Sniggering, Ryan realized Kristian had been too drunk to fully undress, let alone operate his phone. He shook him awake while trying to find the offending mobile in the tangle of Kristian’s sheets. He found it and as soon as Kristian sat up he shoved it into his hand.

“Wh-who is it?” Kristian asked dopily, peering at the screen.

“I don’t know,” Ryan whispered, “just answer it and get outside—the noise is disturbing everyone else.”

Two New Reviews!

Wow, it seems the cities are getting some great reviews this week!

2012 Round Up!

I’ve been looking forward to writing this post for a while. Mainly because, without sounding big-headed, I’m proud of what I’ve achieved this year. I had some goals, some smaller than others, and I’ve achieved them all. Here are some of them:

Have a story accepted by Alison Tyler (check – she accepted three! The Big Book of Bondage is released next month, and Sudden Sex in May 2013)
Have a story accepted by Maxim Jakubowski (check – Quick & Dirty Erotica is due April 2013)
Have a story accepted by Violet Blue (check – I’m in Best Women’s Erotica 2013 – very excited!)
Be published by Ellora’s Cave (check – A Taste of London out now, A Taste of Paris currently with my editor)
Have more publications than last year (check – 25 last year, 30 this year)

Another thing that I’ve achieved that I knew I’d do eventually, but hadn’t specifically earmarked for 2012 was to write a novel. I currently have a first draft of my ménage erotic romance book sitting on my computer, waiting for me to come back and polish it to within an inch of its life.

I also had my first non-fiction piece published, which was an essay in the Fifty Writers on Fifty Shades of Grey collection.

My total publication count was 30, which includes print and eBooks, but if I sell the same story more than once, I only count it as one. So I’m pretty damn proud of that!

Here’s a photo of the paperbacks I’ve been in this year – though I’m missing two. Best Women’s Erotica 2013 hasn’t arrived yet, and the same goes for the Seven Deadly Sins anthology. So imagine two extra books on that pile.

A quick amendment to this – my copies of Best Women’s Erotica 2013 arrived after I scheduled this post. Also, I totted up my word count this year, and am absolutely astounded to report that I have written 225,672 words! Not all of them are published, of course, but many of them are, some are on submission, and 75,355 of those belong to my novel, which will probably be longer than that by the time I send it to a publisher. Happy New Year!!

New Release: A Taste of London

I am somewhat excited! You see, it’s release day again. This time, for my first release with Ellora’s Cave – A Taste of London. It’s the first book in a series, where the lead character, Ryan Stonebridge, is on his gap year. His adventure starts in London, then in the following books (which I have yet to write – sooo busy!) he heads to Paris and Rome. Beyond that, I haven’t decided yet – but watch this space!

The book is part of the Ellora’s Cave for Men range, which means it’s aimed at men, as the things that happen are very male fantasy orientated (though not impossible!), but there’s absolutely no reason why women won’t enjoy it, too. My editor is female, and she enjoyed it and says she can’t wait for the next instalment.

Ryan Stonebridge and his friend Kristian Hurst are heading off on the trip of a lifetime. They’re spending their gap year traveling the world and expect lots of sun, sights and sex. The guys have a couple of days in the English capital before catching the Eurostar to Paris. Unfortunately, a family emergency means that Kristian has to head back home for a while, leaving Ryan to continue the trip alone.

Luckily for Ryan, he’s an attractive guy and there is no shortage of gorgeous women available to help take his mind off Kristian’s family drama.

Sunday Snog – A Taste of London

Sunday Snog

This week, I’ve chosen a snippet from my upcoming Ellora’s Cave book, A Taste of London. It’s the first in a series for their Ellora’s Cave for Men range, which basically means it’s pure erotica and focussed on male fantasy. Romance is allowed in the range, but it doesn’t appear in this particular story. It comes out on the 7th December, and pretty soon I’ll be working on the next instalment, A Taste of Paris. Also, just because it’s aimed at men doesn’t mean women can’t enjoy it, too. I’ve read other books from the Ellora’s Cave for Men series and enjoyed them very much! 😀

“Glad you could make it,” she said, slipping her arms around his waist and looking up at him. “I was beginning to think you’d done a runner.”

“Don’t be ridiculous. Why would I want to do that? I mean, have you seen you? I was just making sure that no one saw what we were up to, that’s all. Doing as the lady asked.”

Rose raised an eyebrow. “And what lady would that be? I don’t see any lady.”

“Well, that may be true, but I’m here anyway. Now stop talking.”

He gave her no choice but to shut up as he leaned down and kissed her. He cupped her delicious arse cheeks in his hands and pulled her tightly to him, making damn sure she could feel his hard-on pressing against her.

Rose moaned and Ryan took advantage of her open mouth to slip his tongue inside and seek hers out. She responded immediately, deepening their kiss until it became so frantic and hungry that they pulled away after a few minutes, gasping. Ryan grinned as he looked down at Rose. Her hair was mussed, her eyes sparkled and she had vivid splashes of color that were definitely not makeup across her dimpled cheeks. He was pleased to know that he was having an effect on her, as she was on him.

“Fuck,” Rose said, running her fingers through her hair. “That was…” She paused, seemingly groping for the right word. “Fucking incredible.”

“I second that motion,” Ryan replied. “So how would you like to do it again?”

“Oh, I’d like to all right. But first let’s get naked.”

“You don’t need to tell me twice.”
