Snowflake Wine by Elodie Parkes (@elodieparkes)

Thank you for inviting me to your blog with new release, MM romance, Snowflake Wine.

The story is contemporary gay romance with an edge of fantasy, especially written as a sweet but sexy Christmas treat.

Jamie Snow and Nathan Bloom, my characters are as usual, dear to me.

Jamie has battled all his life with his strange, fantastic gift. His is the character that brings the element of fantasy to the story. The inspiration behind the creation of this character came, weirdly enough, in the summer, when I visited a ruined abbey. In the grounds were flowering shrubs that I’d never encountered before. From a distance, the flowers looked like frost, and as I drew close, into my mind came the idea of Jamie, a sprite who loves cold, ice, frost, and to comfort himself in the warm weather, he decorated the shrubs with frost flowers.

Nathan Bloom is the perfect partner for Jamie—gorgeous, calm, loving and open. He’s looking for love. He’s onto Jamie’s gifts long before he lets Jamie know it. This is a love story—romantic, sexy, hopeful.

Blurb

Hunky Nathan Bloom works late for the company putting up the town Christmas lights and decorations.

Gorgeous, enigmatic, Jamie Snow works late forecasting the weather from his desk in the meteorology office.

Nathan sighs over the prospect of a holiday season with no one to love.

Jamie wonders if he’ll ever find a man to love who will accept his mysterious origins and talents.

One cold night, as Nathan finishes hoisting the wreath lights up the building where Jamie works, they meet.

The brilliant festive lights aren’t the only things to sparkle as the two men connect on a deep level.

Be delighted by a delicious, contemporary, gay romance with an edge of fantasy this season.

Sometimes being different is awesome.

Read a teaser:

Jamie Snow sat alongside Nathan. He glanced across at the man who stirred his frosty heart. He’s so attractive. Jamie hadn’t loved in a long time. He felt more than ready for it—longed for it on lonely nights. He wasn’t about to give up on the chance that this man might want a lover, that he was gay wasn’t in question. No straight guy looked the way he had at another man.

“My name’s Jamie, Jamie Snow.” He softened his voice as he spoke. The man beside him inspired tenderness and he felt a little prick of guilt. Using the weather to flirt with him had been inspired but maybe a little naughty.

Nathan drove the truck into a wide car lot that Jamie hadn’t known existed behind the furniture store on the end of the main street. “Here we are. The store allows us to leave the bigger rigs here every year. Jamie Snow—that’s an interesting name for a meteorologist—mine’s Nathan Bloom.”

Jamie’s smile infused his tone. “Yes. People tease me sometimes at work, they’ll know we’ve forecast it and as I walk by they’ll say, ‘here comes the snow,’ but I don’t mind. I like this name.”

“You’ve had others?” Nathan asked with a laugh.

Jamie didn’t want to reply. He waited. I won’t be lying to this lovely guy if I don’t answer.

Nathan turned off the truck engine and twisted to talk to Jamie. “It’s a cool name. Where do you live?”

It appeared he’d forgotten his question.

Happiness trickled into Jamie’s soul that the attractive man beside him liked his name, and used the word, cool. Eagerly, Jamie told Nathan his address on the outskirts of the town.

Nathan grinned, his eyes reflecting Jamie’s emotion. “I know it well. I live a couple of streets south from there.”

The Story Behind A New Life For Christmas by Liam Livings (@LiamLivings)

A New Life for ChristmasWhat is the story behind the story?

Every year I watch The Holiday. I remember seeing it at Christmas in the cinema the year it came out. Walking out of the cinema, I brushed a tear from my eye and said to my friend, ‘That’s not going to be the last time I watch that film.’ And rest assured, it wasn’t.

Some years I watch it twice!

Many years ago I read a book called Life Swap which is about a house exchange between two women and it opened up each character’s eyes to what they had missing in their own life and the opportunities for change.

