We Want YOU – For The Brit Babes Street Team!

book buffett2aMost everyone already knows that the Brit Babes have a Street Team, and a fabulous Street Team it is! We brag about the members all the time because they’re fun and cool and energetic and encouraging and … well they’re just flat out amazing! For those of you who don’t know, our Street Team is a group of dedicated readers who receive free books in return for honest reviews. They also shout about our new releases on social media and gossip with us authors and each other on a private loop. Even cooler, sometimes we actually get to meet some of them in person at events like Smut by the Sea and the ETO Show.

And then there are just flat-out fun events especially for the team, like the Read and Review Rave coming up this Sunday July 6th. The Street Team will be getting together with the Brit Babes on Facebook to talk about and review the Brit Babe books they’ve been reading, to chat about their favourites, to talk about sizzling heroes and sexy heroines, to enjoy character interviews, ask probing questions ..oooh … er … and just celebrate erotica and romance. It’s gonna be a great time for the Team and the Babes.

Our Street Team is a very open, very welcoming group, and the Brit Babes are always looking for new, enthusiastic readers of erotica and erotic romance to jump on board.

What our Street Team does:

As authors we all want our work to be read and enjoyed by as many people as possible. The best way to get the word out about our books is through the medium of reviews, which is why we need readers who are happy to tell the world what they think of our stories.

Members of our team have access to all of our books for FREE. Plus, we use our Brit Babes Facebook and Yahoo Groups to chatter with each other and with the team, to discuss stories, characters, and just to gossip. Aaaand! We host contests with cool monthly prizes.

Street Team members need to be comfortable posting reviews for erotic romance and erotica books on Amazon and Goodreads as well as their Facebook and Twitter account because this is how we spread the word on the ‘street’ about our books. If they’re as hooked on Pinterest as we are, that’s cool too.

Read, Review and Share!

And have a great time with the Brit Babes!

Sunday Snog – City Nights: One Night in Paris

Sunday Snog

City Nights: One Night in ParisIt’s time for another Sunday Snog, yay! My M/F erotic romance novella, City Nights: One Night in Paris was released on Friday, so as part of the ongoing celebrations, I’m sharing a snog from that. Read on for sexy Parisian street snogging…

“Ignoring your last comment, that sounds good to me. I’d rather get other stuff done than stand in a queue for hours on end. Stupid, really. I booked a bus tour beforehand, but not an entry ticket to the Eiffel Tower.”

“I’m glad you did,” she said, bumping him lightly with her hip.

“Why’s that?”

“Because if you hadn’t been on that particular bus at that particular time, we wouldn’t have met. And if you’d booked a ticket for the tower, you’d have been rushing off now, instead of spending time with me.”

“That’s true.” He grinned widely. “In that case, it was an incredibly intelligent move. Practically genius.”

“Wow, I’m snogging a genius. Who would have thought it? Little old me!”

“But you’re not actually snogging—” Jacob’s words were cut off as Annabelle moved right in front of him, stretched up on her tiptoes and pressed her lips to his. In spite of the wine, he froze for several seconds as his brain tried to catch up with what his body was telling him.

Soon, his body forced his brain to snap out of it, and he responded accordingly, wrapping his arms around Annabelle, pulling her closer and returning the kiss with relish. Her lips were plump, pliant, and her mouth was hot and tasted of the wine they’d been drinking, as well as the chocolaty dessert they’d shared.

Eager to taste more, Jacob slipped his tongue between her lips, deepening the kiss, letting his passion roam. The way he teased and explored her mouth obviously turned her on, as the hands she’d previously linked behind his neck shifted down his body, cupping his arse. Squeezing it, pulling him harder into her.

This close, she couldn’t fail to notice the rapidly-hardening cock trapped between their bodies, but it didn’t seem to bother her. Far from it, in fact. She seemed just as aroused as he, her hands shamelessly groping his backside and little grunts and groans emanating from her throat as they devoured each other’s mouths.

Only the fact they were standing in a busy street held Jacob back. Probably just as well, too, given they’d only just met. If they had privacy, who knew what they’d end up doing.

