If You Liked X, Then You’ll Like Y

Just lately, I’ve seen lots of authors saying that if people liked Fifty Shades of Grey, then they’ll like one of their books. It’s a great way of getting people interested in their work, but since my only BDSM titles are Punish Me Good and Naughty Delivery, I don’t think I have enough material to jump on that particular bandwagon. I have no idea if my titles are similar to Fifty Shades of Grey or not because I haven’t read it yet, though it’s sitting on my Kindle, waiting for me to finish The Hunger Games trilogy.

However, what I do know are my own books. And I also know which ones seem to sell the most. Therefore I’m going to do some “If You Liked X, Then You’ll Like Y” type stuff myself. So here goes…

If you liked:

Bite with Height

Then you’ll like:

The Cottage in the Woods

While the Boys Are Away

Weekend at Wilderhope Manor

If you liked:

Brick Dust & Bedsprings

Then you’ll like:

A Menu with a Difference

Caught in the Act

If you liked:

Susie White and the Right Hand Man

Then you’ll like:

Love Through Time

Succubus Comes Home

Loose Ends

If you liked:

A Bit of Rough

Then you’ll like:

The Great Outdoors

The Great Outdoors Vol 2

The Best of Lucy Felthouse

So there you have it! I’ve covered lesbian, bisexual, straight and menage stuff, voyeurism, paranormal, erotica and erotic romance. There’s a little bit of something in there for everyone – and plenty more on its way! ;)

5 Stars for Punish Me Good

Punish Me GoodYay! Romance Novel Junkies covered my fem-dom mini-antho Punish Me Good, awarded it 5 stars, and commented:

“This novella was sexually gratifying and sexually exciting as each scene unfolds. Lucy Felthouse produces two female Doms that gave BDSM a bit of sexy mix with a bit of attitude. Though this is a reversal of power for me with female Doms, this was still very much a BDSM / D.R.I.P worthy read. I was sad to see it end.”

The reviewer seemed to be a particular fan of Malachi, the male submissive in this piece. I can’t say I blame her – I’ve a soft spot for him myself ;)

Also covered was Susie White and the Right Hand Man:

“I found this story cute with a twist for grown ups. Although the story is quick and to the point, I enjoyed Lucy Felthouse spicy version of Snow White and her interpretation of the witch.”

You can check out both reviews in their entirety here.

Have a Smutty Valentine’s Day!

Yes, it’s that day again. Happy Valentine’s Day! I’m not overly excited, as me and my OH celebrated it by disappearing off to York for the weekend. Despite the freezing (and below) temperatures, we had a lovely time and exchanged our cards then. But, as usual, weekends are over far too quickly and it’s back to work!

However, I’m not going to dampen your enjoyment. No, far from it! Instead, I’m going to point you towards some yummy books to get you in the mood for lurrrrve (and probably naughtiness, too!).

Do you like your love in the vein of fairy tales? In that case, check out my Snow White and the Huntsman retelling, Susie White and the Right Hand Man

Love Through TimeOr perhaps you like tales of lost loves, and love that never dies? Love Through Time is a sweet and sensual ghost story that’ll give you chills.

Loose Ends is the tale of a University reunion, and what happens when two people that like each other very much finally get the opportunity to be together. Sweet, but also very, very hot!

How about making a discovery about someone that you’ve known what feels like forever? A discovery that will change both your lives… that’s what you’ll find in Succubus Comes Home.

Love lesbian vampires? Love Paris? Then you’ll adore Bite with Height, my f/f erotic romance set in the City of Light. It won the SexyReads.co.uk Book of 2011, you know! ;)

Absolute ValentinesAnd last, but certainly not least, why not treat yourself to an anthology full of nice but naughty stories? House of Erotica brings you Absolute Valentines, which contains stories from yours truly, Victoria Blisse, Sommer Marsden and more!

Well, I’ve done my bit, so now you go and load up your eReader and snuggle under the covers for some very nice naughty time! ;)

Also, if you haven’t already, don’t forget to check out the FOUR awesome giveaways I still have running, here, here, here and here. There are books and a $30 Edenfantasys Gift Card to be won!

Two Super Reviews for Susie White

Susie White and the Right Hand ManMy saucy retelling of Snow White and the Huntsman, Susie White and the Right Hand Man, got another couple of awesome reviews!