I’m a great one for a change of scene is as good as a rest. That it’s useful to go elsewhere to make you think about your own life.

I also wondered what a m/m romance version of The Holiday may look like…

I also always felt a bit frustrated by how open-ended the ending of The Holiday is.

So I combined all these factors and decided to write a life swap festive m/m romance set in a bit of the UK I’m familiar with (I grew up in the New Forest) and a part of America I’d like to go, and am sort of familiar with, having watched The Bird Cage approximately twelve dozen times.

What’s your favourite thing about Christmas?

There’s a lot of things I like about this season. I’m not great with the cold and darkness of winter, so having a reason to see friends and family, to make lots of lovely comforting food, and relax with a film or board game, is what I love most. So basically, all of it!

There’s something comfortingly familiar about some of Christmas being the same each year – the films, the music, the board games, the trying to rush around and see everyone – while also being a bit different too. It’s that too, I love.

The novella is reduced to 99p / 99c for a limited time, so you can snap up a bargain! http://mybook.to/New_Life_Christmas

Extract

Here’s an extract from when Kyle arrives from America to England, to stay in Oliver’s house in the New Forest:

Kyle was surprised at the price of the taxi and distance the cottage was from Heathrow. He’d expected ‘London’s near’ to mean thirty minutes, not an hour and a half and a demand of, ‘That’s a hundred quid, mate,’ from the taxi driver.

The taxi stopped in front of the cottage Kyle had seen on the website. It was surrounded by trees covered in snow, also covering the edge of the road. He felt he was stepping into the cover of a pretty chocolate box he’d picked up from a tourist shop. He expected a group of children would hop out of a wardrobe next to the cottage and begin exploring the snow-covered countryside.

The key was under a stone next to the flowerpot, as Oliver had messaged him.

Unlocking the door, Kyle entered a low-ceilinged room with two squashy sofas covered in multi-coloured throws facing a metal wood burning stove. The far wall had a wooden dresser covered in old china ornaments with a wooden bookcase stuffed full of books. A small galley kitchen ran along the left wall. Next to the sink was a large black metal thing he assumed was some sort of oven slash heating machine.

The room was so cold Kyle could see his breath in the air. He looked at the books—art deco, antiques, two, no, three, no four Marilyn biographies, a section of picture books of her film stills, and some books about classical music.

As he stood staring at the wood burner, wondering why anyone would choose voluntarily to have to light something when a radiator did much the same job, without all the mess and time he knew it would take to light, the only sound he heard was his own breathing. Deciding to turn on some music to get rid of the unnerving silence, he discarded the piles of classical music and put on a Now album from a few years ago.

Right, now to try and light the stove.

A New Life For Christmas by Liam Livings

A house exchange between two single men leads to a romantic new life for both of them.

Oliver and Kyle live thousands of miles apart, but each needs a break from his current life and love. Enter the Cloud B&B website, a wonderful new way to exchange homes for the holiday. They both muster their courage, and decide to visit another continent for Christmas.

In the UK, Oliver has been pining after his neighbour for far too long, living his comfortable but quiet life in a town in the New Forest. When his crush moves on in the worst possible way, Oliver is seduced by the chance to stay in fun-loving, sunny Miami.

In Miami, Kyle is a club owning workaholic, who suddenly discovers the man he lives with has been unfaithful. Yet again. As consolation, Kyle is tempted to see first hand the picturebook charm of the New Forest in winter.

Both of them find not just a new setting but a new romance. Oliver makes a big effort to shed his inhibitions and meets a musician, Mark, who plays in the Florida bars, and who may be just as cautious and polite as Oliver in making the first move.

And while Kyle’s trying to come to terms with England’s very different culture—and food!—he’s charmed by Oliver’s best friend Edward, who’s bold and sexy, but secretive.

Will Oliver take the leap of faith and encourage a lover who can and will give the commitment he deserves? And will Kyle find a man who can be loyal and also offer Kyle the family life he needs?