A torrent of rapid French and what sounded like a group of people laughing yanked him out of the moment. Gently disentangling from Annabelle, he looked towards the source of the noise, seeing what looked like a tour group staring and giggling.

You can get your hands on City Nights: One Night in Paris here.

Not Cadbury’s Drinking Chocolate – Inspiration for a Choccyrotica Story by Slave Nano

More Smut for ChocoholicsMore Smut for Chocoholics is a collection of erotic short stories edited by Tilly Hunter and Kevin Blisse on the theme of chocolate. The anthology is all about over-indulgence and taking wicked delight in the erotic consumption and use of chocolate.  It includes stories by Tilly Hunter, Victoria Blisse, Aurelia T Evans, Lucy Felthouse, Ruby Madsen, Jacqueline Brocker, Vanessa de Sade, Wendi Zwaduk, Jillian Boyd, Nicole Gestalt, Annabeth Leong and Anna Sky.

My contribution to More Smut for Chocoholics is a story called ‘Los Conquistadores and the Goddess of Chocolate’. The story is a humorous one and follows two adventurers, Juan and Alonso who, inspired by stories about the legendary Aztec city, desert from Cortez’s army of conquistadores to seek out an erotic paradise fuelled by the drink xocolatl made from the cacao bean. In the story Juan and Alonso get to sample the aphrodisiacal qualities of the Aztec beverage. But be warned, this drink is no Cadbury’s Drinking Chocolate!

Pouring chocolateIt was the Europeans who sweetened and lightened the drink by adding refined sugar and milk and it wasn’t until the 19th century when John Cadbury (why isn’t this man a saint!) developed an emulsification process to make solid chocolate to create the modern chocolate bar.

No, the Aztec version of drinking chocolate was a very different beast. The cocoa beans were ground to a powder and other ingredients, corn and spices such as chillies, were added. The resulting powder was mixed with cold water and stirred with a spoon until foam rose to the surface. The mixture would be poured from one ceramic vessel to another to enhance the foam. Sometimes it was prepared not as a beverage but with a texture more like porridge.

The resulting drink was dark, greasy, thick and bitter tasting. In fact, it sounds quite disgusting!

If you want to give it a try yourselves I’ve found a recipe for an authentic Aztec Chocolate Corn Drink:

¼ cup dry corn

1 Mexican vanilla bean (cooked in 1 cup water)

¼ lb cocoa beans, dark roasted

¾ cup honey

Dried chilli peppers to taste

Toast the corn in a dry frying pan and soak overnight in a cup of water. The next day grind the cocoa beans in a blender with enough hot water to form a sauce then mix in the honey and ground dried chillies. Boil the vanilla bean in a cup of water for about 10 minutes and add that to the corn and chocolate mixture. Blend all the ingredients together with icy water. The chillies are optional!

So, there you go – an authentic Aztec xocolatl as experienced by Juan and Alonso, the two conquistadores in my story. I’ve got to confess I’ve not tried the recipe myself. I think I’ll stick to a bar of Cadbury’s Dairy Milk!

Story extract

The high priestess had laid out ceramic vessels at the foot of the great statue of Ixcacao.  She had taken the red pods of the cocoa plant and ground their beans into a powder.  She blended a small amount of corn and other secret spices.  This was all mixed with water and stirred in the ceramic bowl until froth rose to the top of the mixture.  She poured the drink out into a set of smaller ceramic bowls decorated with the image of a jaguar-headed man.

“The xocolatl is prepared, “announced Ixquic.  “You must come forward and receive it.”

The two men were accompanied out of the plunge pool.  Alonso felt a bit disappointed; he was enjoying the attention of the girls, but Juan was eager with anticipation.  This was the moment he had been waiting for, the fulfilment of the erotic visions old Gonzalo had described to him.  The high priestess gestured to them to kneel in front of the statue of Ixcacao.

“You are privileged.  This is the food of the Goddess.”