Here goes (click the names of the sites to read the full reviews):

“…I love Lucy’s writing style. There’s some wonderfully subtle tongue-in-cheek humour in there, and for a short story, you get a fully fleshed background and very rounded characters. How she managed to re-write Snow White to fit this story for the modern day is great, original, and, I thought, very clever. If you’re looking for something light and fun to read on your lunch break that won’t scare all your colleagues away from you (it’s not that explicit), this one’s a winner. Totally recommended :) I’ll definitely be reading more of Lucy’s books!” 4 out of 5, Erotic Flashes

“I love a re-telling of a fairy tale! The story is an imperfect, yet likable, bedtime story with a modern fairy tale twist that is sure to please.” BookingIt

Six Sentence Sunday – 12/2/12

Susie White and the Right Hand ManLast piece from from fairy tale retelling Susie White and the Right Hand Man, then I’ll move onto something new next time. Happy Valentines Week! :D

I never bothered my father with my concerns. After all, as long as she liked him, what did it matter?

While Louise and my father were just dating, things weren’t too bad. They went to restaurants, the theatre, the cinema, and so on. I didn’t see her very often, and therefore didn’t have to put up with her frosty behaviour towards me.

Naturally, everything changed when dad told me he was going to ask Louise to marry him.

Yet Another Crazy Busy Weekend!

A Menu with a DifferenceWhile I spent the weekend hiding indoors from the snow, then making a successful (though a tad scary) trek home in it, the blogosphere was much busier – posting reviews of my books! :D

First, Coffee Beans & Love Scenes Reviews said of A Menu with a Difference:

“Felthouse delights my desires and satisfies my erotic craving in this short and extremely fast read. I’d love to see her elaborate and make this trio a yearly holiday event. The last two sentences “We’d definitely be returning to that restaurant. It had a menu with a difference, and our dessert had been quite delicious!” left me laughing and hungry for more.” 4 out of 5

Then, Love Romance Passion reviewed Susie White and the Right Hand Man:

“…if you like to read a sweet romance with a smidge of suspense, than you will like this one. You’ll want to see what happens to Susie and Scott. If you don’t have a lot of time, this is a fast read and one that you can read over and over again. Lucy also makes this a cliffhanger. Will this story continue? Will Lucy write another story based on a fairy tale? We’ll just have to watch to see what Lucy comes up with next.” 4.5 out of 5

As did A Redheads Guilty Reads:

“I throughly enjoyed this novel just as I do any other by Lucy Felthouse but Susie White and Right Man truly was a heart warming and intriging book, With just that little bit of magic in it to make it all that more incredible. From the very start that Susie and Scott are introduced at Susie’s wicked witch step-mother Louise’s wedding their attraction is obvious! With some very hot scenes and a happily ever after this novel truly has it all!”

Who also covered Punish Me Good:

“Punish Me Good is filled with two very short quick sexy reads by the amazing Lucy Felthouse! With some very explicit scenes that are sure to get you hot under the collar!”

I also made an appearance on the awesome Robin Badillo’s blog, here.

And finally, today, I make my first posting on a group blog I was asked to be a member of, the Para-Posse! I’d love comments on both posts, so please come say hi! :)

Six Sentence Sunday – 29/1/12

Susie White and the Right Hand ManMore from fairy tale retelling Susie White and the Right Hand Man.

I’d been eager to get on with the woman, knowing it would please my father. “Everyone does.”

Another tight-lipped smile. I’d tried hard to make conversation with her and make her feel comfortable in our home. But I never felt like I was succeeding. At first, I put it down to her being nervous or shy, but as weeks and months passed, I still never felt as though Louise warmed to me.

Scorching Book Reviews Rates Susie White!

Susie White and the Right Hand ManVicky from Scorching Book Reviews read and reviewed Susie White and the Right Hand Man, and here’s what she had to say:

“The main characters were well written and easily held my imagination and, even though this is quite short at 14 pages, I still felt like I got to know the characters and the personalities. I was pleased that the main parts of the classic story were still identifiable, even if it was slightly more risqué than Disney ;-) Overall this is an interesting take on a classic fairytale which I thoroughly enjoyed.” 4 out of 5

Glad to see I’m more risqué than Disney – I think the man himself would be pretty shocked, don’t you? ;)