But perhaps more importantly—when Christmas is over, can a new life survive?

Make a Wish by E.D. Parr

Erotic, romantic, a Christmas MM romance to make you tingle

It’s the day before Christmas Eve and gorgeous, happy, Nick Kringle is making deliveries on the main street of the city when a car breaks down at the intersection.

Amid the seasonal crowds and inclement weather, Dylan West gets out of his car and tries to push it to the side of the road.

Nick rushes to help him and comes face to face with the most delicious man he’s ever seen.

Dylan’s down on his luck, but Nick believes in magic.

Can wishes come true? You bet—especially if Nick Kringle has anything to do with it.

Who is Nick Kringle?

With a name like that you might think he’s the jolly old elf in red, but Nick is a gorgeous guy who just happens to have a touch of the supernatural about him. He drives a red SUV, he delivers goods, and sometimes they’re straight from somewhere special—a place of magic and kindness.

Nick is gorgeous, kind, generous, loving just the kind of man that down on his luck Dylan West needs to run into. Could it be fate that makes his car break down unexpectedly almost next to Nick on the busy main street full of hectic Christmas shoppers and travelers? Maybe…

Make a WishRead an excerpt:

The city street glistened with rivers of red, green, bright pink, and white light thrown there by the stores and cafés decked out for the holiday season. Rain fell in drifting sheets as a chill wind ravaged the shoppers rushing from one place to another, some laden with parcels, others hunched against the weather in their winter coats.

Nick parked his SUV in the first available space, opened the trunk with the interior lever, and leaped out. He didn’t feel the cold unless snow lay knee deep on the ground and even then, he enjoyed the beauty, and the way a new white fall would change the light, way too much to complain about the chill.

As he ran around to the back of his vehicle, the squeal of tires braking hard and the clamor of honking horns made him spin around. In the junction behind him, standing motionless, was a stalled car. Other drivers surged around the stationary vehicle, making everything worse by taking space in the oncoming lanes so that everyone crammed dangerously together.

The driver of the offending vehicle edged out of his open car door, narrowly missed by a small car that chanced overtaking just as the lights turned red.

Nick cast a keen gaze over the man, registering his muscled body beneath an inexpensive suit and his thick dark hair, pushed back from his forehead so that the front spiked up. Nick watched the man lean into the open driver’s side door and attempt to shove the heavy vehicle to the side of the road. The man’s pants stretched over his hard ass and a sigh of appreciation escaped Nick. With one hand on the wheel, and the other lodged in the gap between open door and car, the man clearly needed help. Nick clicked the trunk of his SUV closed and jogged over to help.

“Hi, I’ll lend a hand,” he called to the stranded driver. The man straightened to answer and Nick was face to face with one of the most gorgeous men he’d ever seen. Nick never hid his emotions. They shone from his ice-blue eyes and exuded from his well-toned body. He smiled at the man in a way he knew and didn’t care broadcast attraction, desire—pure sex.

Apparently unaffected by Nick’s charisma, the man gave a grateful nod. “Thanks.” He leaned into the task of pushing the car out of the way, as the traffic lined up behind him, and the sky opened with a fresh punishing downpour.

A Contract for Christmas By Lisabet Sarai #bdsm #eroticromance #menage #holiday #christmas #mfm #polyamory

A Contract For ChristmasI really didn’t have time to write a holiday story this year. The deadline for my next novel is December 31st, and I’m at least half a dozen chapters from the end. As usual, the holiday season means lots of social events, not to mention end-of-year work responsibilities. Then there were gifts to buy or create, cards to send, decorations to hang, cookies to bake—all the lovely, but time-consuming, activities associated with with December.

Once I’d conceived the idea for A Contract for Christmas, though, the story wouldn’t let me go. I’ve been writing about Isabella, Greg and James for a couple of years now. Every time I sit down to pen another episode, I learn more about who they are and what they want. In this case, I realized how emotionally dependent Isabella was on her dominant husband Greg. I started to wonder whether this was a good thing. Apparently, given the ending of the story, Greg was thinking along the same lines.