She offered a bowl to each of them and at the foot of the statue and in the presence of her high priestess decorated in gold jewellery they took their first tentative sips.  At first they both pulled a face.  They didn’t know what to expect.  The beverage was thick, more like porridge than a drink.  It was greasy, dark and bitter.  They took a few more sips, conscious that this was clearly a ritual that should not be rushed and, in any case, the texture of the drink was such it could hardly be guzzled down.  It was Alonso who reacted first.

“Hmm, I’m not sure.  It’s a bit bitter.  I reckon if you added something to sweeten it and some milk to make it creamier and then squashed it down into little solid blocks you might be onto something.”

“Little blocks?  You come up with the most idiotic of ideas Alonso!”

Sunday Snog – Sweet Spot

Sunday Snog

Sweet SpotIt’s time for another Sunday Snog, yay! My lesbian erotic romance novella, Sweet Spot, was released on Wednesday, so as part of the ongoing celebrations, I’m sharing a snog from that. Read on for sexy Sapphic shower snogging… try saying that fast! 😉

Instead I continued to explore her swollen folds, dipping into her molten core and enjoying the sounds she made and the wriggles that told me I was doing something right. Drawing more juices from her cunt, I spread them over her clit, which was distended, making its presence known. I began to play with it, paying attention to her reactions, figuring out what she liked, what she loved, what she was indifferent to. Learning her body, learning what would make her come apart.

Throughout, we continued kissing, her deft tongue caressing mine, exploring my mouth. Every now and again she would suck on my tongue, my bottom lip, even give the occasional nibble. I mirrored her movements, aware that they grew increasingly frantic—our mouths hungrily devouring, our fingers playing with needy pussies.

She was learning my body too. Her ministrations were sensual, erotic, yet precise. She’d quickly pinpointed the exact spot beside my clit that really got my motor revving. But instead of stimulating it relentlessly until I came, she teased me. Played me. Brought me close to orgasm, happy hormones rushing through my veins, then moved away, slipped her fingers inside me. Caressed my G-spot, coaxed more juices from me until I thought I had no more. Then started all over again. I grew lightheaded, desperate. Would she ever let me come?

Perhaps if I made her come first, once she’d ridden out her climax she’d concentrate on me and let me have my own. It was worth a try—and a damn good excuse to move things on. I could hardly wait to see her orgasm. She was beautiful already—extreme pleasure would only enhance that.

Pulling away from her lips, I leaned back a little until her face came into focus once more, and gave her a wicked grin. “Time for you to come, sweetheart.”

“And what about you?” she replied. I was gratified to hear that she sounded breathless, lust-drunk.

“After. You first.” With that, I gripped her upper arms, spun us both around and pushed her against the wall, careful to avoid the hook that held my wash bag. We’d moved mostly out of the spray now, though droplets still hit the edge of my buttocks, running into my crack, giving a little stimulation.

You can get your hands on Sweet Spot here.

I Do Like To Be Beside the Seaside – At Smut by the Sea! (@smutbythesea)

Hi all,

Photo by Cara Sutra (used with permission)

Yes, I know, I’m terribly behind in writing and getting this post up, but I have been stupidly busy all week, what with a new book coming out, and a bazillion and one other things to do. I’m sorry 🙁 *slaps own wrist* but I’m here now, so here’s my write up of Smut by the Sea

This year, the journey up to Scarborough was a breeze. Last year we had to leave late afternoon, which of course meant we hit rush hour traffic, and it went to hell from there. This year, the other half and I zipped away around lunchtime and pootled north east until we got our feet wet. We had a few hours wandering, playing 2p machines and buying fudge, before we convened in The Black Lion pub to start the celebrations off right! We didn’t have too late a night, though, knowing we had to be up early and reasonably sensible the following morning. After all, I had to be all editor-like, and the other half had to be a book selling maestro!

Saturday arrived without too much trouble, where we quickly realised one book selling table was not going to be enough – there were lots of awesome smutty books up for sale at a mere £5 each! The other half arranged them all (I don’t interfere – he likes things just so) while I wrote jazzy price labels, highlighted trilogies, exclusive tomes and encouraged folk to get their purchases autographed (what can I say – it makes us writers feel very special when we’re asked for an autograph!).