So anyway, I stole the time for writing this. I devoted two solid eight-hour days to the process, deferring everything else that I could. I ended up with a massive headache and a stiff back—but I had my Christmas story!

I hope you like it.

Blurb:

Isabella plans to surprise her husband and master Greg with an intimate Christmas Eve dinner for two. She’s left with only her fantasies of Greg’s dominance to keep her company, though, when a blizzard strands him at an airport a thousand miles away. Then her husband’s best friend James shows up at her door. Over the past year, Greg has invited James to participate in some of their kinky scenes, but Bella has never been alone with the sexy entrepreneur. Should she let him in and risk surrendering to his quiet authority without her master’s permission?

Greg resolves her doubts in an unexpected phone call, ordering her to fulfill James’s every desire. Ever obedient, Bella complies, and James rewards her with a night of soul-searing pleasure. When Greg returns on Christmas morning, he appears unfazed by her powerful new connection to his friend. Instead, he offers Bella an outrageous gift, one she’s not sure she dares accept.

Excerpt

I thought he’d kiss me—I even closed my eyes—but instead he forced me toward the floor. “Crawl to the bedroom, Bella. Now.”

He landed a swat on my upturned butt. The sting set me moving, though obviously not fast enough for James, since he continued to spank me the whole way.

The wall-to-wall carpet in the hallway rubbed my knees raw, and the parquet in the bedroom bruised, but I didn’t care. My only goal was to satisfy my new master. On my hands and knees by the side of bed, I waited for his next command.

James switched on the recessed ceiling lights, which provided a dim, soothing illumination. He surveyed the room. “As I recall, you keep your toy box in the guest bedroom. But I’d be surprised if you didn’t stash a few restraints and such in here, too…” He rummaged in the drawer of the bed table for a moment, then held up a set of fur-lined leather cuffs. “Just as I expected. Up on the bed, Bella. I want you on your back, with your arms over your head.”

I was in position—one of my favorites, to be honest —almost before he’d finished speaking.

“You seem commendably eager to obey,” he commented as he cuffed my wrists and clipped them to the curlicue brass headboard. “Greg certainly has you well-trained.”

Considering the circumstances, I didn’t think that observation required any response.

He captured my feet in matching restraints, then forced my thighs apart so he could bind each ankle to a corner post with Velcro straps. It took no more than sixty seconds for him to immobilize me. As he stood back to admire his handiwork, I wondered for a moment where he’d acquired those skills. Had he and Greg trained as dominants together, or was their mutual interest in kink only a happy coincidence?

Either way, I was the lucky beneficiary.

“Are you comfortable, Bella? No pain?”

In fact my hip joints protested a bit from being spread so wide, but that was a small price to pay for the luscious sense of exposure enforced by this position. The pose elevated my breasts, brazenly presenting my erect nipples. My pussy gaped, displaying my slick, swollen labia and engorged clit. Juices leaked out to drip down the crevice between my ass cheeks, flowing over my still-stretched rear hole. Helpless and horny, I was ready for anything he might want to dish out.

“None that I can’t handle, James.”

“Oh really? Guess I’ll have to ramp up the volume. Just a minute…”

Stripping off his shirt with typical economy and ease, he folded it on the vanity stool. His jeans followed. Before he set them down, he extracted his belt from the waist. “I’m going to want this,” he said, laying it alongside my outstretched body so I could smell the leather. “And these, of course.” He dropped five or six condoms onto the bed table.

I couldn’t help laughing. “How many times do you plan to fuck me, James?”

He kneeled between my legs, his engorged cock bobbing as he moved. “As many times as you can handle, woman.” He picked up the belt, running it over his palm. “Then I’ll fuck you some more.”

Mistle Tow by H K Carlton (@AuthorHKCarlton)

Thank you so much for having me today and for the opportunity to share a bit about my new holiday release, Mistle Tow. I’ve always wanted to write a Christmas story. Though, I always thought when I finally wrote one it would be a mushy, heart-warming, sentimental, tearjerker. But when inspiration hit, that’s not what materialized at all. Instead it turned out to be a gift of sorts for the man who inspired the story. My husband.

For more than twenty years my man drove a tow truck while I was the stay-at-home mom and we raised three amazing kids. And now, that same wonderful man, allows me to live my dream of telling stories like this one.

So be forewarned, if you’re looking for a mushy sentimental, carol-filled, tree-trimming, tinsel clinging, twinkling lights and sweet togetherness kind of story, that’s not what this is. It’s really only a holiday story in the sense that it takes place over the Christmas season. It’s about a man trying to move on with his life while avoiding the holidays altogether. But it does contain a hot blonde in a Santa hat, some mistletoe and a sleek and sexy black ’66 Chevelle.

I guess it did turn out kinda mushy in the long run. A love story for the wrecker operator who hooked my heart when I was fifteen-years-old. And he’s never let go.

Hope you enjoy!

Here’s the blurb:

The last thing Brantley Holley wants to do this year is spend the holidays at home with his family.

In an attempt to move on from his failed marriage, Brant places the marital home on the market and also decides to clean house, ridding himself of any and all reminders. Although it wrecks him to do so, that includes selling his beloved ’66 Chevelle which also may have contributed to the demise of his marriage.

Brant puts his baby up on the auction block at one of the premier auction houses — the auction to be held over the holidays. But instead of racking up needless extra miles on her, which might be a detriment to potential buyers, he hires a flatbed tow truck to convey his precious cargo from Philadelphia to Arizona.

But when the rollback shows up, Brant is totally unprepared for the sexy blonde bombshell in the red Santa hat who steps out of the massive red tow truck.

All of a sudden, the holidays are looking a whole lot more festive.

Excerpt:

Brant took one last sip of his coffee in time to hear the unmistakable rumble of a large truck pull up outside, followed by the obnoxious warning back-up beeper that tow trucks were mandated to
employ these days.

Placing his cup on the counter, he took a deep calming breath and hurried over to the door separating the house from the garage.

Hesitating, he stood there with his hand on the doorknob.

“Are you sure about this?” he asked himself for the hundredth time. He’d struggled with this decision for months now. Even after he’d made it and taken the steps to follow through, putting his girl up on the auction block was one of the hardest decisions he’d ever had to make. But it was time to move on. She brought back too many memories he needed to put behind him.

With determination he opened the door and rushed outside before the tow-truck driver rang the bell.

The first thing he saw was the flatbed of the tow truck and he was at once relieved to see how new and clean it appeared to be. The last thing he wanted was his Chelle being transferred on some greasy dirty wrecker. For one, she wasn’t being scrapped, and two, Brant kept all of his stuff in pristine condition. For their last ride together, he intended for her send off to remain the status quo.

Brant stepped out onto the front stoop and immediately pulled his collar up. It was damn cold and by the cloud cover, he didn’t doubt the first snowfall of the year was only hours away. “Come on.” He encouraged the driver. “Let’s get outta here before the bad weather comes.” It would kill him to see snow on his car. What had he been thinking? Why hadn’t he hired an enclosed trailer? Especially at this time of year.

The driver’s door opened and he lost all train of thought. One black-booted foot appeared on the step-down to the massive red cab. Brant followed the line of that knee-high boot up a slim, denim-covered thigh, hip, and waist to the plaid shirt that he half-expected to be topped off with a red and black trimmed jacket. But instead of some burly bearded lumberjack type, he stared into the flawless face of a woman who should be on the cover of one of his car magazines, draped over some sleek and sexy machine instead of driving a fucking rollback.

Things were definitely looking up.