I’m sorry to say I missed the welcome session and the sessions from Victoria Blisse and K D Grace as I was still busy helping out on the book stall, putting swag on the lovely swag table and generally chatting with folk I see once a year if I’m lucky! By the time my session rolled around, I just about tore myself away from my lovely networking and headed in to the main room to be all editor-like. It was nerve-wracking indeed to see people sitting there who’ve been writing much longer than me and looking for editorial advice! I’d deliberately added in some interactive parts to the session so I didn’t just chat at people. Questions/prompts included:

  • Think outside the box! I shouted out several themes in turn and the attendees were to scribble down a story idea on that theme that was outside the box. The themes: seaside (well, it would have been rude not to!), alfresco, city, curvy women (or men!), lesbians (I was thinking of Sapphic Smut for this one).
  • Input time. I asked the audience to put their hands up if they knew how to double space a document and add indents.
  • Input time. What do people do, or think they should do when writing to avoid repetition.

There was a great deal of frowning (which I was later told was a thoughtful expression), pursed lips, “eureka” moments and frantic scribbling, so it seems my session hit the spot for a lot of people. Hopefully I armed the group with enough information to increase their chance of impressing editors in future – or at least making editors’ lives easier.

Lunchtime ensued, which prompted a mass exodus to the groaning (with weight, not disappointment!) sandwich table, where I was delighted to see Cadbury’s Mini Rolls. Loooove me some Cadbury’s. I reconvened with my book selling maestro other half to let him know how the session had gone, and he let me know how book sales were going. It seems there’s been a definite shift over the past few years we’ve been doing this – people have gone from preferring anthologies to preferring novels, so I was very glad I had copies of Stately Pleasures available 🙂

Next, Victoria Blisse started the Reading Slam, which was broken into two sessions so we could have a break in between for refreshments. I was in the last session, but went along to the first to cheer along my fellow readers, especially since there were a couple of first timers in there. Nerves were high, especially since Mistress Kay (also known as my lovely and not very scary at all friend Kay Jaybee) was dressed to thrill, armed with a stopwatch and a paddle, ready to apply said paddle to the arses of those that went over their allotted time. I think the audience enjoyed the anticipation of Mistress Kay stepping out from her podium and sidling towards the current reader as much as the readings themselves. I’m glad to report that there were some spankings doled out – namely to myself and Victoria Blisse! But I got my own back, for when Mistress Kay did her reading, I took over as timekeeper got in a sneaky thwack on her bottom! The crowd were most impressed – I don’t think they’ll forget that in a hurry 😉 It was fantastic for me to read out loud from Stately Pleasures for the first time, and I’d deliberately picked an utterly filthy bit, which seemed to go down well, if you’ll pardon the pun!

After a sad goodbye and rounds of thanks to attendees and the wonderful sponsors, other half, myself and others helped Victoria and her hubby Kev pack everything down, clear up and make sure Scarborough Library was left more or less as we’d found it.

But the fun was not over! Folk staying in town overnight headed to The Black Lion once more for (absolutely terrible) karaoke (except for Victoria and her sister, who were, um, better), lots of giggling and chatting and annoying the other punters by totally ignoring the football match. Much of what happened will stay between those four walls I’m afraid, but needless to say there was much laughter and rude talk!

And that, my friends, is Smut by the Sea in the smallest nutshell possible. My highlight, as always, was seeing old friends and meeting new ones, most especially the members of The Brit Babes Street Team who attended, where I was able to give hugs and get to know them better, after corresponding online for so long!

There is a come down after every one of these events… people not chatted to, or not for long enough, people who couldn’t make it… but the bright side is in just a few months, we’re doing it all again, but in the city. Yes, Smut Manchester is nigh! The event is still in its planning stages, but I’m already hearing whispers of fantastic sessions, cool readings and lots more naughtiness. So if you can get to Manchester, England, on 15th November, I’ll see you there!

Happy Reading,

Lucy x
